Quantum computing as a promising technology can utilize stochastic solutions instead of deterministic approaches for complicated scenarios for which classical computing is inefficient, provided that both the concerns of the error-prone nature of qubits and the limitation of the number of qubits are addressed carefully. In order to address both concerns, a new qubit-based distributed Quantum Error Correction (DQEC) architecture is proposed in which three physical qubits residing on three Quantum Processing Units (QPU) are used to form a logical qubit. This paper illustrates how three QPUs collaboratively generate a joint quantum state in which single bit-flip and phase-flip errors can be properly resolved. By reducing the number of qubits required to form a logical qubit in the proposed architecture, each QPU with its limited number of physical qubits can accommodate more logical qubits than when it has to devote its three physical qubits for each logical qubit. The functional correctness of the proposed architecture is evaluated through the Qiskit tool and stabilizer generators. Moreover, the fidelity of input and output quantum states, the complexity of the proposed designs, and the dependency between error probability and correctness of the proposed architecture are analyzed to prove its effectiveness.

Among the most critical and rapidly growing challenges related to climate change, one of its effects makes a significant impact on both ecosystems and human societies. The traditional approach to mitigation of climate change is traditionally related to computational scalability along with processing data in real-time; it usually constrains the system to respond efficiently and timely. In contrast, this research idea proposes using cloud computing technologies from the perspective of AWS Cloud services to handle these challenges by providing scalable and flexible computing resources. This project will focus on accuracy in climate prediction and effective mitigation strategies using advanced techniques of distributed computing and machine learning algorithms. The project will aggregate large-scale environmental data, deploy distributed computing systems using AWS cloud, and integrate machine learning algorithms to provide actionable insights and effective strategies to combat climate change.

Efficient nearest neighbor search is crucial for applications such as web search, mobile browsing, and Natural Language Processing (NLP), where rapid text retrieval from vast datasets is required. As data scales, traditional brute- force approaches become computationally expensive, necessitating optimized methods. This work introduces an enhanced Locality Sensitive Hashing (LSH) framework tailored for distributed computing environments, leveraging Hadoop for large-scale processing. By incorporating optimized LSH variants, our approach improves efficiency while maintaining high recall rates. Experimental evaluations demonstrate that our method surpasses conventional LSH implementations in retrieval accuracy while ensuring computational scalability, making it suitable for real-world applications requiring rapid text similarity assessments.

In distributed quantum computing (DQC), achieving consensus with adversarial elements presents a critical challenge. This paper proposes an innovative framework that enhances the Quantum Byzantine Agreement (QBA) protocol by integrating practical quantum error mitigation techniques, specifically Quantum Readout Error Mitigation (QREM) and Dynamical Decoupling (DD). Utilizing Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) devices, our approach aims to improve operational reliability significantly. Our results demonstrate that QREM and DD effectively mitigate common quantum channel errors through rigorous experimentation on both simulated environments and IBM’s quantum hardware. The proposed protocol also introduces a verification mechanism inspired by Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems, ensuring the secure transmission of commands encoded in quantum states. In cases of discrepancies, lieutenants engage in systematically designed interactions to achieve consensus, influenced by the Commander’s strategic decisions and the network’s size. Our empirical analysis highlights the protocol’s enhanced resilience and efficiency under various conditions, while also addressing challenges related to scalability as the network size increases.

A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a powerful system of distributed caching servers that aims to accelerate content delivery, like high-definition video, IoT applications, and ultra-low-latency services, efficiently and with fast velocity. This has become of paramount importance in the post-pandemic era. Challenges arise when exponential content volume growth and scalability across different geographic locations are required. This paper investigates data-driven evaluations of CDN algorithms in dynamic server selection for latency reduction, bandwidth throttling for efficient resource management, real-time Round Trip Time analysis for adaptive routing, and programmatic network delay simulation to emulate various conditions. Key performance metrics, such as round-trip time (RTT) and CPU usage, are carefully analyzed to evaluate scalability and algorithmic efficiency through two experimental setups: a constrained edge-like local system and a scalable FABRIC testbed. The statistical validation of RTT trends, alongside CPU utilization, is presented in the results. The optimization process reveals significant trade-offs between scalability and resource consumption, providing actionable insights for effectively deploying and enhancing CDN algorithms in edge and distributed computing environments.

distributed Quantum computing (DQC) enables the execution of quantum circuits across multiple interconnected quantum processing units (QPUs), but requiring efficient qubit allocation and network topology design to optimize computational performance. Proper qubit allocation minimizes entanglement costs across QPUs, balances computational workload, and ensures efficient execution of quantum computing tasks. Meanwhile, network topology plays a crucial role in reducing entanglement routing complexity and communication overhead for remote quantum gate operations. In this paper, we propose a joint optimization framework for network topology design and qubit allocation in DQC to minimize the communication overhead. We formulate the problem as a tractable integer nonlinear programming model that explicitly incorporates entanglement routing, thereby ensuring a more tractable optimization process. To further improve computational efficiency, we present a partially linearized version of the problem, making it solvable using any classical optimization solver. Extensive simulations on both random and real-world quantum circuits validate the effectiveness of our proposed approach, demonstrating its capability to handle complex quantum circuits while reducing communication costs in DQC.

