Today’s world is changing rapidly because of technological developments. Among the astonishing evolution, AIoT has become a new addition to machinery growth. This term is a compound of another two dominant infrastructures: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). AIoT intends to invent more efficient and improved IoT operations or services with enhanced data management and analysis capabilities. AI deals with machines, especially computer systems fields like natural language processing, speech recognition, etc. IoT is a system where interrelated devices and machines communicate and transfer data with different sensors without human intervention. AIoT can be more beneficial for both types of technology, where a vast amount of data obtained from IoT devices, will be handled by some powerful AI algorithms. When it needs to handle a lot of data, essential and efficient data processing is required to use the information gathered from IoT devices. Without integrating AI, IoT devices can't aid efficient services. Besides, AIoT is utilized to handle efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and fraud detection in transactions. This paper aims to show the potentiality of AIoT, its recent applications and benefits, and the probable future of this technology.

Indoor target tracking presents significant challenges across various fields such as security surveillance, industrial automation, and healthcare. This research paper outlines the design and implementation of a reliable direction monitoring system aimed at achieving accurate indoor target tracking using IoT and wireless sensor networks. By utilizing advanced sensor technologies and sophisticated data processing algorithms, the proposed system enables real-time monitoring and precise localization of targets within indoor spaces. The combination of IoT devices and wireless sensor networks facilitates effective data collection, analysis, and visualization, thereby improving the overall performance of the monitoring system. The results indicate that the developed system is effective in accurately tracking and localizing targets, fulfilling the essential requirement for efficient indoor direction monitoring solutions. This study explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and sensor fusion in wearable technology for early cardiac emergency detection and improved non-invasive cardiac diagnostics. Developed as part of a doctoral thesis within the Maia project in collaboration with Fraunhofer IZM and Charité Berlin, the system combines bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) with complementary sensor technologies, enabling synchronous monitoring of over 110 cardiac parameters at high data rates. Clinically relevant parameters were selected with input from Charité clinicians, ensuring precision. The system employs biocompatible silicone-based sensors and optimized semi-dry textile electrodes embedded in a smart textile vest, allowing continuous, non-invasive cardiac monitoring. By integrating BIS with electrocardiography (ECG), seismocardiography (SCG), phonocardiography (PCG), and photoplethysmography (PPG), this comprehensive system supports in-depth cardiac health assessment. Advanced deep learning and statistical machine learning algorithms enhance diagnostic accuracy, with models trained on clinical and patient-specific data, showing high sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy in detecting cardiovascular conditions. Validation with data from the PhysioNet database underpins this foundational design and development study.

Wireless Medical sensor (WMSN) networks have become a great technology to allow for the best kind of applications. Recent developments at WMSN have helped to create a comprehensive health monitoring concept in both home and hospital care settings. Current technological advances in sensors, integrated dynamic circuits, and wireless connectivity have allowed the event of smaller, heavier, less expensive, and clever body sensors. These modules are able to hear, process, and communicate with one or more important signals. In addition, they will be used on local wireless networks (WPANs) or wireless nerve networks (WBSNs) to monitor health. Many studies are being conducted and/or ongoing to develop flexible, reliable, secure, realistic, and effective WBSNs for health applications. The importance of wireless nerve networks in health surveillance is constantly evolving, due to the growing need for safety and security in cities. The rapid development of wireless technology has significantly aided the advancement of monitoring systems that have been developed through the combination of wireless sensors. In this study, a delay-aware, fuzzy-based, dependable routing method for underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) is presented. The emergence of micro-electro-mechanism systems (MEMS) and wireless communication technologies has led to the increasing use of UWSNs in a range of applications, including military observation and natural disaster monitoring. Because of the energy hole phenomena, energy conservation in UWSNs is a major difficulty, especially in the vicinity of static sink nodes. To tackle this issue, the suggested plan incorporates fuzzy logic, enabling adaptable reasoning and managing the uncertainties present in submerged situations. Modules for fuzzification, fuzzy rule creation, defuzzification, and inference make up the fuzzy logic system. The scheme’s capacity to balance energy consumption and mitigate delays is proved through simulations, which ultimately improves the overall dependability of UWSNs. As compared to current approaches, the results show better performance, indicating fuzzy logic’s promise for route optimization in underwater situations.

