Posture identification system has been extensively useful in areas such as physical activities, ecological awareness events, man machine interfacing applications, control room panel monitoring systems and in autonomous old people caring systems. This paper describes a sensor based posture detection and guidance system while doing yoga exercise. In our day-to-day life, doing yoga exercise has become a well-known discipline, which helps people to be physically fit and have good mental health. Practicing yoga exercise is a recognized system for the human beings to improve their physical and mental activities. This practice helps in regulatory activities in an individual's mind, body and soul. As a result of this, flexibility, muscle power and body image will increase. The existing method has shown the recognition of posture analysis through virtual reality and exergame. We proposed a suit that is designed and implemented through a virtual master. The suit is integrated with various types of accelerometer sensors which are fixed on the flexible bands, that are light in weight and are used indirectly to measure the orientation of the limbs. Also the sensor integrated suit is very helpful to measure the direction of the tilt moment. Predefined calibrated values are loaded on to the microcontroller, which are compared with the measured values and when there is a match the information is sent to a mobile application. The mobile app identifies whether the user is doing the posture correctly or not based on the information given to practice the yoga exercise. (C) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. This paper presents a single port micro strip patch cavity antenna for identifying lubricant oil level as well as its quality. The antenna sensor has a compact structure with a ground plane of 52 mm x 45 mm and radiating patch of 40 mm x 31 mm. The substrate is made up of FR-4 (epsilon r = 4.3) material with 1.6 mm thickness and the copper clad of 0.035 mm thickness. The cavity height is 1.5 mm and cavity is made up of FR-4 material. The parameters of the sensor are optimized using the CST-Microwave Studio tool (CST-MWS) and designed at 3.16 GHz operation, under unloaded conditions. When the cavity is filled with the fresh engine oil, then the resonance frequency reduces to 2.79 GHz. The proposed antenna provides a sensitivity of 554 MHz/epsilon. A prototype of the designed antenna is fabricated and its characteristics are found to match with simulation. The antenna impedance is found to increase with volume of oil, for all conditions. Moreover, the resonant frequency of sensor is gradually decrease with increase oil volume inside the cavity of antenna sensor. (C) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

The use of sensor nodes in heterogeneous networks marks a significant progress in the field of wireless sensor networks (WSNs), hence enhancing the adaptability and efficiency of the networks in various applications. This approach combines several sensor nodes into one network to offer thorough and strong data collecting. Every node has unique power needs, communication methods, and set of capabilities. Among the several significant applications—such as in smart cities, industrial automation, environmental monitoring, and healthcare—the main advantages are enhanced data accuracy, error resilience, and situational adaptation to new conditions. The areas of worry include assuring perfect compatibility, effective energy management, and safe data transport. Future research and development activities based on advanced technologies such 5G, machine learning, and artificial intelligence will mostly focus on enhancing the efficiency and efficacy of network deployment and operation. This will enable intelligent decision-making and real-time monitoring in environments limited resources.
