A collection of sensor nodes used to locate an object in its environment makes up a wireless sensor network. It gathers all relevant information about the circumstance and sends it through a wireless network to the main node. Wireless sensor networks do have significant difficulties, namely the effective placement of sensor nodes in an environment. Limited energy sources, transmission capacity, short coverage, data dissemination, data permanence, defective nodes, and redundant data protection are a few of the problems. In order to keep track of the applications, the Discovery Configuration Protocol (DCP) is been appointed for a while. It's necessary for alternative use, which is crucial for recreating the right data source. Source Location Privacy (SLP) safety of the WSN has gained popularity recently as a means of preventing adversaries from using a backtracking tactic to seize the information source. End-to-end location privacy is used to deliver information via various source to sink nodes. Users who are unaware of the location of the data must retrieve it via location-based services. So, let's introduce the suggested Adaptive Trust Sector-Based Authenticated System (ATSAS), which uses agent sink nodes to assess each node's trust confidence value. The joining nodes share information on the number of single-hop neighbors after learning who their neighbors are. The network algorithm creates the node's updated confidence value. Using Honey Encryption (HE) for packet encryption and data verification, the first step secures the WSN. Such cryptographies create a Distribution-Transforming Encoder (DTE) for the seed location of an n-bit string using the plain text message that isn't encrypted. The input for feedback during key generation is the output encryption point. To advance stage, via observations of both direct & indirect type are derived depending on two sources of data, for example its nearby trust score. As a result, this protocol improves secure communication

Internet of things (IoT) comprises of the network of billions of "Things" communicating with each other and controlling very large amount of actions, which are confronting numerous specialized and application challenges. This paper presents a reliable and common network, including strategies and applications on the common platform for IoT applications. IoT is an intelligent system which interfaces all things to the Internet for the reason of trading data and conveying through the data detecting gadgets as per concurred conventions. It accomplishes the objective of smart distinguishing, finding, following, checking, and overseeing things. It is an augmentation and development of Internet-based system, which grows the correspondence from human to human, human to things, or things to things. The idea of making common platform for IoT devices independent of vendors (hardware or software developers) is mainly requiring the procedure of defining the protocols for execution of different operations on different interfacings. The user interface is designed to have different social networking Web sites and applications for easy access and to have modular structure. The system realization is achieved using LabVIEW to validate the performance of the proposed framework. The proposed design would provide seamless integration of sensor devices for variety of IoT applications.

The corporate version of Internet of Things (IoT) technology is actively used in industry today. The Enterprise Internet of Things (EIoT) provides companies with new ways to control machines and equipment using wireless sensor networks and controls. Wireless sensors, powered by a small battery and not connected to a wired power supply, can be placed in industrial environments in places completely inaccessible to previous generation controls. In this paper the performance evaluation of sensor communication model for obtains high level accuracy in Enterprise Internet of Things. EIoT has increased the reliability, safety and interoperability of systems and equipment, not only in industry, but also in healthcare, financial services, etc., to meet the more stringent requirements for implementing wireless technologies in this area. These areas make the specifications and design elements of this new technology far superior to similar IoT technologies of traditional devices designed for less critical consumer or business applications. © 2022 IEEE.

Vibration analysis serves as a valuable method to identify defects within mechanical systems. This process involves monitoring the auditory signals generated by the system and discerning patterns that signify potential issues. Nevertheless, due to the intricate nature of motors, relying solely on one modality (such as acoustic signals) might prove inadequate for comprehensively detecting all faults. Our research introduces a novel approach to enhance fault detection in mechanical systems, specifically focusing on motors. A more comprehensive system health assessment is achieved by utilizing multi-modal vibration analysis, combining acoustic signals and heat signatures. Effective information fusion is facilitated by integrating attention-based transformers, capable of capturing cross-modal correlations. The proposed neural network employs classification and regression loss functions for fault identification and severity assessment respectively. Evaluation on a motor fault dataset demonstrates significant classification accuracy improvements compared to conventional deep and machine learning methods. Incorporating a signal-to-image transformation further aids in fault pattern recognition. This method offers a promising avenue for accurate and comprehensive fault diagnosis in mechanical systems, showcasing the potential of multi-modal analysis and attention mechanisms for industrial equipment maintenance. © 2024 IEEE.

