This paper proposes a decentralized algorithm for organizing an ad-hoc sensor network into clusters with directional antennas. The proposed autonomous clustering scheme aims to reduce the sensing redundancy and maintain sufficient sensing coverage and network connectivity in sensor networks. With directional antennas, random waiting timers, and local criterions, cluster performance may be substantially improved and sensing redundancy and communication interference can be drastically suppressed. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves connected coverage and provides efficient network topology management.

The paper discusses two forwarding strategies in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) involving the residual energy of nodes and provides the corresponding distributed algorithms;the routing is achieved without additional routing messages. To reduce excessive broadcasts at the setup phase we consider the impact of the delay time. Simulation results are obtained using our sensor network simulator (SNF).

Reliable communication is crucial for successful deployment of a wireless sensor network. Many environmental factors can affect the performance of radio links, and the deployment of a network without real-time information about link qualities can be a demanding task. This paper describes the CiNetView application that is intended to support the deployment and monitoring of wireless sensor network. CiNetView is based on diagnostic information collected by sensor nodes, and it allows the user to see a graphical presentation of the network topology and to monitor the network diagnostic information in real time.

sensor networks are becoming one of the most used technologies in our lives. Although there are several surveys about sensor networks, almost all of them focus on theoretical basis with little simulations. Some of the studies only explain where these kinds of networks can be useful, without details on how can they be applied. This paper classifies the applications of wireless sensor networks and describes real implementations. The target is to complement the existing surveys, by presenting details on real implementations in order to understand how these networks run, and how they are designed, maintained and operated.

IoT is a pivotal factor among rapidly advancing technologies. Through the utilisation of this technology, we can execute all tasks without the need for human interaction. By utilising this method, we can ascertain the water's quality, a crucial factor for the optimal growth of fish. Fisheries aquaculture is a crucial source of sustenance, nourishment, income, and livelihood for countless individuals worldwide. Financing and operational expenses associated with the modernization of fishponds. In the present era, given the essentiality of water for the survival of fish, fish farmers often encounter challenges pertaining to the quality of water. Several factors, including the pH level of the water, temperature, oxygen content, hardness, and salinity, can influence the situation. Failure to promptly assess the water quality might lead to significant financial losses for the farmer. The implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) technology can help overcome many challenges with the assistance of a state-of-the-art water tracking system. This proposed system utilises an innovative way to monitor water quality by employing an Arduino-based Controller board and IoT Technology. The IoT system comprises sensors for Temperature, Turbidity, pH, and Conductivity, which assess crucial parameters of water quality such as temperature, turbidity, pH, and conductivity. Additionally, it includes a compact computer board that analyses the data and transmits visual signals to the fish farming management. Regularly screening and comparing water quality measures is typically advised. The collected data will be transmitted to the Node MCU and presented on the farmer's mobile device via the Blynk server. Consequently, the farmer no longer wants to hire workers.

When discussing powering wireless sensor network nodes, there are a few major energy consumers: communications, microcontroller and the sensor. We propose a wireless sensor network platform architecture minimizing the energy consumption of sensing. The architecture proposed herein is based on a reactive approach to sensing. A number of possible hardware approaches are evaluated and compared. This comparison indicates that analog storage between the sensing element and the sensor electronics can be a feasible method for reducing the energy consumption of the system.

This review paper explores the pivotal role of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, particularly through the deployment of smart meters, in addressing the complex challenge of balancing supply and demand within power grids. By collecting and analyzing real-time data on power usage, smart meters provide invaluable insights that enable grid operators to make informed decisions and optimize grid *** paper delves into the various applications of IoT and smart meters in grid management, including demand response programs, peak load forecasting, energy efficiency optimization, and integration of renewable energy sources. It discusses the technical aspects of IoT implementation, such as communication protocols, data analytics and deploying ML models to meet the power demands. This study outlines the importance of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and how it goes hand in hand with IoT in monitoring, tracking, and sensing various environmental activities [1]. The proposed model incorporates Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithms to predict power demand accurately which enables efficient power management. Furthermore, the paper evaluates the benefits and challenges associated with the adoption of IoT and smart meters in power grids, highlighting the potential for improved grid reliability, efficiency, optimization, and ***, the objective of this review is to provide an in-depth overview of how IoT and AI-based smart meter technologies optimize power usage, improves grid reliability and promotes energy sustainability. This paper also evaluates the benefits and challenges associated with the adoption of IoT and smart meters in power grids, highlighting the potential for improved grid reliability, efficiency, optimization, and sustainability.

UWSNs, already, have diverse marine applications which include environmental monitoring, Coastal oil exploration, and disaster prevention, among others. But more, the nature of underwater environment has its own challenges like high latency, low bandwidth, and energy constraint (energy starvation) which makes us to investigate routes in manner that ensures reliable as well as energy efficient data collection. Thus, we have presented an Efficient Adjustable Routing Path for Data Collection (EARP-DC), it is designed to enhance data dissemination among UWSNs. To take dynamic network conditions into account our EARP-DC algorithm is used so to suit the real-time routing paths. It aims at minimizing the network delay and energy consumption while maximizing packet delivery ratio, throughput coupled with lower data packet loss. EARP-DC uses a multimeric attribute choice method to find the best route, considering various performance parameters. It eventually enhances the overall performance of the network. Extensive simulations show that EARP-DC outperforms existing routing protocols in UWSNs. Results show a significant reduction in network delay and energy use as well as increased packet delivery ratio and throughput. In addition, the algorithm has more efficient data packet loss rates which mean that data transmission underwater can still be reliable even when conditions are difficult. This paper puts special emphasis on while another research. The future of UWSN data collection will be efficiency and dependability. By using such networks need less energy and are more robust.

Interest in context awareness services is gaining ground in both academic and industrial communities. Most context information is provided by sensors. However, there is always a delay between the time of the data collection and the time of the usage of the information. In this paper, we developed a generic decay model for sensor information. The model contains an information-specific function and several parameters. In the evaluation, we identified the function and parameters for user location information and the model describes the decay process very well. With this model, we can provide applications with the quality of information which is a necessary requirement of usage of sensor information.

Wearable deep-tissue imaging technologies promise a paradigm shift to preventive, proactive, and accessible health care. Real-time and long-term imaging offers unprecedented insights into one's body conditions, enabling constant monitoring of high-risk patients (e.g., cardiovascular [1] and musculoskeletal [2]), tracking fetal development [3], and overseeing recovery after surgeries. These devices also make medical imaging more accessible and affordable in low-income countries. Ultrasound and photoacoustic (PA) imaging modalities are well suited for such applications because of their high resolution for imaging deep tissue and fewer safety concerns. Compared to the well-known ultrasound, emerging PA technology [4], [5] employs optical excitation and ultrasonic readout, governed by PA effects, to achieve higher molecular contrast and sensitivity based on the agents' optical absorption properties while offering similar depth and resolution. Thus, this work targets a compact and low-power PA RX with data compression as a key enabler of the envisioned wireless wearable PA imager. It is worth noting that PA and ultrasound RX share similar sensor arrays and readout circuits, except that the amplitude of received PA signals is roughly ten times smaller than that of ultrasound due to an extra stage of energy transduction and light exposure limits. Thus, we discuss and compare ultrasound and PA RX designs together in this paper.
