In light of the vulnerabilities in traditional medical information systems, including the susceptibility to malicious tampering of patients’ medical records, opaque access decisions, and challenges in data sharing, this paper introduces a fine-grained security sharing model for medical information based on blockchain. Firstly, it leverages blockchain technology in conjunction with attribute-based access control to automate multi-authority fine-grained access control through smart contracts. Secondly, it categorizes sensitive attributes of different users and electronic medical records into distinct levels, implementing personalized privacy protection within the transaction workflow using local differential privacy policies and varying privacy budgets. Finally, a prototype system, built upon a consortium blockchain, was developed and tested using a dataset of 100,000 real-world electronic medical records. Experimental results demonstrate the model’s capability to facilitate stable and reliable transactions between electronic medical record publishers and requestors while ensuring privacy protection.

The primary objective is to enhance the precision of the Support Vector Machine and evaluate it in comparison to the Naive Bayes algorithm in terms of its ability to forecast fake political news on social media networks. This research work focuses on two groups: Support Vector Machine and Naive Bayes Algorithm, where each group is executed for 10 times. The ClinCalc software was used in calculating samples in which the alpha value is considered as 0.05, and the confidence interval of 95%. Result: There is a statistically significant difference between the algorithm used by Improved Support Vector Machine and Naive Baye with P value as 0.001 (Independent Sample t-Test P<0.05) in SPSS statistical analysis. The accuracy of the Improved method Support Vector Machine is 98.12%, which appears to be superior to Naive Baye of 95.03% correspondingly. Conclusion: According to the results, the Support vector machine has an accuracy of 98.12%, which is higher than the Naive Bayes accuracy of 95.03%.

Edge computing established paradigms are prone to implicate solely powerful server-like edge nodes, in static or semistatic topologies, of centrally-controlled edge networks. In this paper, leveraging upon recent technological advancements and trends, we introduce a novel networking paradigm employing resources provided by independent crowd peers, within a zone of local proximity, to establish collaborative networks for edge computing. We call this paradigm the Crowdsourced Edge. We detail the architecture and characteristics of this novel paradigm, highlighting its unique characteristics and specific challenges, while also positioning it vis-a-vis the existing edge computing concretisations. Finally, we demonstrate the Crowdsourced Edge functionality by presenting an ongoing use case regarding a video-enhanced object search.

The problem of distributing database fragments across multiple sites in the network is challenging due to computing and communication costs in the network, storage size, delays caused by data requests queueing and costs for maintaining consistency among the fragments. In addition, the huge amount of the data makes it inefficient to join them and create an explicit database for performing global computations. In this paper, we propose a new k-nearest neighbor's classifier for situational input stored in geographically distributed databases. The proposed algorithm is suitable and effective for distributed databases that conduct global computations across geographically distributed databases by sharing only summaries and prevent any data tuples from being transferred across the network. It performs global computations without creating an explicit database and reduces communication costs as much as possible. Reliable results are obtained through minimum information disclosure and protects the privacy of data at the individual sites in the network. © 2021 ACM.

As a diagnostic method of equipment operational status, vibration monitoring plays a significant role in industrial systems. It is necessary to monitor multiple equipment components simultaneously, due to their different vibration modes. Previous solutions either work in an invasive manner or face challenges in object localization and results correspondence. Therefore, we propose VibCamera, a vibration monitoring system that combines mmWave radar and computer vision technology. We propose an expand-shrink method to optimize object detection results of computer vision and combine camera localization results to extract mmWave signals. Additionally, we employ mmWave data recombination and respective fitting methods to calculate the vibration characteristics for each point accurately. The experiment shows that after fusing visual information, the target detection accuracy is improved to 94.8%, and the cluster point efficiency is improved by 23.3%. Furthermore, amplitude and frequency measurement errors are reduced to 29.1μm and 0.08Hz, respectively.

