The Internet of Things (IoT) effectively facilitates interaction between individuals and devices in contemporary society. The IoT industry is experiencing substantial growth annually, attributed to many applications, from miniature sensors to large-scale industrial equipment. The proliferation of billions of connected devices creates distinctive business opportunities, while IoT applications contribute to economic enhancement. The IoT market is rapidly growing; yet, it encounters several challenges, including security issues, heterogeneity, and absence of defined protocols, communication topology, and bandwidth (BW) selection. This paper aims to enhance the comprehension of providing Internet of Things devices with stable bandwidth to increase communication. This article primarily contributes an elucidation of mechanisms associated with optimized dynamic bandwidth selection, prevalent protocols, and network topologies.

In this audit, Wearable Technology applications in medical services and Deep Learning application papers that utilization organized information, and sign and imaging modalities from cardiology are concentrated exhaustively. The classical logarithmic active pixel sensor is susceptible to fixed pattern noise, giving rise to dark signal non-uniformity. In this work, this long-standing issue is resolved by introducing a reference pixel sub-sensor adjacent to an active working sub-sensor with the same design. The differential signal of these two sub-sensors will be used as output signal and thus fixed pattern noise is reduced. Such a randomly-accessible active pixel sensor also exhibits an adjustable sensitivity from 0.3 A/W to 105 A/W in the visible light spectrum and a wide dynamic range of over 120 dB, making it functionally similar to the photoreceptor of the human retina. © 2021 IEEE.

The aim of this research is to undertake a systematic review of the literature on cloud-based Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) in healthcare, to summarise the examined contexts and research focuses, to identify gaps in the literature, and to recommend new directions for future research. The authors searched electronic databases such as Scopus, Elsevier, ACM library, IEEE Xplore, Emerald, and ScienceDirect for articles relating to (IoMT) and cloud technologies, as well as did manual journal searches in Google Scholar, PMC and ResearchGate. A total of 442 papers were examined using a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. A systematic mapping study was undertaken as part of the qualitative investigation. The study identified and classified contemporary IoMT devices and applications used in healthcare that have evolved over time, including remote monitoring apps, diagnostic tool apps, personal wellness and healthy living apps, consolidated healthcare apps, medication adherence apps, appointment scheduling and reminder apps, and various types of critical decision-making systems applications. Additionally, potential themes for future study were identified, including the impact of cloud-based IoMT devices and the obstacles associated with deploying IoMT in healthcare. The review focuses on how patients and clinicians apply IoMT. Further study may want to examine the adoption, effectiveness, and usability of cloud based IoMT in healthcare from the perspective of various stakeholders, such as families, caregivers, healthcare institutions, researchers, policy actors, payors, and buyers. © 2022 ACM.

The exponential growth of the world's population along with the scarcity of medical personnel pose several challenges towards medical requirements in many peripheral areas to decrease the mortality rate and lessen the severity of chronic diseases. IoMT a category of IoT promotes significant inroads in the field of telemedicine to offer health services at reduced healthcare costs, improved quality of service and utilization of resources in an efficient manner. In IoMT, emerging technologies like wearable technology, block chain technology, machine-based intelligence, and sensor miniaturization have the capability to excel in digital healthcare. IoMT deployed with intelligence techniques paves the way to shift the focus from single prescriptive to preventive, predictive, diagnostic and monitoring measures to get diagnosed in a short span of time. Real-time IoMT applications confront significant problems in terms of latency, standardization, size, and power usage. The objectives of the suggested architecture were to comprehend state-of-the-art IoMT technology and to tackle key issues. In this paper, Section 1 focuses on explaining the significance and benefits of IoMT in the field of health care. Section 2 presents the multi-layer architecture and functions of each layer. Furthermore, Section 3 highlights the classification of IoMT devices within the medical environment. Additionally, section 4 provides insights on enabling technologies that have been deployed with IoMT to provide sustainable solutions across the globe. Section 5 elaborates on some of the remarkable challenges faced by IoMT devices in the current scenario. © 2022 IEEE.

Internet of Things (IoT) have huge applications for the daily life improvement purpose. It also have wide applications on the medical field. There are many smart technologies introduced for the paralysed patients. As paralysis condition occurs because of loss of function of the muscle in the body parts. It can have the affect anytime resulting in not feeling any pain in the affected areas. There has been many technological and therapeutic ways to treat this condition. The objective of the work is to develop a smart medical devices for paralytic patients which can provide nursing care by using basic Healthcare monitoring system and should be available and affordable to common patients. A technology has been proposed that enables paralysed individuals to communicate their requirements through simple gestures in order to alleviate some of their problems. Through the integration of numerous sensors and devices, the system continuously gathers health data, giving users real-time insights into their vital signs and everyday demands. The proposed gadget can be attached with the patient cloth or it is also possible to attach with the finger of the patient. Finally the health condition will display on the LCD and simultaneously the data will get in smart phone through sms.

In recent years, body-worn RFID and NFC (near field communication) devices have become one of the principal technologies concurring to the rise of healthcare internet of thing (H-IoT) systems. Similarly, points of care (PoCs) moved increasingly closer to patients to reduce the costs while supporting precision medicine and improving chronic illness management, thanks to timely and frequent feedback from the patients themselves. A typical PoC involves medical sensing devices capable of sampling human health, personal equipment with communications and computing capabilities (smartphone or tablet) and a secure software environment for data transmission to medical centers. Hybrid platforms simultaneously employing NFC and ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID could be successfully developed for the first sensing layer. An application example of the proposed hybrid system for the monitoring of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) survivors details how the combined use of NFC and UHF-RFID in the same PoC can support the multifaceted need of AMI survivors while protecting the sensitive data on the patient's health.

Underwater Wireless sensor Networks (UWSNs) are essential for gathering data in diverse marine applications, including oceanographic research, environmental monitoring, and marine resource management. However, maintaining under-water sensors is challenging due to the harsh and inaccessible environment. This paper proposes a novel conceptual framework for predictive maintenance of UWSNs, leveraging the strengths of Named Data Networking (NDN) for data management and machine learning for sensor fault prediction. The framework integrates these technologies to enhance sensor network reliability and lifespan while minimizing maintenance costs. We discuss the design principles, key components, and potential benefits and challenges of this framework, along with a detailed analysis of its potential benefits and challenges. Additionally, we explore specific case studies to illustrate the applicability of the framework to real-world scenarios. This research highlights the potential of integrating NDN and AI for proactive maintenance in UWSNs, paving the way for future implementation and validation in real-world scenarios.

Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) programs play a critical role in civil engineering, particularly for evaluating safety conditions and forecasting the strength of large structures such as bridges. Therefore, employing low-cost sensors with implementing different techniques to improve their accuracy compared to high-cost accurate sensors has attracted much attention for structural assessments. In fact, with adequate code and the proper mode to utilize their features and potentials, there is a probability of acquiring valuable data from these low-cost sensors, which can provide helpful insight for the SHM systems. Hence, this study proposes the use of a low-cost circuit for angular measurements based on the fusion of an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a magnetometer sensor with an Arduino board. In this study, firstly, an introduction through Arduino due and the used sensor is presented. Then angular data acquisition problems, as well as their respective solutions, are presented. © 2022 the Author(s).
