Band selection has a great impact on the spectral recovery quality. To solve this ill-posed inverse problem, most band selection methods adopt hand-crafted priors or exploit clustering or sparse regularization constraints to find most prominent bands. These methods are either very slow due to the computational cost of repeatedly training with respect to different selection frequencies or different band combinations. Many traditional methods rely on the scene prior and thus are not applicable to other scenarios. In this paper, we present a novel one-shot Neural Band Selection (NBS) framework for spectral recovery. Unlike conventional searching approaches with a discrete search space and a non-differentiable search strategy, our NBS is based on the continuous relaxation of the band selection process, thus allowing efficient band search using gradient descent. To enable the compatibility for selecting any number of bands in one-shot, we further exploit the band-wise correlation matrices to progressively suppress similar adjacent bands. Extensive evaluations on the NTIRE 2022 Spectral Reconstruction Challenge demonstrate that our NBS achieves consistent performance gains over competitive baselines when examined with four different spectral recovery methods. Our code will be publicly available. © 2023 IEEE.

In today’s technological revolution, internet of things (IoT) play very crucial role. The term IoT(internet of Things) refers to the connection of objects to each other and to humans via the internet. IoT is adjustable to almost any technology that is capable of providing relevant information about its operation, about the performance of an activity, and about the environmental conditions that are needed to control technology at a distance. IoT significantly improves the environment by exploding a new technology into the present one. Developed device is very easy to use and smarter than existing one. Through the use of a Wi-Fi component, the Cellphone Operated Tea Maker designed in the proposed work allows users to control their tea using their smartphones. The Tea Maker is managed by wifi methods of communication. This prototypical delivers us the feature for making tea according to our preferences and it will also be beneficial for organizations and companies by making a tea of their own choice.

Because of the significant gap between the real noise and the synthetic noise domains, the learning-based method trained on the synthetic noise performs poorly on the task of removing the real noise. To solve the problem, the dual path unsupervised real image denoising method is proposed, by using the unsupervised path of the image translation between the real noise domain and the synthetic noise domain and the indirect supervised path of the image denoising from the realistic noisy images to the noisy-free images. The image translation between the real noise domain and the synthetic noise domain augments the training images, and the effective supervised denoising model is used to tackle with the unsupervised real image denoising problem. This method network structure is flexible to adjust the different tasks in the practical applications. Compared to other unsupervised real image denoising methods, our method can adaptively generate the synthetic noise that shares a similar distribution as the real noise. Denoising experiments on real-world sRGB images show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

How to effectively classify massive music data has become a key research topic in the field of music information retrieval. This study proposes a novel music classification model that combines multi-feature image fusion (MFIF) and machine learning (ML) algorithms to improve the accuracy and efficiency of music classification. The specific method is to first convert music signals into various visual representations such as spectrograms, Mel spectrograms, and chromaticity maps, and then combine these different visual features into a comprehensive feature map through image fusion technology. In addition, the study also introduced a deep learning framework, using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to learn these fused image features. In the absence of noise, the model exhibits high performance with an accuracy of 0.87 and an F1 score of 0.855, indicating that the model can perform music classification tasks well under ideal input conditions. This article provides technical support for related music recommendation systems and music copyright management.

Self-monitoring respiratory and cardiac health is challenging without proper equipment and medical knowledge. While Masimo offers ideal remote monitoring through a pulse oximeter, device accessibility is still a significant issue. Thus, we designed a novel device designed for remote monitoring of vital signs using the internet of Things (IoT) technology and sensor technology in healthcare. Leveraging the capabilities of the modest MAX30102 sensor and ESP32 microcontroller, the device integrates seamlessly with IoT networks, enabling real-time transmission of heart and respiratory rate (RR) data with general assessment feedback to a convenient cellphone application. A sophisticated digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm was implemented in the device, which accurately derives RR from photoplethysmography (PPG) heart rate signals. This DSP-based device ensures precision in RR measurement and facilitates self-monitoring. Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Bland-Altman analysis results demonstrated the device's accuracy and reliability in capturing vital sign data. By bridging IoT capabilities with advanced DSP techniques, the device is a promising solution for remote patient monitoring to improve healthcare.

The integrated detection and jamming signal, which can realize radar detection and jamming functions at the same time, is an important research content of multifunctional RF systems. In this paper, we propose an integrated detection and jamming signal with convolution modulation of LFM signal. This integrated signal can form coherent smart noise jamming to the enemy and achieve radar detection by deconvolution and matched filtering of the echo signal. By optimizing the convolution sequence, the performance of the integrated signal after deconvolution and matched filtering is similar to or even better than that of the original LFM signal. Finally, the simulation results verify the performance of the integrated signal.

External denoising, also known as reference-based denoising, utilizes information from clean reference images, yielding more robust results than internal denoising, especially in situations with high noise levels. The effectiveness of reference-based denoising relies on the similarity between reference and noisy images. In this paper, we introduce a novel external denoising framework for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that takes advantage of the inherent anatomical structure similarities across subjects. Our framework employs noise-resistant neural networks to extract deep features, which facilitate searches for high-quality reference images from a large external database. This versatile framework is compatible with all reference-based denoising algorithms, obviating the need for acquiring additional reference images from the subject under examination.

We propose a human pose estimation algorithm based on multi-level feature fusion module. To enhance information transmission and feature fusion among different feature levels, we design a multi-level feature fusion structure. Further more, we use a multi-level feature fusion module based on a parallel multi-level feature fusion structure to improve the estimation network's ability to process multi-scale targets. The new network, built upon stacked multi-level feature fusion modules, exhibits strong capabilities in learning semantic information, extracting and fusing multi-scale features. When applied to human pose estimation tasks, it can effectively generate high-precision, high-resolution heatmaps for predicting human key points. This algorithm improves the AP(Average Precision) by 1.3 compared to Simple Baselines on the COCO dataset and enhances the PCKh@0.5 metric by 0.2 compared to Simple Baselines on the MPII dataset. The experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Voice assistants are designed to understand and respond to spoken language, and are widely used in various applications, including education. This paper addresses the limitations of traditional text-based learning systems for young children while exploiting the familiarity and comfort that voice technology offers. The proposed voice assistant employed the Raspberry Pi model 3 B+ for the execution of natural language processing. The Raspberry Pi is utilized due to its versatility in providing a User-friendly interface. The device will be activated with the wake word “ROSE” and then function for the spelled words, math operations, multiplication tables, animal sounds, planetary and calendar information. The Children can engage with this device and will learn the uttering of words with an appropriate accent. The device performance is evaluated by calculating the success percentage based on the response from the system on the uttering of various words by the children. This device facilitates handsfree, voice-driven interactions and utilizes the capabilities of voice technology to create an innovative and secure educational platform for children.
