In order to improve the environmental monitoring and operation management level of the power distribution room, this paper launches the construction of an integrated sensing and control system for intelligent power distribution room based on multi-sensors. In this paper, a scheme of integrated sensing and control system for intelligent power distribution room is proposed, and a multi-sensor structure is designed. Each sensor module converts the information related to gas, temperature and humidity into electrical signals or digital signals, and then the microprocessor processes and stores the data at the same time. When the detected parameters have exceeded the threshold set by the system, the upper computer displays the abnormal operation of the power distribution room. Aiming at three data fusion structures of multi-sensor parallel distributed detection fusion system, a soft threshold decision wavelet domain filtering algorithm is adopted, and this algorithm is effectively introduced into the multi-sensor parallel distributed detection data fusion structure. The results show that in the process of temperature and humidity measurement, the maximum relative error between the temperature measured value and the reference value is 2.6%, and the maximum relative error between the humidity measured value and the reference value is 0.3%, both of which are much larger than the relative error of the gas module measurement, but all meet the requirements. The grid resolution would affect the pollution concentrations and thus on the Air Quality Indices (AQI) - a generalized assessment of the air quality impact on human health. Therefore, we made a numerical experiment for evaluation of the horizontal grid resolution impact on the simulated AQI over the territory of Bulgaria. We used a set of models used worldwide - WRF - the meteorological preprocessor, CMAQ - chemical transport model, SMOKE - emission model for performing computer simulations. The NCEP Global Analysis Data with a horizontal resolution of 1 degrees x 1 degrees are used as a background meteorological data used in the study. Using the "nesting" capabilities of the WRF and CMAQ models, a resolution of 9 km was achieved for the territory of Bulgaria, by sequentially solving the task in several consecutive, nested areas. The simulations were performed for three cases for grid and emission resolutions for the period 2008-2014, creating an ensemble large and comprehensive enough, reflects the most typical atmospheric conditions with their typical recurrence. The spatial/temporal distribution of the recurrence of the different AQI categories for Bulgaria are calculated. Comparing them for the above 3 cases makes it possible to evaluate the grid resolution impact.

Modern day power systems have contributed to climatic change and reduced efficiency as a result of more utilization of conventional energy resources to match the increasing power demand. Hence grid systems that use distributed sources like wind and solar-based generating units are the recent areas of research. In last few decades, the size and power rating of wind turbines gradually increased with their performance efficiency. PMSG base wind conversion system has an advantage over classical DFIG based on compactness, heating, maintenance, and noise generation. It is very common to have abnormal conditions and faults due to high load demand, nowadays. As a result, a very high current is produced during fault and run through the power system which develops thermal and mechanical stress on power system equipment such as transformers, protecting devices etc. and causes heating. As the power system equipment is very expensive, their protection against this large current is very necessary. The fault in power system cannot eliminated but the harmful effect of fault can be lowered by limiting the current during fault period. To eliminate the issue of power system FCL is introduced which reduces fault current level within very little time before any protective device operates and increases power system stability. The proposed test model and results were designed using MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and the impact of model on fault current magnitude was verified. © 2024 IEEE.

In healthcare, safeguarding patient data integrity is paramount, necessitating robust deep learning models. This research focuses on bolstering the cyber security defenses of these models, particularly against adversarial attacks, through the application of the Localized Adversarial Feature Attack (LAFEAT) technique. Leveraging Graphics Processing Units (GPU) and the TensorFlow framework, the study explores algorithmic enhancements like the Fast Gradient Sign Method (FGSM) and Model-Agnostic Meta-Learning (MAML). These techniques perturb input data gradients or adapt model parameters, enhancing resilience against adversarial perturbations. Additionally, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), a metaheuristic optimization technique, is examined to fortify defense mechanisms further. parallel processing techniques, utilizing parallel GPU or distributed clusters, are implemented to expedite the optimization process, reducing computational burdens and enhancing scalability. Despite advancements, gaps remain in understanding how these models can be optimized for real-world healthcare applications, particularly in terms of balancing computational efficiency and robustness. The research demonstrates tangible benefits, with a significant 10% increase in success rates against adversarial attacks compared to baseline methods. Moreover, parallel processing implementation results in a 30% reduction in optimization time, improving the efficiency of cyber security defenses for deep learning models in healthcare. These numerical enhancements underscore the research's value in fortifying healthcare systems against adversarial threats, ensuring the security and integrity of patient data while addressing existing gaps in the optimization of adversarial defenses in healthcare applications. Depleting coal reserves and increasing carbon emissions have propelled the use of renewable energy sources to generate electricity. Microgrids have been recognised as one of the solutions to provide continuity of power to critical loads even during natural disasters, as they can connect or disconnect from the main grid. The presence or absence of the grid is critical to the operation of the various inverter-based resources and load management in the Microgrid. Various active and passive methods have been proposed by researchers to detect islanding. This paper focuses on detecting the islanding condition based on the filter bank approach of Short Time Fourier Transform. The voltage at the interface of distributed generation was sensed and the amplitude of a particular frequency component was estimated using the filter bank approach. The estimated amplitude was then checked against a set threshold to detect islanding. The proposed islanding detection technique was tested and was found effective on a sample Microgrid for conditions like normal operation, operation during faults and operation during turning ON and OFF loads and sources. © 2023 IEEE.

