This paper will discuss how to compress the stereo media data in order to avoid getting poor performance when transmitting these data over network. We proposed a novel disparity estimation method for stereo video compression. based on our method, we overcome some of the defects of phase correlation and improve disparity estimation accuracy on stereo image. From our experiments, the results not only show higher compression performance but also better than H.264 compression standard. In computing accelerated testing experiment, our proposed method have higher disparity estimation efficiency than block matching, especially when the resolution of the video are growing up or the foreground in a single frame occupies the most area of the scene.

In this paper, we propose an adaptive watermarking scheme for gray-scale images. The proposed scheme use the difference between the consecutive and non-overlapping pair of pixels to embed the watermark bits. The watermark is embedded into the pair of pixels using least-significant bit(LSB) substitution method. The difference between pair of pixels is used to determine the smooth and edge regions of the image. In smooth region less number of watermark bits are embedded and in edge region more number of watermark bits are embedded. The pixels of the cover image are categorized into different types using the embedding capacity which is determined by the difference between the pair of pixels. For any pair of consecutive pixels, both pixels are embedded with variable bits of watermark using LSB substitution method. Here, the number of bits to be embedded is decided based on the category to which the difference value belongs. After embedding, the difference value between embedded pair of pixels is retained by readjustment so that the quality of the image is maintained and embedding capacity is improved. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme has high embedding capacity and less distortion in embedded images.

This paper presents1 a multisensor surveillance system used inside an Automated Border Control (ABC) system (more specifically, an eGate). The system consists of two parts: counting the number of persons inside the eGate (person separation), ensuring that no more than one passenger is present;left luggage detection, ensuring that the passenger did not leave any item inside the eGate. These tasks are performed using a top-view mounted sensor inside the eGate, consisting of a trinocular camera configuration comprised of a monochrome stereo setup which delivers depth information, and a color camera mounted in-between, capturing color information. In contrast to already existing ABC solutions, which mostly use electronic sensors, e. g. simple beam technology, for person separation and left item detection, we introduce vision based technologies to elevate the security of such systems to a higher level, also increasing the usability for the border guard. The system achieves real time and had been demonstrated and evaluated at the Vienna international Airport.

In the circumstance of complex electromagnetism, the systems for signal detection need the abilities of wideband collection and processing, high probability of intercept and capture, and meanwhile fast and exact analysis. Then, the wideband signal detection approach based on Digital phosphor technology (DPX) is proposed in this paper for complex electromagnetic environment. This method analyzes the DPX image of the received signal, and can accurately measure the frequency domain signal parameters of multiple signals. Also, the method for signal detection based on cumulative spectrum, which was made for DPX after FMM, is introduced. Furthermore, the performance of detecting the emitter signals using this method is systematically analyzed under different conditions - single signal, double signals and multiple signals existing in the same receiver band. When there is more than one signal, the relationship of frequency position is divided into separation, cross and containing. All the resolvent for every situation are particularly explained at the same time. Next, the corresponding simulation tests are presented, where the accumulation time of DPX is set as 100ms. There are three broadband signals in the frequency band. One of them doesn't match the frequency mask and the other two signals do. The frequency of the two matching signals crosses to each other. Every 100 tests are done under the SNR of 5dB, 10dB, 15dB and 20dB, respectively. Finally, the result analysis and conclusion are discussed followed. The simulating results has demonstrated that the multiple signals existing in the same time period can be analyzed effectively by adopting the method proposed in this paper, which improves the capability of detection.

It is significantly obvious that English learning requires personally adapting systems. In order to satisfy this need, measuring the degrees of understanding by image tracking is fairly important. This study investigated whether eye tracking could be employed as a measure of the effectiveness of an E-Learning material on reading. Learners' eye fixations were used as a means of noticing. Results showed a relationship between different proficiencies and patterns of fixations. Suggested effects were found for improving reading proficiencies with eye movement trainings. Future possibilities for technological development of a combining system of image gazing with an E-Learning material are also proposed.
