Mobile edge computing (MEC) extends cloud computing capabilities to the network edge, enabling efficient processing of compute-intensive tasks from resource-constrained devices. However, static edge servers can lead to service vulnerabilities due to dynamic user device locations. This paper introduces a vehicle edge computing (VEC) architecture, leveraging vehicles’ idle computing resources to serve as mobile edge servers for nearby vehicles. As the number of vehicles and compute-intensive tasks increases, substantial data exchanges between vehicles and edge servers raise significant security risks in VEC networks lacking security measures. To address the security challenges and manage computing resources, we integrate VEC with blockchain technology, creating a secure offloading framework. Focusing on video task offloading generated by vehicle applications, we propose a resource allocation scheme that comprehensively considers video compression, offloading decisions, bandwidth, and computational resource constraints. This scheme is formulated as a mixed, discrete, non-convex joint optimization problem aimed at maximizing system revenue. Since this type of problem is usually an NP-hard problem, discrete variable relaxation and product term replacement are applied to transform it into a convex optimization problem, and an alternating direction method of multipliers-based distributed resource allocation (ADMM-DRA) algorithm is proposed to solve it. simulation experiments show that compared with other algorithms, ADMM-DRA can achieve the highest system revenue, effectively reduce system latency, and improve resource utilization.

Management and secure exchange of power data assets are favorable to fostering value mining of power data assets, which is crucial to the growth of the power business. In order to prevent data leaking, safeguard the rights and interests of data providers, and offer appropriate rates to the demand side, it is sufficient for power data transactions to involve simply the exchange of the original data computation and analysis findings. In order to facilitate the trading and sharing of the results of calculations and analyses performed on the original data, the blockchain data sharing system must offer a data computing service. In this piece, we propose a homomorphic encryption smart contract-based system for exchanging electrical data, and we show how to put that system into action with the Fabric super ledger. The data computing services defined by smart contracts are carried out in protected Docker containers, achieving a trustworthy data computing environment. This article explores the selection method of an algorithm, taking the implementation of aggregate addition calculation function as an example. Paillier and integer vector homomorphic algorithms have superior encryption and computational efficiency compared to CKKS algorithm, so the first two algorithms are more suitable for implementing aggregate addition calculation function. Finally, this article completed the design and implementation of a prototype system for power data security sharing. The system's sharing operation performance was tested using a blockchain testing framework, and the performance of four functional transactions was tested at the second level, demonstrating the usability of the solution.

As energy problems become more and more prominent, efficient power transmission methods are particularly important. Ultra-high voltage direct current (UHV DC) transmission technology has become a key force for power transmission due to its advantages of high voltage, long distance, large capacity and low loss. However, the stable operation of the rectification link in the UHV DC transmission system is a prerequisite for the high quality transmission of electric energy. In this paper, genetic fuzzy immune Proportion Integration Differentiation (PID) algorithm is applied to Ultra-high voltage (UHV) rectification based on three-phase bridge rectifier circuit. First, the increments of the integral and differential coefficients in the PID parameters are dynamically solved using the fuzzy algorithm and added to the corresponding initial values as the final integral and differential coefficients. Then, the scale factor is determined by the immune algorithm and the immune parameters are adjusted by the genetic algorithm. Simulink simulation results show that the genetic fuzzy immune PID algorithm can be applied to the UHV rectification system to reduce the rectification output voltage and current overshoot, pulsation is small, response is fast, signal tracking ability is strong, and the rectification voltage and current will not fluctuate with the fluctuation of the grid and has good stability.

Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is a promising 5G technology, but the high energy consumption from numerous radio components is a key challenge. Prior work has explored higher than 4-bit ADCs, but very low 1-2 bit remain uninvestigated. This paper provides an in-depth examination of the resolution versus power savings and signal quality degradation trade-offs with 1–3-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) in Massive MIMO systems. Mathematical modeling and simulations quantify the exponential reduction in power consumption along with losses in key performance metrics like signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR), throughput, and spectral efficiency with lower ADC resolutions stemming from increased quantization noise. Advanced linear detection techniques are shown to effectively recover the signal quality degradation. The analysis provides valuable insights on jointly optimizing ADC configuration and signal processing to maximize overall system efficiency. Energy savings of over 50% are demonstrated with 1-bit ADCs along with the ability to maintain acceptable performance metrics using linear detectors. The practical implementation feasibility is also discussed. This work enables ultra-low-resolution ADC deployments in energy-efficient Massive MIMO systems.

