The study investigates the interplay of human-computer interaction (HCI) quality, user participation, and perceived value in technology interactions. The authors aim to elucidate the mediating role of user participation and the moderating effect of task complexity. Using structural equation modeling, we analyzed a diverse dataset of user feedback. The measurement and structural models are employed to determine the structural paths and predictive capability of the proposed model. Our findings indicate that user participation significantly mediates the impact of HCI quality on perceived value. Further, task complexity moderates these relationships, highlighting its role in enhancing or attenuating the perceived value of digital experiences. These findings provide insights for HCI design, emphasizing the need for user-centered systems that adapt to task complexity. Enhancing perceived value in technology interactions is essential, impacting user satisfaction, loyalty, and ultimately, the success of digital services.

Traditional measurement methods in underground mining tunnels have faced inefficiencies, limited accuracy, and operational challenges, consuming significant time and labor in complex environments. These limitations severely restrict the efficiency and quality of mine management and engineering design. To enhance the efficiency and accuracy of 3D modeling in underground tunnels, this study combines portable 3D LiDAR scanning technology with simultaneous localization and mapping. This integration enables autonomous positioning and efficient modeling without external positioning signals. The proposed approach effectively acquires high-resolution 3D data in complex environments, ensuring data accuracy and model reliability. Highresolution scanning of multiple critical areas was conducted onsite, with inertial navigation systems correcting the device's pose information. Automated data processing software was used for filtering, denoising, and modeling the collected data, leading to precise 3D tunnel models. Validation results indicate that portable laser scanning technology offers significant advantages in efficiency, accuracy, and safety, meeting the geological surveying and engineering needs of mining operations. The application of portable 3D laser scanning technology demonstrates considerable benefits in the rapid modeling of underground tunnels, providing effective technical support to improve mine management efficiency and safety. It also reveals broad application prospects.

High criticality space systems frequently have real-time requirements. Therefore, it is important to be able to compute the Worst Case Execution Time (WCET) of its software. However, with the complexity of modern processor architectures, it is very difficult to compute the WCET with traditional methods, such as static timing analysis or measurement based solutions. Recently, a novel timing analysis method was introduced, known as measurement Based Probabilistic Timing Analysis (MBPTA). A unique characteristic of MBPTA compared to traditional methods is that it produces a Probabilistic WCET (pWCET) which instead of a single overestimated value is a curve that associates execution times with probabilities which can reach arbitrary low values (e.g. 10(-14)). MBPTA simplifies the estimation of pWCET by simply requiring the collection of execution times which are independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.). However, this property is not satisfied in conventional hardware and software systems. Special hardware designs have been proposed which provide hardware-based time-randomisation, including a probabilistic version of Cobham Gaisler's LEON3 as well as software solutions in the form of software randomisation. However, existing software randomisation methods only support CPUs, are very restrictive (i.e. support only ANSI C) and more importantly are not open source. This limits significantly the applicability of these methods in space, although ESA has supported in the past activities related to MBPTA hardware and software (P4S-PROARTIS for Space and EFL-Eviction Frequency Limitation). In this ESA-funded project, we implement an open source, qualifiable software randomisation tool which will be able to software randomise code for CPUs, including multicores as well as GPUs, which to our knowledge are not amenable to any WCET solution.
