Localized Surface plasmon-based sensors offer distinct advantages over traditional Surface Plasmon resonance-based sensors due to their enhanced sensitivity. Silver-TiO2 is chosen as the material composition for the LSPR-based sensor due to its higher precision, high chemical stability, low cost, and environmental friendliness which is ideal for optical sensing applications. By varying the size, metal filling fraction, dielectric constant, and using blood as the sensing medium, the optical properties of an LSPR-based Silver-TiO2 sensor are determined using Maxwell Garnett’s Theory and the Extinction Coefficient. Based on this, the peak of the extinction coefficient for a diabetic blood sample was found to be $1.7164 \times 10^{-16}$. Based on the data collected, the study reveals that the LSPR-based Silver-TiO2 sensor is effective for detection of sugar concentration in human blood.

Smart home systems aim to provide more accessible and easier services such as security management, lighting, savings, and daily life needs by using wireless communication standards and tools. This study aims to propose a low-cost and open-sourced smart home automation system using the Internet of Things architecture by integrating motion, gas, and heat sensors into Arduino Mega and mobile applications. During the system design process, we preferred sensors that adopt low energy consumption features and allow real-time data to be transferred from residences to homeowners. Obtained raw data from the home environment through sensors is visualized with the IoT analytics function in the system and delivered to the homeowner in the form of a report via the mobile application. After programming essential functions and modelling prototypes, we conducted feasibility techniques using simulation and peer-review performance tests. The test results show that smart home automation systems can be developed using open-sourced sensors and integrated into IoT Analytics platforms and mobile applications. We believe that the proposed system will positively contribute to their literature in the context of integrating IoT analytics and mobile application support and make homeowners' control of their residences easier.

The Internet of Bio-Nano Things (IoBNT) is an innovative field of research located at the intersection of nanotechnology, biotechnology and information and communication technologies. It aims to enable the seamless integration of biological and nanoscale systems into the Internet in order to develop advanced biomedical applications, environmental monitoring sensors and energy-efficient networks. At the core of IoBNT are biocompatible nanodevices that can function in living organisms to monitor or modify specific biological processes in real time. These devices communicate with each other and with the Internet to collect, process and transmit data, opening up entirely new possibilities for health monitoring, disease control, environmental protection and many other areas. By merging biology and nanotechnology, IoBNT promises to push the boundaries of what is technically possible while improving the efficiency and sustainability of technological solutions.

In this article, a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) can provide a stronger, more focused signal, improved signal quality, and increased data rates. However, designing MIMO antennas poses challenges such as narrower beam width, alignment issues, and high isolation. This proposed system is a dual-band microstrip patch antenna that has conductive material mounted on a dielectric substrate, such as FR-4. The single element has a dimension of $32 \times 22 \mathrm{~mm}^{2}$, and the MIMO structure is created by duplicating the single element with a compact size of $54 \times 54 \mathbf{~ m m}^{2}$. It is useful for various applications like wireless sensor networks, WLAN, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks. It can overcome these challenges as it provides two independent and dedicated networks, allowing more flexibility, bandwidth, and support for various wireless applications. The ports are aligned orthogonally, which increases isolation.

In the context of usage of wireless technologies for various applications, the need for efficient and sustainable power sources for sensory devices becomes a significant challenge. Traditional power sources like batteries or wired cables are limited by their lifespan. Radio Frequency Energy Harvesting (RFEH) is identified as a suitable solution to enhance the efficiency of services by extending the lifespan of sensor nodes integrated into urban environments. The project aims to design a novel compact rectangular microstrip patch antenna using RFEH techniques in sub 6 GHz frequency band i.e. 2.45 GHz for 5G use cases using ADS software. The resultant antenna has a gain of 6.02dBi. A full wave bridge rectifier along with impedance matching circuitry has been designed. The system converts AC input of 1.8V to DC output of 6.8V which results in 48% conversion efficiency.

The recognition of human activity is significant in such domains as smart environments, security, and health. A novel approach to IoT-based women's safety monitoring at educational campuses using a hybrid deep learning model that combines CNNs and LSTMs has been proposed in this study. Using wearable inertial sensors, the system classifies six predetermined activities - walking, walking upstairs, walking downstairs, sitting, standing, and laying. The Human Activity Recognition dataset preprocessed with noise filtering and feature extraction was utilized in training and testing. Spatial features are extracted from CNNs while the LSTMs capture temporal dependencies, giving a 95.38% accuracy that is augmented with F1-score, precision, and recall exceeding 95%. This approach offers a robust, scalable safety solution for monitoring of activities that would be accomplished in real- world educational settings.

Wireless sensor networks, also known as WSN s, are an essential component for a wide variety of applications, particularly those in which a sizeable number of nodes are scattered all over the region being watched. Evaluation of the accuracy and quality of each connection is necessary for WSN s. When the mapping models between the physical layer and link quality characteristics are used, it is possible to forecast the outcomes, which comes with the advantages of greater vigilance and lower overhead. Traditional link quality estimator parameters, on the other hand, are unable to capitalize on connection quality information and instead deliver inconsistent routing. Simultaneously, the shortest data packet routing action is considered the most energy utilization, and it creates inconsistent routing. QoS-based Efficient Link and Consistent Routing (QLCR) in WSN are proposed to solve these issues. Here, the node Received Signal Strength Indication, Consistency Achievement, Forecasted Consistency, Communication Rate, and Left-over Energy parameters are used to measure the prediction of the link QoS factor. The forward nodes are chosen from the nodes with the greatest QF score. A thorough evaluation of the link's quality may guarantee that data will be sent, improve network performance, and extend the lifespan of the network. The Wireless sensor Network, often known as WSN, is an important component for a variety of applications in which a sizeable number of nodes are spread out throughout the region being monitored.

To increase the multiplexing capability of code-division multiplexing (CDM) applied in optical sensor networks, a system based code evaluation is required. This contribution analyses evaluation criteria for sequences applied in CDM systems. A comparison of an optical sensor application and a single user data transmission system is presented. While a detection signal-to-noise ratio and the bit error rate are used to evaluate data transmission systems, the proposed optical sensor application uses a modified signal-to-multiuser-interference ratio (mSMUI). The main difference exists in the handling of interference. In contrary to data transmission, the mSMUI requires a separation of positive and negative interferences. Both applications are simulated for different binary sequences. While the Legendre sequence with a length of 503 chips achieves the over all best results for the optical sensor application, the single user data transmission simulation shows no significant sequence influence.

Binary Sparse Matrix storage is one of the critical problems in embedded system applications. Storing these matrices in the memory efficiently is important. Magnitude of increase in matrix size also has significant impact on the memory requirement. Sometimes, it might not be possible to accommodate the data due to memory constraints. In this work, we have analyzed some of state-of-the-art methods deployed for storing these matrices in the system on-chip memory and we have demonstrated the shortcomings of each. Thus, we propose a modified version of run length encoding which scales aptly with matrix size and sparsity density of the binary sparse matrix. Through simulations we have shown that the proposed method performs better than many state-of-the-art algorithms.
