This paper put forward a novel method combining posture tracking algorithm with proportional bone measurement, which can fully fit the skeleton of human body to provide a new idea for acupoint recognition of massage robot, and improve its accuracy and efficiency. The above method is simulated in Python to realize the function of massage robot to find acupoints automatically. The result shows that it takes less time to find more accurate and more quantities acupoints.

The measurement and analysis of human motion is widely used in rehabilitation, athletics, ergonomics, diagnosis, bionics and computer graphics etc. We have developed a motion measurement and analysis system for human upper limb based on Polhemus (TM) electromagnetic tracking system in this paper. According to the skeleton structure of human, the joint coordinate systems were built in shoulder, elbow and wrist joint. Then put forward an improved algorithm to calculate motion parameters of upper limb based on above-mentioned model, and successfully programmed the algorithm with Visual C++ which can calculate the range of seven DOF in motion with data collected by the electromagnetic sensors. Finally, basic actions of human arm in ADLs were measured using this system, and the range of seven DOF in motion were got The test shows it is an accurate and easy way for motion measurement of upper limb.

Any cloth simulation system needs the aerodynamics model to describe the dynamic behavior of the cloth interacting with the air. Different air force model has different simplification treatment with different approximation degree. In this paper, we present a quantitative evaluation method for simplified air force models, and experimentally investigate 5 different air force models which are all commonly used in cloth simulations. The results show that the lift component, which was usually neglected in air force models, actually plays an important role in the simulation. Moreover, when the air field is simplified as the linear global wind field, the air force model containing the linear drag component and simple upward lift component matches the real cloth motion better than the complicated nonlinear ones.

A near-field modeling technique was applied to modeling of a halogen extended light source. The modeling was performed to create a continuous set of rays which can then be used in raytracing for the purpose of designing a reflector. The nearfield modeling was implemented by acquiring a series of images of the source using CCD camera with wide-angle lens focused at infinity. Optical ray model, which involved geometrical and ray modeling of the source to match its measured luminous intensity distribution, was also developed. Luminous intensity distribution as well as illuminance pattern from a reflector/source combination, calculated using near-field and optical ray models, were compared. It is demonstrated, in this paper, that near-field modeling technique has several advantages over the optical ray modeling technique when used for computer design of reflectors.

In this study, we present an application of the Piece-wise Constant Strain (PCS) model to a flexible deformation analysis of a sports prosthesis leg. Dynamic motion analysis of an athlete wearing a sports prosthesis is important to clarify a relationship between the prosthesis characteristics and the performance of an athlete, which contributes to training of an athlete or design of the prosthesis. However, there are few studies on modeling of the three-dimensional deformation of the sports prosthesis. In soft robotics, the PCS model was proposed for calculating a flexible deformation of a beam or rod structure with a low computational cost. We employ the PCS model to calculate the flexible deformation of the prosthesis, assuming that its structure can be discretized into a finite number of segments. Moreover, we propose an estimation method of the prosthesis stiffness using optical motion capture data and calculating the semi-definite programming.
