Present research is focusing on applications used for Industrial safety using the application of Internet of Things (IoT). With the growing popularity of IoT wireless technologies, 5G technology has emerged as a particularly difficult and exciting research field. With the advent of 5G, this study examines the issues and possibilities that a wide range of communication firms will face. The IoT and the new and evolving technologies that enable it are thoroughly covered in this paper. Low-power networks serve a wider geographic area, and safety issues are taken into account while determining control mechanisms. Fire and spark activity detection and categorization have been performed using an IoT system in this study. Convolution Neural Network (CNN) based deep learning is being used in this research process. The evaluation metrics chosen are Precision, Accuracy and Recall value. A camera is a kind of sensing equipment that captures conventional photos as well as detecting fire and embers. © 2023 The authors and IOS Press.

In this paper we present a microphone sensor for aerospace applications. The novel microphones can be integrated into large arrays for measuring unsteady pressure fluctuations underneath the turbulent boundary layer (TBL), which can be applied to predict the cabin noise excitation. The microphone array has a high spatial resolution due to the small distance between its microphone elements. The microphone sensor is featuring a very thin membrane created by a special technology combining SOI wafer bonding and thinning and TSV (Through Silicon Vias) for contacting from the backside. The membrane thickness is about 4 μm. The membrane has a small hole in the middle (diameter about 7μm drilled by using laser technique. The TSVs are etched in the carrier wafer or interposer by using a KOH or DRIE/BOSCH process. © 2022 IEEE.

One of the main concerns in nuclear security is the prevention of terroristic activities. One defense line of such attacks is the use of radiation sensor networks that may identify the transport of nuclear materials that may be potential threats. The problem of deploying a radiation sensor is highly challenging with the sensor placement being at the heart of it. In this paper, we employ the use of reinforcement learning in identifying the best positions of a limited number of gamma ray radiation sensors aiming at maximizing the detection probability of a radioactive source. The research carried in this work integrates the use of radiation physics simulations using the Geant4 of a specific area within the campus of University of Texas at San Antonio. The simulated radioactivity of source that may be of potential is used as an input to the reinforcement learning algorithm to identify the best spots for placing our radiation sensors. © 2022 IEEE.

The agricultural industry is essential to the world's food production, and it is critical to use cutting-edge technologies to increase crop productivity. We provide a revolutionary Crop Recommendation System (CRS) that utilizes cutting-edge technology to maximize crop output in response to the pressing need for improvement. Our study incorporates real-time monitoring of soil conditions, made possible by a custom hardware configuration that includes sensors for temperature, humidity, phosphorus, potassium, nitrogen, and pH measurements. First, we assembled a large dataset with 22 kinds of agricultural production components. Using many machine learning models, such as ensemble methods and baseline classifiers, we were able to classify crops with an astounding 99 % accuracy rate. With the application of these insights, the CRS provides customized recommendations through an easy-to-use user interface for appropriate crops under particular climatic conditions. Our system's innovative combination of hardware sensing capabilities and AI-driven decision-making promises to revolutionize crop management practices, offering actionable insights for agricultural stakeholders. Our system's novel integration of AI-driven decision-making and hardware sensing capabilities promises to transform crop management techniques and provide agricultural stakeholders with useful insights. © 2024 IEEE.

Manufacturer of aircraft and engines have proposed the More Modern Airplane and More Modern Engine idea to lessen the dependency lowering fuel costs. Unfortunately, these ideas have created a need for higher grid current, which puts good dielectric systems under pressure. Under more demanding circumstances, found in the engines, the insulating system must tolerate this operating voltage. In more electric aero planes, power supplies play a crucial role, and because lightweight and space are limited, their dependability must be great. Materials will be employed as), since conventional hydrocarbons cannot sustain such a body heat. in various high-voltage situations for a considerable amount of time, their electrical behavior is still not entirely known, particularly when it comes to the insulators for aircraft electrical machines. The preliminary testing findings of three potential inorganic wire candidates' fundamental electrical performance will be covered in depth in this study. In order to assess important ageing processes utilized in an aeronautical environment, the findings will serve as a standard for further experiments. Every potential cable's electrical insulation performance is shown and compared. To investigate variations in the insulating layer architectures of the materials, SEM scans has been done. Afterwards, analysis was performed using both the sensor readings and indeed the scan findings. A small number of temperature cycles and the cold air circumstances where the real system is anticipated to function have been used in all of the experiments. © 2023 IEEE.

AI on the edge as a paradigm promises unparalleled energy efficiency and data privacy among other benefits. This has resulted in a rising trend of approaches to bring AI computing near or embedded directly inside a sensing element. The growing need for self-powered electronics has led to extensive research into highly efficient energy-harvesting technologies. This study specifically explores multilayer composite films (MCF) made of PZT/PVDF for use in sensors and energy harvesting. Thorough characterization of the MCF PZT/PVDF using SEM and AFM has provided important insights into its microstructure and surface morphology. Essential piezoelectric properties were observed using FTIR and XRD. The output voltage response and piezoelectric coefficient (d33) of the films were measured via impact tests to assess performance under different forces. The MCF PZT/PVDF show significant promise for advancing the field of sensors, energy harvesting, and flexible electronics, providing a sustainable and efficient approach to power generation. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. Modular Automation offers promising technologies for the process and chemical industry. It meets the requirements for greater flexibility and a shorter development cycle for production facilities by dividing the process into smaller standardized units. Key element of Modular Automation is the Module Type Package (MTP). It represents a standardized and manufacturerindependent description of the automation interface for selfcontained production units, or Process Equipment Assemblies (PEA), and endows the plug-and-produce capability of PEAs. Software solutions to program MTP compatible PEAs are mostly provided by the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) manufacturers. They are proprietary and bound to certain hardware and even programming languages. Therefore, their suitability for implementation of soft sensors based on data-driven advanced analytics is strongly limited. In this article we present an opensource Python package, MTPPy, designed for rapid prototyping of MTP-capable soft sensors with a focus on AI-based research applications. MTPPy is aimed at the accelerated deployment of soft sensors in the modular plants;thus, closing the gap between the data-driven model development and integration into the production.