The transfer molding process is already widely applied in IC packaging since it significantly improves the structure reliability. However, in the molding process, the mold voids and wire exposed have always been around in the encapsulation process, which is a problem that needs further investigation. This study focuses on the mold flow behaviour of an open cavity QFN module with a different open cavity design. In this paper, the computational fluid dynamics simulation with a three-dimensional model was developed to analyse the flow behaviour of Epoxy molding compound, and the parameters that affect the transfer molding situation were studied in the mold flow analysis, including mold temperature, transfer speed, pre-heat time and cavity size. The simulation resulted in a proper understanding of the actual situation and through observing the melt front flow, we could predict the void movement trend and the exact locations and sizes of the voids. The analysis showed that these parameters mentioned above strongly influenced the mold flow and air trap location. The simulation analysis helps select optimal molding parameters and cavity size for the mold void issue on molding process.

With the development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, sensor networks are widely used for data collection in various IoT scenarios. Traditional sensors use multi-hop communication to transmit data back to the data center, which can lead to excessive energy consumption in some nodes and cause the collapse of sensor networks. Solving the data transmission problem in sensor networks has become a critical issue. In recent years, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) capable of hovering have been increasingly applied in military and civilian fields, such as smart logistics, edge computing, and wireless power transfer (WPT). UAVs, with their strong controllability and high mobility, can effectively perform the task of data transmission in sensor networks. In the task of UAV -assisted sensor data collection, UAVs can establish communication connections with ground sensors through small communication devices and act as mobile aggregation nodes to collect data from the ground wireless sensor network. To achieve energy balance among sensor network nodes as much as possible while ensuring service quality based on information age, we propose a combinatorial optimization problem. Ultimately, we solve the combinatorial optimization problem by optimizing the trajectory of UAV flight. As the problem is a mixed-integer non-convex optimization which is difficult to solve, we propose a UAV swarm-based sensor trajectory planning algorithm using multi-agent reinforcement learning. simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a better effect than baseline approaches on optimization objective.

A virtual machine placement strategy based on sine and cosine perturbation and reverse learning particle swarm optimization is proposed to solve the problem of insufficient optimization of internal resource consumption in data center. First of all, the integer encoding method is used to solve the shortcoming of the tedious operation of binary encoding on the virtual machine placement problem. Secondly, the quality of the initial solution is improved by the inverse learning strategy to initialize the population, the method of sine and cosine perturbation is used to avoid the particle swarm optimization algorithm falling into the locally optimal solution, and the ability of exploration and development is explored by the open downward parabola adaptive adjustment. Then, with minimizing resource consumption as the optimization goal, a constrained optimization model for virtual machine placement in the data center is established. Finally, the relevant experiments prove that this strategy can effectively reduce resource consumption and ensure service quality, and it has a good application prospect. © 2021 ACM.

Mold level stability is a very important factor in the continuous casting process. To effectively control the liquid level at the set value, solve the problems of disturbance, nonlinearity, and time-varying in the system, as well as modeling difficulties caused by uncertain factors, and aiming at the shortcomings of conventional PID control, the gray wolf algorithm is introduced the gray wolf optimization algorithm is used to self-tune the PID parameters, and the objective function is constructed based on the adjustment time and steady-state error of the mold liquid level system. Finally, the simulation and experimental results show that the algorithm optimization proposed in this paper is compared with the particle swarm algorithm, and the step response of the system is smoother. Gray Wolf optimized PID control has a fast response speed, with an adjustment time of 3.87s, which is lower than 13.46s for conventional PID control and 5.58s for the PSO algorithm. It can significantly improve the control accuracy and other performance indicators of the system. It provides a reference for improving the level control of the continuous casting mold. © 2021 IEEE.

To address the difficulty of the PID controller parameters tuning of gravity stabilized platform, an improved differential evolutionary (IDE) algorithm containing two currently better variational strategies is proposed. In the process of algorithm iteration, the mutation factor and crossover probability factor of the algorithm are gradually changed to improve the optimization performance of the algorithm. On this basis, the improved differential evolution algorithm is applied to the PID controller parameter tuning problem of gravity stabilized platform. simulation results show that the algorithm is effective and can be used to optimize the parameters of PID controller of gravity stabilization platform. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. Soil bacteria play a fundamental role in plant growth. This paper focuses on developing and testing some techniques designed to identify automatically such microorganisms. More specifically, the recognition performed here deals with the specific five genera of soil bacteria. Their microscopic images are classified with machine learning methods using shape and image texture descriptors. Feature determination based on shape relies on interpolation and curvature estimation whereas feature recognition based on image texture resorts to the spatial relationships between chrominance and luminance of pixels using co-occurrence matrices. From the variety of modelling methods applied here the best reported result amounts to 97% of accuracy. This outcome is obtained upon incorporating the set of features from both groups and subsequently merging classification and feature selection methods: Extreme Learning Machine Radial Basis Function with Sparse Multinomial Logistic Regression with Bayesian Regularization and also k-Nearest Neighbors classifier with Fast Correlation Based Filter. The optimal parameters involved in merged classifiers are obtained upon computational testing and simulation.
