The development of the Internet has made people more closely related and has put forward higher requirements for recommendation models. Most recommendation models are studied only for the long-term interests of users. In this paper, the interaction time between the user and the item is introduced as auxiliary information in the model construction. Interaction time is used to determine users’ long-term preferences and short-term preferences. In this paper, temporal features are extracted by building a convolutional gated recurrent unit with attention neural network (CNN-GRU-Attention). Firstly, for the problem of accurate feature extraction, CNN are constructed to extract higher-level and more abstract features of themselves and transform high-dimensional data into low-dimensional data; secondly, for the problem of social temporality, GRU are used to not only extract temporal information, but also effectively reduce gradient dispersion, making model convergence and training easier; finally, Graph Attention networks are used to aggregate the social relationship information of users and items respectively, which constitute the final feature representation of users and items respectively. In particular, a modified cosine similarity is used to reduce the error caused by data insensitivity when constructing the social information of the item. In this study, simulation experiments are conducted on two publicly available datasets (Epinions and Ciao), and the experimental results show that the proposed recommended model performs better than other social recommendation models, improving the evaluation metrics of MAE and RMSE by 1.06%-1.33% and 1.19%-1.37%, respectively. The effectiveness of the model innovation is proved.

The IoT devices proliferation speed has engendered a necessity for data processing and analytics capabilities as advanced as IoT networks are to take full advantage of the IoT networks capacity. The paradigm of edge computing has been developed as a very useful tool to meet this challenge by providing fast data analysis, storing data and quick response to problems at the point of data generation from network end points. In this study, we present a practical approach to iot-networks sure competence through the edge computing strategies implementation. The process starts with requirement analysis, continues with edge node selection, preprocessing of data, distributed data analytics, dynamic resource allocation, security and privacy measures, fault tolerance and lastly, it is integrated with the cloud services. Moreover, it provides performance evaluation and eventually, commissioned for the production. The specific way of systematic optimization is in place that will allow the productivity to be enhanced, the response time to be minimized, the security and privacy strengthened and the connectivity with the cloud to be scalable and that which can ensure reliable IoT deployments. In the light of our study, we argue edge node selection criteria, data preprocessing efficiency, dynamic resource allocation performance, and the effectiveness of security and privacy measures in computing environments should be the focus of the research. The results thus validate the usefulness of the suggested approach in lifting up the capacity of the IoT networks via edge computing approaches, which in turn will be tremendously instrumental in opening breeding ground for innovation of IoT synchronized applications and services.

The constant energy requirement was a crucial concern in today's smart grid era, which needs tremendous attention. New wireless networking technologies should be integrated into the grid to achieve more distributed generation and energy storage. Advancements in wireless sensor networks (WSN) and embedded systems have enabled the implementation of smart grid monitoring and automation systems at low cost. The incorporation of fifth-generation networks (5G) in a smart grid would create novel business models of "edge" and "fog" technology at the utility side, accompanying with smart-control and automation. Nonetheless, WSN's increased implementation also introduces impediments to safety, particularly relevant to confidentiality, accessibility, and safety management, creating both utilities and customers' unpredictable expenditure and catastrophe. In this paper, a comprehensive overview of the communication and computing aspects of 5G network infrastructure is provided and discussed how they can be beneficial in promoting advanced smart grid systems in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Besides, this paper discusses the smart grid, current security issues surrounding machine-to-machine information on the smart grid, and solutions available to identify and avoid cyber threats. Microcomputers and medical devices with signal transceivers that operate on a specific radio display constitute the backbone of wireless sensor networks (WS Ns) that monitor environmental conditions (temperature, pressure, light, vibration levels, location). It is widely used in WAN sensor networks because of its flexible design and low setup fees. The u200b touch network allows for the connection of up to 65,000 devices, while the Intelligent sensors on other wireless networks are used to transfer data ports and assign wireless networks. Since the price of wireless solutions has been decreasing, and their functional capabilities have been growing, they are gradually replacing wired ones in telemetry data gathering systems and long- distance detecting communication. A deep learning model was used in this investigation to prevent the sensor nodes from manipulating data. Sensor nodes include a lot of parameters and estimations. If these projected data values are altered, network performance will suffer, and the node's lifetime will be reduced. Data security became a priority when the sensor nodes were distributed. This new method is 98.82% more efficient than the previous one.

