In the fields of plant pathology and human diseases, disease segmentation is a challenging research issue. Though disease segmentation is less considered compared to human disease segmentation, still it is its own importance to determine the severity and whole affected area which in turn can assist in analyzing crop loss and precise preventing action can be taken. Manually segmenting and analyzing the effected diseases in mushrooms is inaccurate and difficult. This paper presents Agaricus bisporus mushroom diseases detection and segmentation using computer-aided methods K-means clustering, ROI, and color intensity-based thresholding techniques. A comparative analysis on A. bisporus diseases segmentation using image segmentation methods K-means and ROI and color intensity-based thresholding is made. The color intensity-based thresholding method’s results are more promising than other segmentation approaches. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Visual impairments are a global health issue with profound socioeconomic ramifications in both the developing and the developed world. There exist ongoing research projects, that aim to investigate the influence of light in the perception of low vision individuals. But as of today, there is neither clear knowledge nor extensive data regarding the influence of light in low vision situations. This research will address these issues by introducing a methodology and a system to simulate visual impairments. A pipeline based on eye anatomy coupled with real-time image processing algorithms allows to dynamically simulate low vision specific characteristics of selected impairments in mixed reality. An original new approach based on massively parallelized processing combined with an efficient modeling of eye refractive errors aims to improve the accuracy of the low vision simulation.

In the evolving internet of Things (IoT) landscape, network data security is a critical concern due to vulnerabilities like weak passwords, insecure networks, and outdated components. This project tackles these challenges by introducing an innovative encryption method that conceals IoT network data within image files. By addressing key vulnerabilities, this approach enhances data transmission security. The project employs Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), integrated into traditional steganography techniques to increase payload capacity and se-cure data transfer. Testing results demonstrate a 0.4000 increase in accuracy (achieving 90.04%), a significant reduction in loss by 0.4525, and improved image quality with a Peak signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) increase of 23.8752, showcasing the model's robustness in real-time encoding and decoding. The ultimate objective is to provide a comprehensive solution to strengthen IoT data security in the face of emerging threats.

The entire design structure is being impacted by advancements in electronic technology, which is posing a number of challenges for digital systems. In the fields of communications, image processing, and multimedia, VLSI-based image filter architectures are essential. Numerous applications based on VLSI architecture experience problems with significant size components that result in a filter design error during the floating-point arithmetic stages. The increased complexity of the filter design's component list is the issue encountered in the VLSI architecture. Noise removal often involves using the image filtering technique. There is a greater need for performance-based hardware sorting algorithms for low power embedded real-Time image filtering applications. Noise often taints an image while being transmitted from one location to another. The purpose of the denoising technique is to reduce noise while keeping any potential signal features that may be significant. Compare to the prior method, the usage of multipliers can be reduced based on the techniques of distance matrix and hardware resource sharing. The speed of the proposed VLSI architecture for the bilateral filter can be faster than the existing approach. © 2022 IEEE.

In some Emergency Situations, Patients must be monitored continuously and treated for. However, going to the hospital to perform such work is challenging due to time restraints. A virtual care monitoring system can help with this. With the rising use of cloud computing, the suggested system presents an efficient data science technique for IoT enabled healthcare monitoring systems that improve the productivity of data processing and the use of data in the cloud. IoT sensors in plenty are used to gather health care data. For the purposes of science processing, these data are stored in the cloud. An altered data science technique is initially introduced in the Healthcare Monitoring - Data Science Technique (HM-DST). The Upgraded Pigeon Optimization (IPO) technique is used to arrange the data that is kept in the cloud, which helps to increase prediction accuracy. The best method for selecting features is then illustrated for the removal and features selection. In order to analyze human healthcare, a backtracking search-based deep neural network (BS-DNN) is used. The performance of our system is then assessed using various real-time healthcare datasets, and changes are observed using the current smart healthcare monitoring systems. To assist the medical community in early detection of a patient's primary organs' health status, allowing for proper treatment, as well as to securely store patient health data in the cloud. The goal of the project is to demonstrate how the sensory system can be used to track a patient's movement invisibly. © 2023 IEEE.

Engineering drawings, including hand written-based or computer-based, are frequently utilized;across various industries such as electronic, mechanical, oil, and gas. Extracting, recognizing, and interpreting a circuit can provide easier debugging and further information. This paper proposes a new method to identify primary gates and their connected lines in electrical circuits to generate hardware description languages (HDLs), automatically. This method comprises three main phases. First, applying morphological and logical/arithmetic operations eliminate all lines except gates. Second, the resulted image including logical gates is examined to recognize primary gates using an object detector. For this purpose, the proposed method recognizes all objects using connected component technique and graph theory. According to the shape feature, the type of gate is identified. Finally, a cost-free model is suggested for detecting input and output lines for each gate. Then, the recognized gates and elements in the circuit are used to generate an HDL code. Experimental results verify the promising accuracy of the proposed method. © 2022 IEEE.

QR code is known for rapid and high-capacity information transmission. Being easy to generate and widely used, it’s ideal for hiding information. This paper proposes a color QR code-based information hiding scheme to boost payload and security. It divides secret information into text and image, encodes text as QR code, and processes the image as a binary one. It utilizes QR code's error correction and human visual system's feature extraction ability for robustness. It does mask operation to embed extra image data. It employs different keys with logistic chaos systems for encryption and decryption. It designs a color mapping rule to embed all information types in one QR code, increasing storage capacity. Experiments show it quadruples payload while enhancing security and robustness.

Smart Agriculture plays an important role in providing foods and manufacturing products. It covers various food-related applications, from weed and pest identification to crop recommendation. Selecting an appropriate crop to grow for a farm directly affects the quality and quantity of products. This paper proposes a user-friendly crop recommendation system called UACR. The users only need to insert their farm location and the system can automatically obtain other necessary information (e.g., rain level, soil type) based on the requested location and recommends the best crop(s) for growing in the location. To support and implement the proposed system, an architecture based on Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) technology, as one of the main enablers for smart agriculture, is also proposed.

Blurring of two-dimensional (2D) barcode is very common in mobile internet systems, which often leads to barcode recognition failure. In order to deal with the problem of barcode blur, blur-readable (BR) 2D barcode which can be decoded without deblurring is newly proposed. However, the research on the image processing of BR code are rare and the field of BR code detection and identification is almost blank so far, which impede the use of BR code in practical scenarios. In the application of BR code, distortion problems such as tilt and perspective of the image may lead to difficulty in identifying the BR code. In addition, in some industrial scenarios, we hope that the BR code can be instantly recognized to meet the real-time requirement. In this paper, an efficient image processing and detection method for BR code images with complex background is proposed. We use the ellipse feature of the finder patterns of distorted BR code to locate and correct the BR code images. The experimental results show that our BR code detection method is effective to detect distorted BR code images. © 2022 IEEE.

Rice cultivation is pivotal in India, facing various color-related issues during different growth stages. Identifying these conditions manually can be challenging, especially for less experienced farmers. Recent advancements in Deep Learning (DL) demonstrate the effectiveness of automated image recognition systems. These systems utilize Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Transfer Learning (TL), and Support Vector Machine (SVM) models for similar agricultural problems. Due to the unavailability of readily accessible rice disease image datasets, a custom dataset was created. Consequently, a deep learning model was devised using transfer learning. The proposed CNN architecture, based on MobileNet, was trained and tested using datasets from paddy fields and the internet.