In today's linked world, essential infrastructure must be protected from unauthorized access. Traditional security measures often depend on closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems for perimeter monitoring. However, developing technologies provide substantial opportunity for improving security standards. This study presents a novel technique for achieving enhanced real-time, long-range object monitoring capabilities by combining modern edge computing and a varied spectrum of sensors, including LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and ultrasonic sensors. LiDAR and ultrasonic sensors outperform traditional video cameras by offering real-time, long-range object monitoring capabilities, making them suitable for critical infrastructure security. However, these sensors create complex 3D point cloud data, which presents issues for data transmission and storage. To overcome this problem, we suggest implementing an enhanced edge computing architecture. The suggested architecture optimizes data transmission by compressing and centralizing point cloud data at the network's edge. This strategy reduces the demand on network resources by transferring computing activities to edge devices, allowing for real-time monitoring. Furthermore, the optimized data is smoothly transported to cost-effective Cloud-based servers provide effective resource utilization while protecting the security system. This research not only introduces a novel security paradigm for critical infrastructure but also contributes to the wider discourse on edge computing applications. By combining advanced sensors and edge computing technology, our approach not only enhances security but also ensures scalability, cost-effectiveness, and real-time responsiveness. The findings of this study have significant. Implications for the design and implementation of future security systems, emphasizing the importance of leveraging cutting-edge technologies to safeguard vital assets and infrastructure. © 2024 IEEE.

Radio Frequency Neural Networks (RFNNs) have demonstrated advantages in realizing intelligent applications across various domains. However, as the model size of deep neural networks rapidly increases, implementing large-scale RFNN in practice requires an extensive number of RF interferometers and consumes a substantial amount of energy. To address this challenge, we propose to utilize low-rank decomposition to transform a large-scale RFNN into a compact RFNN while almost preserving its accuracy. Specifically, we develop a Tensor-Train RFNN (TT-RFNN) where each layer comprises a sequence of low-rank third-order tensors, leading to a notable reduction in parameter count, thereby optimizing RF interferometer utilization in comparison to the original large-scale RFNN. Additionally, considering the inherent physical errors when mapping TT-RFNN to RF device parameters in real-world deployment, from a general perspective, we construct the Robust TT-RFNN (RTT-RFNN) by incorporating a robustness solver on TT-RFNN to enhance its robustness. To adapt the RTT-RFNN to varying requirements of reshaping operations, we further provide a reconfigurable reshaping solution employing RF switch matrices. Empirical evaluations conducted on MNIST and CIFAR-10 datasets show the effectiveness of our proposed method.

Advances in Internet-of-Things, artificial intelligence, and ubiquitous computing technologies have contributed to building the next generation of context-aware heterogeneous systems with robust interoperability to control and monitor the environmental variables of smart environments. Motivated by this, we propose HeteroSys, an end-to-end multi-functional smart IoT-based system prototype for heterogeneous and collaborative sensing in a smart IoT-based environment. A unique characteristic of HeteroSys is that it relies on Home Assistant (HA) to collate heterogeneous sensors (e.g., passive infrared sensors (PIR), reed (door) switches, object tags, wearable wrist-mounted, water leak sensors, and internet protocol cameras), and uses a variety of networking protocols such as Zigbee open standard for mesh networking, WiFi, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for communication. The reliance on HA (and its broad community support) makes HeteroSys ideal for various applications such as object detection, human activity recognition and behavior patterns. We articulated the development phase, integration, testing challenges and evaluation of the HeteroSys. We conducted an extensive 24-hour longitudinal data collection from 5 participants performing 6 activities by deploying in an indoor home environment. Our assessment of the acquired dataset reveals that the representations learned using deep learning architecture aid in improving the detection of activities to 83.1% accuracy.

In the analysis and calculation of turbulent flow, the stress generated by the fluid needs to be accurately measured by sensors. In this research, a mechanical stress sensor was developed based on standard 180nm CMOS technology for real-time measurement of stress. The main contributions of this study include the following: 1) The temperature-compensated RC oscillator circuit changes mechanical stress-induced chip deformation into a frequency output. When the temperature was changed from -40°C to 120°C, the oscillator frequency only changed to 0.303Hz/ °C. 2) No complicated calibration and complicated measurement equipment are required. The chip area does not exceed 0.569 mm2. Moreover, the power consumption does not exceed 22.9 μW. 3) The average sensitivity measured by the chip is 14.39ppm/kPa, and the linear fitting curve's determination coefficient (R2) is 0.9983. © 2022 IEEE.

A novel radar sensing system for non-contact and continuous detection of heart sound is proposed in this paper, which is a custom designed 120 Clix interferometric radar. The moving trajectory of the heart pulses can be accurately demodulated based on the radar signals, and thus the heart sounds can be reconstructed. Experiments have been carried out with electrocardiogram (ECG) and phonocardiogram (PCG) as reference. The results show the heart pulse signatures to an accuracy of micrometer level can be detected by the designed radar sensor, and the reconstructed heart sound can be visually and acoustically recognized. There is also a certain degree of similarity between the PCG signals and the heart sound signals reconstructed by the proposed radar sensor. The experimental results reveal the possibility for the proposed radar system as a heart sound sensor to be employed inside and outside the clinic, such as applications in the vast internet-of-things (IoT) and inhome health monitoring.