The article provides an overview of modern methods and algorithms for detecting hidden communities in social networks, a crucial task given the rapid growth of data volumes and the complexity of network structures. The analysis covers clustering approaches and structural characterization of social graphs, including label propagation algorithms, density-based methods, as well as modularity and distributed computing algorithms. The paper explores the identification of implicit connections among users formed by shared interests, social environments, or behavioral patterns. A comprehensive evaluation of approaches to modeling network structures and interpreting interpersonal connections is provided, leveraging text content analysis, social interaction, and influence metrics. Challenges in computational efficiency and algorithm convergence for large-scale data analysis are discussed, alongside proposed improvements for testing and validation methods. Experimental studies validate the developed algorithms on various social graph structures, including real-world and synthetic data, highlighting the influence of topological and behavioral factors on community detection quality. The paper also describes some methods and algorithms for analysing users and communities.

distributed locks are used to guarantee the distributed client-cache coherence in parallel file systems. However, they lead to poor performance in the case of parallel writes under high-contention workloads. We analyze the distributed lock manager and find out that lock conflict resolution is the root cause of the poor performance, which involves frequent lock revocations and slow data flushing from client caches to data servers. We design a distributed lock manager named SeqDLM by exploiting the sequencer mechanism. SeqDLM mitigates the lock conflict resolution overhead using early grant and early revocation while keeping the same semantics as traditional distributed locks. To evaluate SeqDLM, we have implemented a parallel file system called ccPFS using both SeqDLM and traditional distributed locks. Evaluations on 96 nodes show SeqDLM outperforms the traditional distributed locks by up to $\boldsymbol{10.3}\times$ for high-contention parallel writes on a shared file with multiple stripes.

When dealing with the Internet of Things (IoT), especially industrial IoT (IIoT), two manifest challenges leap to mind. First is the massive amount of data streaming to and from IoT devices, and second is the fast pace at which these systems must operate. distributed computing in the form of edge/cloud structure is a popular technique to overcome these two challenges. In this paper, we propose ADDAI (Anomaly Detection using distributed AI) that can easily span out geographically to cover a large number of IoT sources. Due to its distributed nature, it guarantees critical IIoT requirements such as high speed, robustness against a single point of failure, low communication overhead, privacy, and scalability. Through empirical proof, we show the communication cost is minimized, and the performance improves significantly while maintaining the privacy of raw data at the local layer. ADDAI provides predictions for new random samples with an average success rate of 98.4% while reducing the communication overhead by half compared with the traditional technique of offloading all the raw sensor data to the cloud. © 2021 IEEE.

Nowadays, urban communities are planned to change to a smart city. As per late investigations, the utilization of information from contributors and physical items in numerous urban communities plays a key component in the change toward a smart city. The ‘smart city’ standard is described by omnipresent computing resources for the watching and basic control of such city's structure, medical services, environment, transportation, and utilities. Mist computing is considered as registering model, which performs IoT applications at the edge of the physical devices. To keep up the quality of service (QoS), it is great to utilize context-aware computing as well as cloud computing simultaneously. In this article, the author implements an optimization strategy applying a dynamic resource allocation method based on genetic algorithm and reinforcement learning in combination with a load balancing procedure in a secured environment. The proposed Secure-M2FBalancer model directs the traffic in the network unremittingly, gathers the data about each server load, moves the incoming query, and distributes them among available servers equally utilizing dynamic resource allocation strategy. The proposed model comprises four layers, i.e. IoT layer, mist layer, fog layer, and cloud layer. Finally, the results demonstrate that the solutions enhance QoS in the mist-assisted cloud environment concerning maximization of resource utilization and minimizing the makespan with advanced security features. Therefore, Secure-M2FBalancer is an effective method to utilize the resources efficiently by securely ensuring uninterrupted service. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Anomaly detection strategies rent statistical techniques to hit upon patterns that deviate from ordinary network conduct. traffic filtering involves figuring out and blockading malicious site visitors, even as site visitors shaping manages and controls the flow of legitimate visitors to prevent congestion and enhance community overall performance.
