In the era of mobile Internet and cloud computing, the rise of big data has profoundly impacted diverse industries and sectors, drawing significant scholarly attention. The objective of this paper is to delineate an overview of the international research landscape of big data, identifying key research hotspots and emerging trends. To gain a comprehensive overview of the current state of research in the field of big data, we employed a range of analytical techniques, including co-word analysis, clustering analysis, social network analysis, and dynamic strategy coordinate mapping. Our review encompassed articles published between 2017 and 2019, spanning a three-year period. The data were sourced from the SCI, SSCI, SPCI, and CPCI-SSH databases. The literature was subjected to a sysytematic analysis using Bibexcel, SPSS, and Gephi software, with the objective of uncovering distinct patterns and trends. The findings reveal 11 thematic clusters within international big data research. These are text mining, data fusion, distributed computing, Industry 4.0, data privacy, business intelligence, precision medicine, bioinformatics, and data mining techniques such as classification and clustering. It is noteworthy that Industry 4.0, data privacy, and text mining emerged as significant research hotspots. Furthermore, the fields of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, smart grids, energy big data, and wireless sensor networks are regarded as emerging areas of interest. It is anticipated that the convergence of bioinformatics and other pivotal areas of big data research, will serve as the impetus for future research hotspots, necessitating sustained scholarly investigation and discourse.

Faulty nodes are expected to have a significant effect on the performance of Big Data systems. The cause of discharges, on the other hand, is a complex issue. The previous work has mostly focused on identifying Stragglers, optimizing the quality of programming, and root cause investigation. These methods can't offer useful information unless they can assist users automate their services. We are developing a framework that determines when there will be stragglers and must identify gaps to prevent those circumstances. This research proposed a dynamic log collection of heterogeneous virtual machine data and detect the faulty node based on execution performance using various parameters. We introduce multi-task learning mechanisms in this paper, which exchange knowledge between the different versions of nodes. The system first collects log data from available data nodes and applies an unsupervised machine learning technique to detect the straggler. Moreover, once a straggler has been detected by the learning algorithm, it tries mitigating such nodes instead of eliminating those nodes. The major benefit of this research is that the system can handle massive data with minimum data nodes or even system efficiently work with already heated nodes in a distributed environment. Our compositions absorb the shared context in our data, enhancing sweeping statement efficiency on minimal data, unlike naive inter learning frameworks. © 2021 IEEE.

In parallel and distributed file systems, caching can improve data performance and metadata operations. Currently, most distributed file systems adopt a write-back data cache for performance and a write-through metadata cache for simplifying consistency. However, with modern file systems scales and workloads, write-through metadata caching can impact overall file system performance, e.g., through lock contention and heavy RPC loads required for namespace synchronization and transaction serialization. This paper proposes a novel metadata write-back caching (MetaWBC) mechanism to improve the performance of metadata operations in distributed environments. To achieve extreme metadata performance, we developed a fast, lightweight, and POSIXcompatible memory file system as a metadata cache. Further, we designed a file caching state machine and included other performance optimizations. We coupled MetaWbc with Lustre and evaluated that MetaWbc can outperform the native parallel file system by up to 8x for metadata-intensive benchmarks, and up to 7x for realistic workloads in throughput.

Deploying V2X services has become a challenging task. This is mainly due to the fact that such services have strict latency requirements. To meet these requirements, one potential solution is adopting mobile edge computing (MEC). However, this presents new challenges including how to find a cost efficient placement that meets other requirements such as latency. In this work, the problem of cost-optimal V2X service placement (CO-VSP) in a distributed cloud/edge environment is formulated. Additionally, a cost-focused delay-aware V2X service placement (DA-VSP) heuristic algorithm is proposed. Simulation results show that both CO-VSP model and DA-VSP algorithm guarantee the QoS requirements of all such services and illustrates the tradeoff between latency and deployment cost.