The growing reliance on digital connectivity has made Internet Service Provider (ISP) networks a critical component of modern society, yet they remain a prime target for cyber threats. In recent years, cyberattacks against ISPs have increased in scale and sophistication, posing severe risks to national security, economic stability, and user privacy. The advent of in-network computing and programmable data plane presents a paradigm shift in network security, offering the flexibility to define, modify, and optimize packet processing logic dynamically. Among these advancements, the P4 programming language plays a crucial role, allowing network operators to implement fine-grained traffic monitoring directly within network devices. By leveraging in-network computation, P4 facilitates real-time anomaly detection, making it a powerful tool for mitigating distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. However, orchestrating security functions across a distributed network of P4 switches remains a challenge, requiring an efficient and scalable deployment *** this paper, we present an open-source orchestration platform for managing and deploying P4-based security programs to enable real-time DDoS detection. Our solution leverages dynamic programmability to enhance network security. By integrating a novel queue monitoring mechanism directly into the data plane, our approach enables the collection of fine-grained network performance metrics in real-time, facilitating faster and more precise attack detection and mitigation. The proposed framework is highly scalable and adaptable, strengthening ISP networks against evolving cyber threats.

In this paper, we implement and evaluate the performance and security of Police Office Model in a simulated mobile robotic system. The model was originally proposed for computer networks, however it has its potential performance and security advantages for cyber-physical systems, which was stated in earlier works. The details of the model adaptation to a group of mobile robotic devices are discussed. In our study, we follow multi-agent approach, which allows to represent system as a set of different distributed agents. To evaluate the Police Office Model adaptation effect, we conduct an empirical study using custom software simulation environment. As performance metrics, the time to perform task assigned to the agents, and the number of tasks performed over one iteration were used. During the simulation, some agents were malicious - i.e. provided incorrect data in the agents' intercommunication. The empirical study results demonstrated that Police Office Model implementation allows to increase both metrics in all simulated mobile robotic systems scenarios. on of the documentation of their work. © 2021 ACM.

The solution of tridiagonal linear systems is used in in various fields and plays a crucial role in numerical simulations. However, there is few efficient solver for tridiagonal linear systems on the new Sunway supercomputer. Based on a three-dimensional heat conduction problem, we propose an adaptive heterogeneous tridiagonal matrix algorithm (AH-TDMA). Our major innovations include: (1) To address computational hotspots within AH-TDMA, a multi-level parallel approach involving MPI+Athread has been adopted. (2) An adaptive data partitioning scheme has been set up to achieve load balance. (3) Employing direct memory access and establishing shared space between registers and main memory, instead of employing discrete memory access, is done to enhance memory access efficiency. (4) The optimization of the loop structure has been made in adjusting the sequencing of the dual-layered loops to reduce communication overhead. The experimental results show that, with one core group, the AH-TDMA achieves a speedup of 99.6 times for hotspot and total time speedup up to 59.4 times compared to the Parallel and Scalable Library for Tridiagonal Matrix Algorithm (PaScal TDMA). The AH-TDMA is scalable up to 2048 core groups, with a parallel efficiency of 69.2%.

Vehicular Ad hoc networks (VANETs), a subcategory of Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), is a promising approach that is now evolving, gaining attention and momentum. VANET consists of highly mobile nodes and roadside infrastructure to communicate essential information across a network, such as collisions, traffic congestion, and vehicular destinations. Due to its frequent vehicle movement, time-critical response and hybrid architecture, it comes with a plethora of network security and privacy issues ranging from the potential of malicious attacks to the availability of essential information across the network and its overall integrity. There is much research devoted to enabling secure communication in VANETs for the best Intelligent Transport System (ITS) experience. In this paper, we address and discuss the characteristics and security issues including the existing VANETs attacks and preventive approaches to each security attack emphasising the main features and the major drawbacks. The review of these different countermeasures shows their strengths and weaknesses and how they can be implemented independently or in a hybrid model best suited to the situation.

The limitations of storage and computation capabilities in IoT devices raise challenges to design scalable protocols for different network sizes and maintain the minimum network delay. The nature of IoT makes existing routing protocols not suitable for IoT. As a result, IETF introduced IPv6 routing protocol over low-power and lossy networks. Unfortunately, there is no official implementation of security mechanisms that are defined as standard. This gap led to the appearance of many routing attacks utilizing the absence of RPL security mechanisms. In this article, we propose novel taxonomy to categorize RPL attacks based on the attack's mechanism. This taxonomy considers all RPL attacks whether inherited from WSN or resulted from exploiting RPL features. The taxonomy is evaluated to ensure usefulness and applicability. © 2021 ACM.
