As communication era comes in reality, SOC(System On Chip) in microelectronics is not only an emerging issue for multiple applications, but the combination of sensor and the SOC, iMEMS, out of high density and low power micromachining technologies in semiconductor world[1] has attracted many researchers for several years. For practical purpose, circular-shape micro-cavity technology facilitates multiple sensors on very small chip size possibility, makes device easier to package than conventional sensor like pressure sensor and also diaphragm can be any shape, defining the diaphragm photolithographically and also provides very high over-pressure capability. This paper demonstrates the cross-functional results for stress analyses(targeting 5 mu m deflection and 100MPa stress as maximum at various applicable pressure ranges), for finding permissible diaphragm dimension by output sensitivity, and piezoresistive sensor theory from two-type SOI(Silicon-On-Insulator) structures. Those results are also compared with the ones of circular-shape Bulk-Si based sensor. It is observed that the double SOI structure shows the most feasible deflection and small stress at various ambient pressure. The SOI micro-cavity formed the sensors is promising to integrate with calibration, gain stage and controller unit plus high current/high voltage CMOS drivers onto monolithic chip.

Embedded Internet of Things (IoT) devices are deployed in the functioning of a number of applications such as industrial control, building automation, and the smart grid. The lack of robustness of IoT devices has however rendered such systems vulnerable to a number of remote cyber-attacks. Remote attestation is a security mechanism which enables to remotely verify the integrity of the software running on IoT devices. Similarly, collective remote attestation protocols are designed to efficiently verify the integrity of a group of devices. Existing collective attestation protocols do not provide an efficient and secure mechanism to detect compromised devices. In particular, it is not possible to efficiently trace the origin of an erroneous attestation response back to the concerned node. In this paper, we introduce CoRA, a highly scalable collective attestation protocol, which leverages the aggregating property of the underlying cryptographic scheme during the attestation process. CoRA is the first collective attestation protocol to also provide sequential detection, where the identity of the compromised node is revealed. We provide rigorous security proofs for our protocol and its underlying cryptographic primitive, and demonstrate its efficiency in highly scalable networks.

Recent advances in Wireless sensors Network (WSN) technology have made possible the manufacturing of tiny low-cost, low-power sensors with wireless multi-hop communication and sensing capabilities. Energy conservation for WSNs is a primary objective that needs to be addressed at all layers of the networking protocol stack. In many applications latency is another crucial factor to be addressed. However this must be done in the context of the energy constraints imposed by the network. In this paper we present an experimental evaluation of two node scheduling regimes within MERLIN (Mac Energy efficient, Routing and Localization INtegrated), an energy-efficient low-latency integrated protocol for WSNs. In particular we contrast the X and V scheduling family schemes with respect to the following properties: network setup time, network lifetime and message latency. We conduct our experiments within the OmNet++ simulator.
