Binary multipliers are used in microprocessors, digital signal processors, and various digital systems for efficient computation of binary arithmetic operations. Wallace Tree multiplier is used over others because it can perform high-speed, area-efficient, scalable, and power-efficient multiplication in many digital systems and applications. This paper aims to design an optimized 3x3 Wallace Tree multiplier using switched gate circuits such as transmission gates and Pass transistor logic gates in Cadence Virtuoso 45nm technology. Using switched gates, the logic levels required to perform the summation can be decreased. A comparative analysis has been carried out for the designed Wallace tree multiplier circuits and output results based on the PTL logic are showing better results in terms of area and power compared to the conventional model

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) suffer from limited accuracy due to noisy electroencephalography (EEG) signals. Existing denoising methods often remove artifacts such as eye movement or use techniques such as linear detrending, which inadvertently discard crucial task-relevant information. To address this issue, we present BGNet, a novel deep learning framework that leverages underutilized baseline EEG signals for dynamic noise mitigation and robust feature extraction to improve motor imagery (MI) EEG classification. Our approach employs data augmentation to strengthen model robustness, an autoencoder to extract features from baseline and MI signals, a feature alignment module to separate specific task and noise, and a classifier. We achieve state-of-the-art performance, an improvement of 5.9% and 3.7% on the BCIC IV 2a and 2b datasets, respectively. The qualitative analysis of our learned features proves superior representational power over baseline models, a critical aspect in dealing with noisy EEG signals. Our findings demonstrate the efficacy of readily available baseline signals in enhancing performance, opening possibilities for simplified BCI systems in brain-based communication applications. © 2024 IEEE.

The data transmission rate in wireless systems is limited by the transmission delay in the physical channel. In order to improve the data transmission rate of the wireless system in the mine environment, the time delay model of the mine wireless channel was established based on the multi-wave mode method, and the time delay characteristics of the mine wireless channel were simulated. Compared with the measured results, the model can accurately predict the attenuation trend and transmission delay of the signal in the tunnel and further analyze the influence of the tunnel size, carrier frequency, antenna position, and antenna polarization on the delay extension of the wireless channel. Simulation results show that the signal delay is independent of the propagation distance in the far field of the tunnel antenna. The height of the tunnel has a great influence on the delay spread of the horizontally polarized signal, and the width of the tunnel has a great influence on the delay spread of the vertically polarized signal. Frequency changes are not sensitive to delay spread. From the perspective of wireless system deployment and physical layer parameter configuration, by selecting the appropriate antenna polarization and installation location in the tunnel, the delay of wireless communication can be reduced and the transmission rate of the wireless system can be improved.

This paper explores the fusion of Longterm Recurrent Convolutional Neural Network (LRCNN) for action classification and Single image Super-Resolution Convolutional Neural Network (SRCNN) for enhancing image quality in handball video sequences. Building upon previous work utilizing Mask R-CNN and an Optical Flow-based Method for handball action detection, our study extends the framework by integrating LRCNN for precise action classification and SRCNN for improving spatial resolution and image quality as a hybrid model, Super Long Range Convolutional Neural Network (SLRCNN). LRCNN accurately classifies handball actions, while SRCNN enhances visual fidelity, leading to higher Peak signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) values. Through thorough experimentation and analysis, we assess the effectiveness of SLRCNN in capturing and classifying subtle handball actions, advancing sports analytics in computer vision with a holistic approach optimizing both action recognition accuracy and image quality metrics.

Human activity recognition(HAR) has received increasing attention and has been applied in multiple fields such as healthcare and human-computer interaction. Previous activity recognition methods have problems such as privacy leakage, strong intrusion on users, and coarse detection granularity. Therefore, we propose a privacy protection, easy-to-use, identifiability, lightweight, and fine-grained human activity recognition method based on bound-RFID technology. Firstly, we utilize the fundamental physical characteristics of radio frequency signals, such as doppler frequency (DF), received signal strength indicator (RSSI), and phase, which reflect human activity. Analyze the correlation between these data and human activities, establish a graphical relationship between data changes and activities, and generate human postures through posture time windows. Secondly, we integrate tags information to model human activities by establishing spatio-temporal skeleton graphs with temporal and spatial information. Finally, we model the spatio-temporal skeleton graph convolutional neural network to classify these graphs. As far as we know, this is the most refined HAR based on bound-RFID tags.