Amidst global warming and escalating extreme weather events, indoor environmental quality's impact on human health and public hygiene gains prominence. Environmental parameters exist essentially as fields, which are characterized by high dimensionality, density and complexity, and contain massive amounts of information in space. To facilitate visualization and analysis of indoor environmental field, we design and implement BuildEnVR, an immersive analysis system by virtual reality, enabling remote analysis of real-time and historical environmental field data. Grounded in user needs and cognitive psychology, three visualization modes emerge: the Virtual Sensor mode enables users to access perceptual data in real-time at any 3D coordinates in ambient space, the 4D Heatmap mode visualizes spatial variations and trends over time in environmental field data, and the Synaesthesia mode realizes the fusion display of multi-dimensional environmental field data, allowing users to quickly understand the overall condition of the indoor environment with a low cognitive load. Extensive user surveys validate BuildEnVR's intuitiveness and precision, and it is suitable for both experts and general users. © 2024 IEEE.

In this study, machine-learning technique is used to collect environmental data in real time and measures other aspects like soil moisture, temperature, water level, humidity. Water use efficiency has recently increased because to new agricultural techniques, sophisticated sensors as Micro Controller, and Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). Irrigation Fault Detection method based on XGBoost (IFD-XGBoost) Algorithm used as proposed method as robust to missing values imputing them naturally during tree splitting. The Suggested method is optimized for speed, using parallel and distributed computing to make predictions faster compare to other Regression Algorithm and avoid over fitting. Using Min-Max Normalization, features with different sizes and units can affect the efficacy of several machine learning algorithms. By warping the statistical relationship between features, removal of noisy data and error detection can reduce the machine learning models' efficiency. Lasso Regression is a linear model that combines regularization and feature selection. Additionally, less data will be kept in the centralized cloud as a result. Using the IFD-XGBoost Algorithm's ability to handle missing data, learn from past errors, and adjust parameters, our proposed approach would be the best model to implement. It outperform from other algorithm in Predictive accuracy, making it reliable for calculating water needs and forecasting weather. Investigating the implementation of several machine learning models that can offer the best real-world irrigation decision management is the main goal of this article. The comparative analysis to evaluate the IFD-XGBoost method yielded a minimum RMSE of 0.3524, MAE of 0.1832, MAPE of 4.24 with the highest accuracy of 99.2%, precision of 96.2% and AUC-ROC of 95%, indicates when combined, these metrics provide insightful data about each model's ability to anticipate future developments in irrigation systems. © 2025 IEEE.

The manual deployment of applications distributed across the cloud, fog, and edge is error-prone and complex. TOSCA is a standard for modeling the deployment of cloud applications in a vendor-neutral and technology-independent manner that is also suitable for the fog and edge continuum. However, there exist various TOSCA orchestrators with different functionalities. Thus, selecting an appropriate TOSCA orchestrator requires technical expertise since all the available orchestrators must be analyzed regarding technical, functional, legal, and organizational requirements. In this paper, we tackle this issue and present a systematic technology review of TOSCA orchestrators. Our goal is to support project managers, developers, and researchers in selecting a suitable TOSCA orchestrator. For this, we select actively maintained general-purpose open-source TOSCA orchestrators. Moreover, we introduce the TOSCA Orchestrator Classification Framework and present a selection support system.

Electric Vehicles and Photovoltaic power generation integrated to grid introduces power quality issues. Power quality issues during power integration needs improvement. Control of grid interfaced converters improves grid side power quality in integrated solutions. Power injection to the grid is controlled to get rid of power quality issues. Since the last decade, radio astronomy has started a new era: the advent of the Square Kilometer Array (SKA), preceded by its pathfinders, will produce a huge amount of data that will be hard to process with a traditional approach. This means that the current state-of-the-art software for data reduction and imaging will have to be re-modeled to face such data challenge. In order to manage such an increase in data size and computational requirements, scientists need to exploit modern high-performance computing (HPC) architectures. In particular, heterogeneous systems, based on complex combinations of CPUs, accelerators, high-speed networks and composite storage devices need to be used in an efficient and effective way. In this paper, we present an overview on Radio Imaging Code Kernels (RICK;[1];[2];[3]), a code able to perform the most computationally demanding steps of w-stacking gridder algorithm exploiting distributed parallelism and GPU acceleration. GPU offloading is possible through CUDA, HIP, and OpenMP, aiming at the largest possible usability among multiple architectures. After detailing the (multi-)GPU approach to the problem and listing all the new code implementations, we analyze its performances considering both the computational and communication workload. We will show how the full, distributed GPU offload of the code, first of its kind and crucial to deal with increasingly large interferometric data, represents not only an extremely fast and optimized approach, but also the greenest one if compared to its parallel CPU counterpart. This code, now publicly available, has been tested with a wide variety of modern interferometers and SKA pathfinders. This represents, to date, the first example of radio imaging software fully enabled to GPUs, becoming a potential state-of-the-art approach for the upcoming SKA.
