This paper presents an in-depth study on the reconfiguration of power distribution networks (PDN) in two interconnected microgrids using a recent bio-based optimization algorithm, the Artificial Hummingbird Algorithm, to minimize power losses and improve voltage profile within interconnected microgrids while keeping the radial topology in each microgrid and within the two. The proposed approach is validated by simulation on two interconnected 20-bus systems, demonstrating its effectiveness in achieving a balance between minimizing losses and improving voltage profile while reducing the cost function. Additionally, the results provide valuable insights into the field of PDN reconfiguration, providing a practical framework to optimize network performance and promote sustainable energy management.

The paper describes the process of optimizing the blades of a starter air turbine for a gas turbine engine launch system. This task was initiated by the necessity to use an existing turbine when starting a new engine. During the study, it was found that the turbine, although it ensures the conditions for the joint operation with the auxiliary power unit turbine and meet the strength constraints, it does not allow to start the engine within the required time. As a result of studies using mathematical optimization methods involving commercial programs, a variant was found to modernize the baseline turbine, which provides an acceptable value of torque on the shaft with an adequate start- up time at all operating modes with minimal design changes.

In recent years, the prevalence of obese patients in China and the world has been increasing. Obese patients lack selfesteem and self-confidence in everyday activities, such as work and study. Apart from its adverse socio-psychological impact, obesity is well known to be also harmful to the human body. High levels of obesity lead to the accumulation of excessive quantities of subcutaneous fat, which can easily induce hyperlipidemia. Furthermore, obesity causes hyperglycemia and hyperuricemia. Certain negative effects are also exerted on male and female reproductive function, eventually leading to infertility. In this paper, a mathematical model was built based on relevant knowledge to effectively explore approaches to achieving healthy weight loss. Based on BP neural network, a practical weight loss model was constructed. In the processes of simulation and prediction, this study applied Bayesian regularization, L-M optimization, and momentum gradient descent algorithms. Then, in accordance with the algorithm, a formula was utilized to predict the whole weight loss process, and the actual result and error values of each algorithm were emphatically explored. Our present findings indicate that the L-M optimization algorithm can effectively and precisely simulate and predict the weight loss process, achieving the best simulation and prediction effects.

This paper presents a new analytical model for a Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) system using perimeter-gated single photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) based flash sensors. We have developed a Monte Carlo simulator to analyze the performance of perimeter-gated SPADs based LiDAR system for low-light scenarios. A perimeter-gated SPAD is an upgraded version of a Single Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD). It has a third terminal, a gate, to reduce the perimeter edge breakdown without unduly expanding the device's surface area. In addition, dark count rate, breakdown voltage, and dynamic range characteristics are all can be modified by the applied gate voltage. The simulation environment has been designed to precisely simulate the parts of a flash LiDAR system, including the optics, illumination source, and the perimeter-gated SPAD-based CMOS image sensor architecture. Results show that the applied gate voltage of the perimeter-gated SPAD improves the noise performance in the LiDAR system.

These days the wind power in the power system is increasing. It is very important to build a reasonable wind farm grid-connected model to study the dynamic characteristics of the power system. Due to the small capacity of wind turbines and many single units, the detailed modeling will have problems such as high model order and long simulation time. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out equivalent modeling of wind farms. At present, the research on the equivalence of wind turbines mainly focuses on the equivalence of wind turbine electrical modules. They cannot fit the low voltage ride-through characteristics of wind turbines well. Therefore, this paper proposes an equivalent method for LVRT characteristics of wind farms based on PSO. The simulation results in PSASP show that the equivalent method can reduce the model order and improve the simulation calculation speed by performing dynamic equivalence of wind turbines. And these winds have the same structure and control method but different LVRT control parameters.

The signal components of single-phase grounding current in resonant grounding system contain rich fault characteristic information and are difficult to be fully utilized. A method for line selection using transient fault feature information is proposed. This method achieves information mining through spatiotemporal transformation, expands observation channels, and provides sufficient fault feature information. Adopting blind source separation algorithm to obtain and amplify fault signal features, eliminating compensation effects caused by component reversal. In addition, the concept of generalized correlation coefficient was proposed, and a line selection method based on line energy factor was first proposed. Both simulation calculation and field data-based experiments verify that the method can be applied to fault line selection of grounding system under complex fault conditions of multi type feeders, and accurate and reliable line selection results can be obtained.