Artificial Intelligence, particularly in Machine Learning and related research areas such as Operational Research, currently faces a reproducibility crisis. Researchers encounter difficulties reproducing key results due to lacking critical details, including the disconnection between publications and the associated codes, data, and parameter settings. Solutions that improve code accessibility, data provenance tracking, research transparency, auditing of obtained results, and trust can significantly accelerate algorithm and model development, validation, and transition into real-world applications. Blockchain technology, with its features of decentralization, data immutability, cryptographic hash functions, and consensus algorithms, provides a promising avenue for developing such solutions. By leveraging the distributed ledger working over a peer-to-peer network, a secure and auditable infrastructure can be established for sharing and controlling data in a trusted manner. Our analysis examines the current state-of-the-art blockchain-based proposals that target reproducibility issues in the Machine Learning domain. Based on the analysis of existing solutions, we propose a high-level architecture and main modules for developing a blockchain-based platform that enhances reproducible research in Machine Learning and can be adapted to other Artificial Intelligence domains. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The surge in interconnected applications, particularly in AI, IoT, and intelligent infrastructure, imposes new demands on communication networks, requiring them to handle high data volumes, support real-time exchanges, and dynamically adapt to fluctuating conditions. Traditional networking models, reliant on centralized processing and static protocols, are insufficient to meet these evolving needs, resulting in inefficiencies, latency, and scalability issues. This paper introduces a biologically inspired networking paradigm that mimics neurobiological principles such as event-driven communication, distributed intelligence, and adaptive resource management. By conceptualizing data types as analogous to neurotransmitters and infrastructure learning as synaptic plasticity, the framework provides a dynamic, scalable solution that enhances efficiency and resilience. The proposed model is particularly suited for resource-constrained environments, dynamically optimizing resource allocation and communication pathways in real time. Simulations demonstrate significant improvements in latency, resource utilization, scalability, and reliability, proving its potential as a foundation for next-generation networks.

The ever-growing complexity of IoT networks ignited by their wide scale adoption in applications such as smart cities, the industrial automation, and health care, compelled to develop sophisticated yet resource efficient and scalable network management solution. Centralized systems are traditional in architecture, which leads to higher latency and bottlenecks, while decentralized systems can distribute workloads however the lack of adaptability to real time, along with the difficulty of extracting maximum resource usage, are limitations. In recent years, reinforcement learning (RL) based approaches have taken shape as a promising alternative to facilitate the automated learning and optimisation of task management. However, there are two challenges for existing RL based methods: slow convergence, inefficient priority assignment of tasks, and poor coordination amongst agents in the case of dynamic, large scale IoT environment. To solve these challenges, in this research we propose a distributed reinforcement learning based multi agent framework for managing IoT network. The framework also integrates a task prioritization mechanism to dynamically choose an optimal task allocation solution. Further validation was performed in a simulated IoT environment where real world inspired datasets were used. The proposed framework demonstrated 30% more task throughput than centralized, 25% less latency than decentralized, and 40% more energy efficiency than current RL based systems. The system was further validated using advanced visualizations such as anomaly detection maps and resource allocation efficiency graphs, demonstrating its capacity to manage dynamic load of tasks and resource allocation. The proposed framework addresses the critical limitations of current methods, through scalable, adaptive, and energy efficient framework for managing IoT network, and accordingly helps advancing the intelligent and autonomous IoT systems. © 2025 IEEE.

Modern businesses and Governments rely on Cloud computing for offering Internet based services to their users as the cloud offers a Reliable and Secure hosting platform complying with the CIA triad of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) is a threat to the availability pillar of the CIA triad which floods the infrastructure, network resources or websites with high volume of artificial traffic to overwhelm the Cloud resources preventing legitimate users from accessing the services leading to loss of revenue and reputation. As the attacks are distributed, the incoming flood of traffic appears to originate from numerous sources, making it practically impossible to deter the attacks by conventional methods of blocking source IPs. This article provides an overview of the impact and Taxonomy of DDoS attacks in the Cloud computing environment followed by various approaches for the identification of DDoS attacks and devising effective countermeasures for proactive mitigation of application layer attacks to secure the production environment from potential loss incurred towards service downtime.