With the development of technology, 3D reconstruction has been widely used in many fields. In this paper, we propose a learnable 3D reconstruction method using a cascaded Patchmatch approach to form a new network. By introducing a dual-channel attention module, point clouds reconstruction has been improved in accuracy and completion This network has high computational speed and low memory requirements, which allows it to handle higher-resolution images. The network is more suitable for running on resource-constrained devices than competitors that employ 3D cost volume regularization. We introduce the feature fusion module to an end-to-end trainable framework for the first time. The weight parameters of the multi-scale network output can be adaptively learned in each calculation, which can reduce the feature dispersion caused by the multi-scale output. image captioning is a challenging task that lies at the intersection of Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. There exists a legion of works that generate meaningful and realistic descriptions of images. Recently, with the advent of attention mechanisms and transformers, there has been a drastic shift in modelling both language and vision tasks. However, there are very few extensive studies that review these approaches based on their progression, advantages and disadvantages. This paper presents a detailed summary of transformer-based models employed for tackling image captioning. In addition to this, we provide an overview of various pre-training tasks, datasets and metrics used for image captioning. Finally, the performance of all the reviewed approaches are compared on the COCO Captions dataset.

Compressive sensing is an emerging field for low-dimensional data acquisition. Samples are acquired in the compressed domain and utilized for signal reconstruction or as input features for a classifier. In this work, hardware-aware face recognition using compressed samples was investigated. A linear support vector machine (SVM) classifier was exploited with compressed samples as input features; Faces can be reliably recognized with high average accuracy (up to 99%). To assess the robustness of the proposed scheme, three image datasets covering different facial and illumination conditions were analyzed. Random (binary) and structured (Haar-transform-based) measurement matrices were employed for generating compressed samples. For one of the datasets, Extended Yale B, and using a random binary measurement matrix, the proposed scheme achieved 82% accuracy from as few as 15 compressed samples, which means a 1/20480 sensing ratio. Accuracy and compression are also remarkably high with respect to the state-of-the-art for the other two datasets.

Rice is an important grain crop in China, and its yield is greatly affected by the growth environment and pest infestations. This article develops a new type of rice growth environment monitoring system based on Niagara IoT technology, including environmental monitoring of seedling greenhouses and rice fields, as well as image recognition of pest infestations. By deploying Zigbee sensor nodes in greenhouses and rice fields, real-time environmental data is collected, while intelligent inspection drones are used for image acquisition, and YOLOV8 image recognition technology is used for disease and pest detection. The data is transmitted to the control center through the network for analysis and processing, in order to make timely decisions, optimize the growth conditions of rice, improve yield and quality, save resources, reduce environmental impact, and promote the standardization and digitization process of farm management and planting.

Building an effective fashion recommendation system is challenging due to the high level of subjectivity and the semantic complexity of the features involved. Users' decision depends largely on their interest and the appearance of the product. Such information is often hidden in implicit feedback from users' purchase histories and product images. Most interest-based recommendation systems like Deep Interest Network (DIN) and Deep Interest Evolution Network (DIEN) only take advantage of product attributes and context review, which are all text information. There are also some studies focusing on the use of image features for a fashion product recommendation. They try to extract features from images and recommend products based on their similarity. However, for DIEN. It works not well when there are few interactions between users and items, the model can not find users' interests effectively. On the other hand, these image-based recommendation systems tend to ignore an important factor: the user's interest. We propose a new system trying to find users' interests by introducing the visual information of the product and our image-based deep interest attention model based on DIEN. Product attributes and user preference can both be represented by introducing visual information. We can model similar attribute items in the same place and find user interests more effectively. We conducted a series of experiments on our own dataset to compare user click-through rate (CTR) AUC and Accuracy using our model with DIEN and other existing *** experimental results demonstrate that visual information effectively aids CTR prediction and achieved better recommendation results. © 2022 ACM.
