With the explosive growth of internet technology, many innovative applications requiring exchange of large amount of data have become feasible and hence security of data have become a critical issue. In this paper, a robust and secure visible image watermarking algorithm is purposed. This purposed algorithm is based on Multi Wavelets with Modified fast Haar Wavelet transform [MFHWT]. MFHWT is the latest technique used for wavelets transformation which is used to perform image analysis at faster rate than previous techniques. The main idea of the purposed algorithm is to decompose the original image into fine scale sub bands using MFHWT according to the size of the Watermark. In this algorithm, the obtained watermarked image. In this algorithm has very high Peak signal to Noise Ratio [PSNR].

Removal of noise is an important step in the image restoration process, but denoising of image remains a challenging problem in recent research associate with image processing. Denoising is used to remove the noise from corrupted image, while retaining the edges and other detailed features as much as possible. This noise gets introduced during acquisition, transmission & reception and storage & retrieval processes. In this paper, to find out denoised image the modified denoising method and the local adaptive wavelet image denoising method can be used. The noisy image is denoised by modified denoising method which is based on wavelet domain and spatial domain and the local adaptive wavelet image denoising method which is based on wavelet domain. In this paper, we have evaluated and compared performances of modified denoising method and the local adaptive wavelet image denoising method. These methods are compared with other based on PSNR (Peak signal to noise ratio) between original image and noisy image and PSNR between original image and denoised image. Simulation and experiment results for an image demonstrate that RMSE of the local adaptive wavelet image denoising method is least as compare to modified denoising method and the PSNR of the local adaptive wavelet image denoising method is high than other method. Therefore, the image after denoising has a better visual effect. In this paper, these two methods are implemented by using MATLAB for denoising of image.

Electronic image stabilization (EIS) technology is an important research area of video processing and computer vision. This paper presented a set of fast and parallel EIS algorithms. Firstly, this paper proposed a fast local motion vector (LMV) estimation algorithm based on the FAST feature to solve the problem that the traditional algorithm is too complex. Secondly, a parallel global motion vector (GMV) algorithm based on image division is designed, which computes every LMV simultaneously, and then estimates the GMV by all LMVs. Finally, based on the proposed algorithm, an EIS systems based on BF609 dual-core DSP processor is designed and implemented. Experiment results show that the algorithm and system presented in this thesis can effectively stabilize jittery video and achieve high real-time performance. When dealing with PAL standard video, the total time cost is less than 40ms.

Ultra-wideband (UWB) radios are candidates for high data rate and power-constrained applications such as wireless sensor and body area networks. Compressive sensing (CS) is a promising signal processing solution which can reduce the sampling requirements as well as avoid the narrowband interference (NBI) in UWB systems by utilizing the sparsity of the transmitted signal. In this paper, we investigate the BER performance for mitigation of multiple NBI in CS based UWB systems. Simulation shows that at high signal to interference ration (SIR), the performance enhances as the bandwidth of the NBI increases. As the UWB signal's bandwidth increases, the number of the notched measurements lessens and we preserve the important information about the transmitted pulse. Additionally, the bandwidth occupied by the NBI relative to the center frequency of the transmitted pulse determines the amount of the degradation in the performance. In addition, the paper studies the impact of the transmitted pulse shape.

image retrieval is one of the most interesting and fastest growing research areas in all fields. It is an effective and efficient tool for managing large image databases. In most Content-based image Retrieval (CBIR) systems, an image is represented by a set of low-level visual features; hence a direct correlation with high-level semantic information will be absent. Therefore, a gap exists between high-level information and low-level features, which is the main reason that hinders the improvement of the image retrieval accuracy. In this work, main focus is on the semantic based image retrieval system using Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) for texture feature extraction. based on the texture features, semantic interpretations are given to the extracted textures. The images are retrieved according to user satisfaction and thereby reduce the semantic gap between low level features and high level features.

Video summarization provides condensed and succinct representations of the content of a video stream. A static storyboard summarization approach based on robust low-rank subspace segmentation is proposed in this paper. Firstly, video frames are represented as multi-dimensional vectors, and then embedded into a group of affine subspaces using low-rank representation according to the content similarity of the frames in the same subspace. Secondly, a series of subspaces are segmented based on the Normalized Cuts algorithm. The video summary is finally generated by choosing key frames from the significant subspaces and ranking these key frames in temporal order. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed summarization algorithm can produce crucial key frames and effectively reduce the visual content redundancy in summary comparing with the conventional approaches. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.

Presently on internet, it is difficult to find a resource which serves as one-stop destination for students regarding their career-related queries. Students who use internet to search for help end up with large amount of information, mostly irrelevant. This happens because of current syntax-based web search which just matches words of the query and returns all string-matched results. Thus, this research work proposes a Semantic web-based ecounseling system. It captures the query from the student in Natural Language, understands the logic of the query and returns a reply just as a human counselor would, which helps the student to find a proper career option with less efforts and time. The Natural Language Query is parsed by a NLP Parser to form a data structure which is compared to the Ontology, a hierarchical set of concepts and relations of a domain, and only relevant options are presented to the student. .

This study focuses on the detection of muzzle flash detection of small arms using low cost silicon CMOS-based sensors and imagers. Two types of sensors are utilized: CMOS image Sensors and CMOS-SPADs (Single Photon Avalanche Diodes). The detection approach is based on Near-Infrared (NIR) spectral features of muzzle flash originating from alkali metal flash suppressing additives in the gun powder. The spectral signature around wavelength of 760nm allows achieving adequate signal to noise ratio even in day light.

In the present medical scenario detection of breast cancer in its early stage is a very immense challenge. Many histogram based enhancement are present today. In this paper a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for tuning the enhancement parameter of Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) based on Local Contrast Modification (LCM) is presented. The PSO method of parameter tuning adopted for LCM-CLAHE enhancement for mammogram images achieves very good quality of images compared to other exiting methods. The quality of enhanced image is tested using an efficient objective criteria based on entropy and edge information of the image. Results are compared with other enhancement techniques such as histogram equalization, unsharpmasking. The performance of this method is tested using Peak signal to Noise Ratio. The quality of image shows that image obtained after this method can be useful for efficient detection of breast cancer in further process like segmentation, classification etc.