The advent of Software-Defined Networks (SDN) introduces centralized management, enabling scalability to support a significantly larger number of devices than traditional networks. However, this scalability generates extensive monitoring data, necessitating advanced analysis techniques. This research focuses on utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the SDN paradigm to enhance anomaly detection. A systematic literature review identified current challenges and opportunities in this domain. Based on these insights, a reference architecture was developed, integrating advanced features such as dynamic sliding windows for training optimization, a standardized ubiquitous data model, and separation of concerns (SoC) leveraging industry-standard frameworks like eTOM and SID. The architecture emphasizes interpretability through explainable AI (XAI), scalability via microservices, and resilience with a distributed SDN controller. Adversarial sample generation was incorporated to strengthen anomaly detection models. A proof of concept validated the architecture's feasibility, demonstrating successful anomaly detection and remediation across varying business scenarios. This study highlights the adaptability of AI models for specific anomaly types and underscores the potential of this architecture in automating large-scale network management, enhancing security, and increasing resilience.

Next generation 5G network provides solution for rigorous demand for data with increasing network speeds. Now-a-days cell free 5G network can resolve many issues such as interference that appear in cellular configuration. Massive MIMO with cell free configuration is one of the solutions for massive-MIMO with conventional cellular network. This is also called cell free (CF) MIMO in massive. A CF Massive-MIMO system consists of number of access points (APs) which are distributed uniformly. It serves few numbers of user equipment at same frequency or time resources. It is based on characteristics of channel which is measured directly. Eachuser and APs possess only single antenna. The channel state information is acquired by APs through time division duplex(TDD)operation. Users transmits uplink pilot signals. The Multiplexing/de-multiplexing performed by APs through matched filtering during uplink and conjugate beamforming during downlink. The simplified expressions for uplink and downlink throughputs of single user would lead to maximum/minimum power control algorithms. The objective is to focus a comparative analysis on optimized cell free network which has maximum the coverage area, and a minimum transmission power. The interference problem can be resolved in operation of cell free network and it can resolve by using cell free network that appear normally in cellular network. The major challenge is to achieve the benefits of cell-free configuration that it can scalable to large network with increase in number of users. A frame work could arrive for scalable massive MIMO in cell free system by using the concept of dynamic cooperation cluster (DCC). Several algorithms are used for jointly initial access to appoints master AP, assignment of pilot signals to invite other APs, and cluster formation. It has been proved that it can be scalable. High-energy astrophysical neutrinos, discovered by IceCube, are now regularly observed, albeit at a low rate due to their low flux. As a result, open questions about high-energy neutrino astrophysics and particle physics remain limited by statistics at best, or unanswered at worst. Fortunately, this situation will improve soon: in the next few years, a host of new neutrino telescopes, currently under planning and construction, will come online. It is natural to combine their collected observing power: we propose the Planetary Neutrino Monitoring System (PLEvM), a concept for a global repository of high-energy neutrino observations, in order to finally give firm answers to open questions. PLEvM will reach up to four times the exposure available today by combining the exposures of current and future neutrino telescopes distributed around the world – IceCube, IceCube-Gen2, Baikal-GVD, KM3NeT, and P-ONE. Depending on the declination and spectral index, PLEvM will improve the sensitivity to astrophysical neutrinos by up to two orders of magnitude. We present first estimates on the capability of PLEvM to discover Galactic and extragalactic sources of astrophysical neutrinos and to characterize the diffuse flux of high-energy neutrinos in unprecedented detail. © Copyright owned by the author(s).

Recently, asynchronous byzantine fault tolerance (BFT) consensus has made progress in linearized communication complexity, allowing nodes to broadcast a small number of transactions at their own pace in networks with variable bandwidth. However, this means that network propagation delay poses a more severe bottleneck to the system compared to transmission delay affected by block size and bandwidth. Particularly in networks with high propagation delays, nodes need to wait more for messages to propagate through the network, which severely hinders system performance. We propose Swarm, an asynchronous BFT protocol that is suitable for networks with tight bandwidth and propagation delay. The new protocol structure supports highly concurrent propagation-delay-intensive and propagationdelay-tolerant stages by separating the control and data layers and ensures that nodes achieve an ordered and consistent log for parallel blocks. We also design a group broadcasting strategy that allows nodes to not broadcast proposals from other nodes without compromising safety and liveness while reducing communication cost. Importantly, our work is orthogonal to existing improvements based on communication complexity and bandwidth and does not sacrifice existing results. We built a complete system prototype and conducted a thorough evaluation. The results show that Swarm performs better in networks with higher propagation delays, achieving 2-5x TPS and reducing latency by 50% compared to existing asynchronous protocols for different scales.
