Nowadays, there is a lot of effort to increase safety on roads. The main focus of research is on vehicles and their associated functionality. This paper focuses on increasing safety for other cyclist road transport participants. The research is focused on intelligent light for which propose a solution based on a connection between the mobile device and light device. The solution is aimed at brake light and turn signals. We use data gathered from motion sensors to achieve a simple device that can only be mounted on a bicycle and provide lighting functionality. The data was evaluated by artificial intelligence, namely LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory). The model was trained in the prototype phase, where labeled braking data was created. For labeling data hall sensor was used located on the bicycle brake. Additionally, the solution introduces a turn signal light controlled by voice. Through the utilization of an offline voice recognition library on a mobile phone, the directional lights are governed by verbal commands. This paper describes the hardware, communication, and software parts required to build the intelligent light. Experimental analysis has been conducted to collect data in different situations that occur while cycling, such as braking with different intensities or braking when the bicycle is tilted differently. During the testing phase, we evaluate the effectiveness of the trained LSTM model in detecting bicycle braking during the real ride. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper describes a −77.2 dBm sensitivity, 5.24 nW power consumption, and wide temperature range wake-up receiver (WuRX) for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). A global digital temperature compensation (GDTC) technology based on a gate leakage-based sensor is proposed, which achieves the low-power temperature compensation for all key modules. At a supply voltage of 0.4 V and an input RF power of ${- 7 6} \mathrm{dBm}$ at 915 MHz, the $S 11$ variation of the proposed WuRX is reduced by $67 \%$ when temperature changes from $-30^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ to $70^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$.

The wireless sensor network is the most widely used, most flexible, and most scalable paradigm. It is an arrangement of a large number of sensing nodes that can assemble information from their surroundings and coordinate with one another in order to relay the information to a central base station. In wireless sensor-system used in various applications, the sampling rate of camera is increased there by oversampling problem arises, since sampling rate influences the quality of service (QoS) of WSN. If the sampling rate is low, the sensor estimation may overlook lot of information. When sampling rate is high, estimations are more precise but cost of computational power increases resulting in short lifetime of sensors. We propose versatile sampling strategy to accomplish high detecting quality and additionally expand the system lifetime. The three primary phases of proposed strategy are preview, which frames a low gauge of the field, back cast, which activates extra sensors in non-smooth region and refinement, which makes the base determination, assess. In the primary stages, we use the conventional method of comprehensive sensing to sample and rebuild the image. The secondary stage uses the adaptive sampling method to sample and reconstruct the image. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In wireless sensor network (WSN), various data is collected via sensors and transmitted over a public channel. However, during the transmission, an attacker can intercept and eavesdrop on data and use it to launch some attacks. Therefore, it is necessary to design secure authentication and key agreement (AKA) protocols in WSN environments, which ensures secure communication between entities. Recently, Yu et al. designed an authentication protocol in WSN and claimed their proposed protocol can resist well-known attacks. In addition, Wang et al. proposed another three-party mutual authentication protocol in IoT-enabled wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we find some security vulnerabilities in both protocols, including sensor node capture attacks, known session-specific temporary information attacks, and violating perfect forward secrecy. Finally, we introduce several suggestions for the improvement of both protocols. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Wireless sensor networks, also known as WSNs, have quickly transformed into one of the main important areas of research, significantly influencing the development of new technologies. Many resource-constrained sensor nodes function independently to collaborate and maintain wireless networks. Through these networks, essential source information is gathered and transferred to the end users or decision-makers. WSNs have been implemented in different critical applications, such as remote patient health monitoring systems, home automation systems, sales tracking systems, enemy target monitoring and tracking systems, and fire detection system implementations, where the trustworthiness of WSNs becomes very important. These kinds of applications desire to have both comprehensive and accurate data. WSNs may be prone to anomalies as a result of low-cost hardware and software that is unstable, as well as an adverse operating environment that may disrupt the network's communication. It is necessary to identify these anomalies because they can bring about malfunctions in the network and, as a result, impair the quality of the data that has been gathered. In this research, we investigate the anomalies present in WSN, discuss the desirable attributes of anomaly detection approaches, and examine the different anomaly detection strategies that can be applied to wireless sensor networks. © 2022 ACM.