The challenging tasks of the precision agriculture require an extended study of novel equipment and comprehensive selection of particular sensors and sensor systems. Drones are powered by batteries which makes them sensitive in terms of energy consumption issues. A delicate balance must be ensured between functionality, price, size, weight and power supply of the device and its pickup equipment. In this regard they are designed and manufactured for specific applications. This study focuses on sensors and sensor systems used in the drone supplementary equipment for the purposes of the precision agriculture and remote monitoring systems, in particular. These are mainly sensors for distance and position, sensors for flight speed and image sensors.

This paper explores a high-precision temperature measurement system for ship engines utilizing thermocouple sensors, addressing deficiencies in precision and response speed present in current technologies. By integrating an optimized sensor arrangement with advanced data processing algorithms, this system delivers stable and accurate temperature monitoring in extreme conditions. The study employs the Omega KMQSS-125U-12 type K thermocouple, paired with the AD8495 precision amplifier and a high-accuracy ADC for data collection and signal conditioning. Results indicate that the system significantly enhances the accuracy and timeliness of temperature monitoring, thereby improving data reliability and stability. Moreover, the system's design incorporates scalability and safety considerations, and utilizes ECharts for data visualization, enhancing user interaction and operational convenience. The development of this technology not only advances technical progress in the field of marine engineering but also provides valuable insights for similar applications.

As augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) technology matures, a method is desired to represent real-world persons visually and aurally in a virtual scene with high fidelity to craft an immersive and realistic user experience. Current technologies leverage camera and depth sensors to render visual representations of subjects through avatars, and microphone arrays are employed to localize and separate high-quality subject audio through beamforming. However, challenges remain in both realms. In the visual domain, avatars can only map key features (e.g., pose, expression) to a predetermined model, rendering them incapable of capturing the subjects' full details. Alternatively, high-resolution point clouds can be utilized to represent human subjects. However, such three-dimensional data is computationally expensive to process. In the realm of audio, sound source separation requires prior knowledge of the subjects' locations. However, it may take unacceptably long for sound source localization algorithms to provide this knowledge, which can still be error-prone, especially with moving objects. These challenges make it difficult for AR systems to produce real-time, high-fidelity representations of human subjects for applications such as AR/VR conferencing that mandate negligible system latency. We present Acuity, a real-time system capable of creating high-fidelity representations of human subjects in a virtual scene both visually and aurally. Acuity isolates subjects from high-resolution input point clouds. It reduces the processing overhead by performing background subtraction at a coarse resolution, then applying the detected bounding boxes to fine-grained point clouds. Meanwhile, Acuity leverages an audiovisual sensor fusion approach to expedite sound source separation. The estimated object location in the visual domain guides the acoustic pipeline to isolate the subjects' voices without running sound source localization. In order to effectively screen patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, novel strategies have been required on a global scale. Smart data and the Internet of Things (IoT) have proven to be important in this context. These technologies provide alternatives to traditional diagnostic tests, increase patient satisfaction, and decrease hospital readmissions. By integrating IoT sensor technologies with intelligent materials, they demonstrate analytical capabilities that facilitate the timely diagnosis of COVID-19 symptoms. This study evaluates the feasibility of IoT connectivity in all areas, photosensitive, and electrically sensitive devices for assisting COVID-19 patients effectively by integrating biosensors to monitor symptoms such as fever and respiratory difficulties. By incorporating COVID-19 diagnostics, intelligent materials, biosensors, and viral detection examples, the study demonstrates how IoT frameworks can be implemented in intelligent healthcare.
