Serverless applications are based on Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) platforms where serverless functions interact with other cloud-specific services. The integration of these components is crucial for the application’s functionality and must be adequately tested. Testing criteria can help here by supporting developers in evaluating test suites and identifying missing test cases. This paper presents a framework for evaluating integration testing criteria in serverless applications by showing the processes needed for evaluating the criteria. The process defined is shown for some control and data flow criteria and applied to some serverless applications showing the feasibility of the approach. The security and privacy of Android device users are seriously threatened by the sophistication and endurance of malware. The risks associated with malware assaults on Android are larger than ever since mobile devices are being utilized for sensitive transactions and data storage more and more. This paper proposes a dynamic malware detection system that mines data from process control Blocks (PCBs) during process execution to identify malicious activity using deep learning techniques. Our method provides robust detection of various threats by examining processes at this fundamental level. It precisely monitors changes in PCB parameters for all application threads functioning at the kernel level, in contrast to user-level malware detection. Our PCB mining approach outperforms existing methods in accuracy and scalability of captured PCB records. Our testing findings revealed a high success rate, capturing over 99 percent of context transitions. Utilizing a manageable sequence size of 12 PCBs, our deep learning detection model successfully identified malicious activity at various points in the process execution, achieving an accuracy of 95.6%.

Clock Synchronization and Timestamping of Data on Acquisition at the Wellsite: Guidelines and Recommendations

Due to the nature of drilling operations, there are several companies collecting data at the rig. The data acquisition system of each com-pany applies its own timestamp to the data. Subsequent aggregation of data (for example, in a data repository) relies on synchronized timestamps applied to the different data sources to correctly collate the data. Unfortunately, synchronized timestamping is rarely achieved. In this paper, we document the different sources of errors in timestamping of data and provide guidelines to help mitigate some of these causes. There are many reasons for the unsynchronized timestamping of data from different sources. It can be as simple as clock synchronization at the rig;each data-providing or-producing company has an independent clock. It can also be due to where the timestamp is applied, for example, at the data source or on data reception. Additionally, it can be due to how the timestamp is applied-at the start of the sampling interval, the midpoint, or the end. Some of the communication methods used at the wellsite, such as mud pulse telemetry that is used to transmit downhole measurements to the surface, have a high, nonstationary latency and the actual acquisition time may vary significantly from the received time. Not correcting the reception time for the transmission delay can result in erroneous timestamping of downhole-acquired *** of derived data (data computed from two or more sources) is problematic if the data sources are *** of clocks within the data acquisition network is therefore extremely important. In this paper, the optimal operational control problem is investigated for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) pharmaceutical process with unknown dynamics model. A double-layer control strategy of TCM pharmaceutical process including control layer and optimization layer is formulated. Since the dynamics characteristics model between system outputs of sub-process and the whole economic benefits index is unknown, a RL-based setpoints setting approach is employed for the upper optimization layer to design setpoints for lower layer to obtain ideal economic benefits according to real-time operation states which feedback from the lower layer. And a cooperative distributed model predictive controller for the lower control layer is developed which controls the system outputs tracking setpoints required from the upper layer. The optimization problem of multiple processes in TCM pharmaceutical is solved. Compared with previous TCM pharmaceutical process according to experience, the proposed method may be more efficiency and achieve better performance, which would be more desirable in applications. © 2022 IEEE.

In recent years, additive manufacturing of FDM: Fused Deposition Modeling type 3D printing has been rapidly developed. However, failures in molding are inevitable, leading to loss of time and materials. In this study, we propose a motion control method that suppresses failures during the build process by using visual feedback control with an RGB camera. A camera installed near the nozzle detects the molding line and generates a new path from the coordinates obtained by the camera, thereby realizing path modification in real-time. In this paper, we conducted experiments to verify the effectiveness of the proposed path modification method and evaluated the tracking and modification effects. Moreover, we conducted a modeling experiment with visual feedback and confirmed the effectiveness of the vision-based path modification method to suppress failures beforehand. This vision-based compensation system is expected to contribute to automation and quality improvement of the additive manufacturing process and the production system.

Blockchain technology is predicted to be one of the key technologies of 6G cellular mobile communication due to its advantages of decentralization, anonymity, openness and immutability. Blockchain technology based on mobile communications can protect privacy and save costs. However, due to problems such as fixed and energy consumption of traditional blockchain scenarios, the mobile blockchain generated by mobile mining in the future may become a mainstream technology and be applied in all aspects. In mobile communication, mobile devices cannot meet the huge computing power requirements of mobile blockchain due to power supply and memory problems. Mobile users can offload mining tasks to edge computing servers while moving blockchain in a communication environment requires refactoring the system security model to be applied to collaborative processing of offloading tasks in mobile edge computing. Based on traditional blockchain and mobile edge computing, this paper first proposes hypotheses about mobile blockchain, analyzes the attack model of traditional blockchain, forms a computing power alliance, and builds a security model based on smart contracts. The security guarantee of mobile blockchain is formed from three aspects: the difficulty value of personal computing power is increased, the security based on contract accounts is improved, and the success probability of fork attack is reduced. In the process of resource allocation, auction algorithm is used to construct the price utility function to solve the problem of social welfare maximization. The simulation results verify that the security increases with the increase of sequestration funds and sequestration time, and the success rate of fork attack decreases with the increase of the number of verifiers. Compared with traditional methods, the combined optimization algorithm has certain advantages in utility sum and average return, and its security is also higher than other algorithms. Unsupervised anomaly in industry has been a concerning topic and a stepping stone for high performance industrial automation process. The vast majority of industry-oriented methods focus on learning from good samples to detect anomaly notwithstanding some specific industrial scenario requiring even less specific training and therefore a generalization for anomaly detection. The obvious use case is the fabric anomaly detection, where we have to deal with a really wide range of colors and types of textile and a stoppage of the production line for training could not be considered. In this paper, we propose an automation process for industrial fabric texture defect detection with a specificity-learning process during the domain-generalized anomaly detection. Combining the ability to generalize and the learning process offer a fast and precise anomaly detection and segmentation. The main contributions of this paper are the following: A domain-generalization texture anomaly detection method achieving the state-of-the-art performances, a fast specific training on good samples extracted by the proposed method, a self-evaluation method based on custom defect creation and an automatic detection of already seen fabric to prevent re-training. © 2023 IEEE.

Distribution edge computing networks require robust risk analysis and evaluation, especially for unknown attacks. This work addresses unknown risk analysis using the Bayesian hazard graph, proposing an algorithm tailored to the context of edge computing networks. The algorithm calculates unknown risks using a noise model and incorporates the CVSS scoring standard to create a conditional probability table. It continuously updates probability distributions with known information and real-time feedback, making it well-suited for distribution edge computing networks. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper is related to an important area of electronics and communication engineering research that deals with the processing of analog signals. The paper proposes new filters of diverse characteristics. The building blocks used for designing the circuits are based on current mode approach. Simple current mode computing blocks are employed for the purpose. The proposed topology can realize filters with different frequency responses. Thus low-pass, high-pass, all-pass, shelving and band-reject filters are realized. The realized filters can also provide differing phase responses by simple specialization of passive elements. The actual SPICE based results using CMOS technology with ±2.5 V supply voltage are included in support of the new proposed topology. The circuits are expected to be useful for wide ranging applications from low, medium to high frequency domains. © 2023 IEEE.