Ubiquitous IoT sensor sharing is the vision of empowering any IoT application to instantaneously discover and use any of the billions of existing IoT sensors and also permitting the provider of any IoT sensor to share the IoT sensor procurement, deployment and management with its IoT client applications. In this paper, we propose a solution for realizing this vision. More specifically, describe an open-source sensor Sharing Marketplace (OpenSenShaMart) that provides a sensor registration service that allows sensor providers to describe their sensors, their data, and related costs. IoT client applications use OpenSenShaMart’s semantic query, integration, and payment services to discover, automatically provision, and pay for the IoT sensor data according to the provided payment terms. OpenSenShaMart autonomically controls the data flow between sensors and their clients, as well as the scalability of its services. This paper presents OpenSenShaMart architecture, interface, open-source implementation, and future research.

Integrating sensing in a soft robot is still crucial to enable feedback response to environmental stimuli. This paper presents a single-wire soft sensor for multimodal tactile sensing designed to address the limitations of current technologies. The sensor integrates a stimulus-responsive hydrogel with a unique design that enables spatial and force sensing by leveraging changes in electromagnetic resonance properties. With a simplified structure, the sensor is fabricated with minimal wiring, maintaining flexibility and adaptability for various robotic applications. Experimental results demonstrate high accuracy in detecting contact points (up to 98%) and applied forces (96%) and a combined detection accuracy of 87%. This approach allows for distributed sensing within the robot or using the whole body as a sensing element, enhancing the system’s responsiveness to environmental stimuli and supporting advanced applications in physical intelligence.

Over the past two decades, there has been a surge of interest in the study of image quality assessment due to its broad applicability in many fields. Satellites and other remote sensing applications have been collecting vital data that is utilised to monitor targets or events in varying environmental conditions all over the world. Some of these collections include images of natural disasters and anthropogenic events such as wildfires, floods, and drought, among others. However, appropriate image quality assessment techniques have been lacking for image fusion and other remote sensing applications where the information is not targeting the human visual system. Currently, there are several perceptual image quality assessment methods that can be applied depending on the image sensor type. In this paper, we focus on various no-reference general and specific image quality methods that can be used to evaluate remote sensing images for fire detection. Further, we evaluate the effectiveness of the non-referential image quality techniques applied in the processing of airborne sensor images, notably those for fire detection, and correlate the effectiveness of these techniques to the accuracy of detection. In this paper Image quality assessment (IQA) methods such as entropy, BRISQUE, MUSIQ, exposure, and CPBD are analyzed along with methods for image distortion, i.e., Gaussian blur, and image enhancement such as HE, AHE, and CLAHE. Therefore, the no-reference image quality assessment investigation will contribute to the detection and correction of image quality processing issues in wildfires. © 2022 IEEE.

Wi-Fi sensor Networks (WSNs) have emerged as a transformative era for several applications, from environmental monitoring to protection systems, due to improvements in wi-fi verbal exchange and sensor technologies. The deployment of Mobile Wireless sensor Networks (MWSNs) introduces the task of maximizing community lifetime at the equal time as making sure green facts series and processing. This test proposes a novel technique to extend the lifetime of MWSNs by using way of leveraging Evolutionary Computing (EC) techniques. Through a comparative assessment of five EC algorithms-Genetic Algorithms (GA), Differential Evolution (DE), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), and Neighborhood Field Optimization (NFO)-the research highlights the strengths and limitations of every method in optimizing the energy performance of MWSNs. The results show the functionality of EC strategies in enhancing the sustainability and operational basic overall performance of WSNs, presenting treasured insights for destiny studies and realistic programs in the subject.
