Infrared imaging is the main method for detecting power equipment and a key means to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power grid. Traditional infrared imaging devices are bulky, inconvenient to carry, and unfriendly to operate, which affects their practical application effectiveness. In recent years, infrared imaging online detection and portable infrared imaging technology have been continuously developed, and advanced technologies such as 'big cloud moving intelligence' have been rapidly applied, providing new ideas for infrared imaging detection. This article proposes mobile phone infrared imaging detection and perforated infrared imaging online detection technology solutions based on the characteristics of overhead lines and distribution station buildings in the distribution network, and designs an infrared imaging detection architecture based on cloud edge collaborative distribution equipment. based on the cloud/edge collaboration mechanism, the inference calculation is moved forward to edge devices such as edge gateways or mobile phones. The model is trained in the cloud, and the model algorithm is updated before being distributed and deployed to the edge, reducing network transmission and cloud computing pressure. The cloud/edge updates independently. Finally, experiments have shown that the infrared imaging detection architecture for power distribution equipment based on cloud/edge collaboration effectively reduces network transmission load and cloud computing pressure, is easy to operate, and has good implementation effects. It provides a new solution to solve the series of problems existing in existing infrared imaging detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Typical video compression systems consist of two main modules: motion coding and residual coding. This general architecture is adopted by classical coding schemes (such as international standards H.265 and H.266) and deep learning-based coding schemes. We propose a novel B-frame coding architecture based on two-layer Conditional Augmented Normalization Flows (CANF). It has the striking feature of not transmitting any motion information. Our proposed idea of video compression without motion coding offers a new direction for learned video coding. Our base layer is a low-resolution image compressor that replaces the full-resolution motion compressor. The low-resolution coded image is merged with the warped high-resolution images to generate a high-quality image as a conditioning signal for the enhancement-layer image coding in full resolution. One advantage of this architecture is significantly reduced computational complexity due to eliminating the motion information compressor. In addition, we adopt a skip-mode coding technique to reduce the transmitted latent samples. The rate-distortion performance of our scheme is slightly lower than that of the state-of-the-art learned B-frame coding scheme, B-CANF, but outperforms other learned B-frame coding schemes. However, compared to B-CANF, our scheme saves 45% of multiply-accumulate operations (MACs) for encoding and 27% of MACs for decoding. The code is available at https://***.

Digital images are well-use in various fields like satellite communication, mobile communication, medical and security. Visualized information helps the people to understand the things easily by seen. Improper capturing, age of camera lens, imperfect storage and transmission leads to introduce noise in the image. Gaussian noise, salt and pepper/impulse noise and speckle noise may affect the original image due to aforementioned reasons. Out of these, impulse noise/salt and pepper noise is one of the major types, degrades the image with black and white spots it results loss of required information. Hence, restoration of ground- truth image from such type of noisy image is a challenging task to provide quality and clarity visuals to users. Several linear and non-linear methods have been proposed by researchers since more than four decades. Nonlinear methods based on;median filtering approach;adaptive median filter approach;median filter with switching condition;and median filter with rank order type;are proposed from early 1980’s onwards. All of these operated directly on pixels in spatial domain. Hence, they are very easy to implement and most of them are not that much robust at middle and higher noise density circumstances. Further, various researchers have been implemented linear methods such as wavelet transform methods like SWT and DWT. Majority of these are works well upto 50% noise density conditions and very few works well on higher and multiple noise density conditions also. To overcome these problems CNN’s based methods have been developed tremendously by various researchers from last decade and these methods require huge database to train the network model. Most of these, achieved good accuracy rates at higher and multiple noise conditions. Hence, here a detailed review report is presented on impulse noise removal methods with their Peak signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR). © 2023 IEEE.

Future communication systems are trending to embrace an open and collaborative ecology for a rising number of edge services and applications, enabling the evolutions of multiple wireless ecosystems such as the internet of things (IoT). The collaborations among multi-party IoT users, devices, and infrastructure require further designs in terms of security, trust, and efficiency. Blockchain is considered a promising solution to facilitate trusted multi-party collaborations, enhance security, and protect privacy in the IoT. However, the research on IoT-friendly blockchains is still facing a number of challenges due to the heterogeneity and limited capabilities of IoT devices. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical blockchain consensus combining practical Byzantine fault tolerance and a game-based node selection mechanism (GaS-PBFT). GaS-PBFT enables a logical two-layer consensus network structure, groups heterogeneous IoT participants into multiple collaborating consensus groups, and imposes an efficient and fair game on each group for selecting block generators of the IoT blockchains. Finally, we conduct comprehensive simulations to show the performance of the proposed GaS-PBFT consensus in terms of consensus latency, transaction speed, node capacity, and security.

Focused on the issue that detailed information of edge is easily lost in the process of image denoising, the image denoising algorithm based on edge enhancement sparse transform and low rank was proposed. Firstly, Canny algorithm was used to gain the image boundary to obtain the edge matrix, and secondly, the Non-subsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) was used to gain the multi-directional high-frequency sub-band map, and then the edge matrix was used to locate the edge position in the high-frequency sub-map. The edge sub-band coefficients were enlarged to enhance the edge to form the edge-enhanced noise image. Finally, the image was divided into image patches, then the local sparsity of image patches to sparse transform and non-local self-similarities of image patches to block match were used to achieve the purpose of image denoising. The experimental results show that, compared with K-Singular Value Decomposition (K-SVD), Group Low-Rank (GLR), Sparsifying Transform Learning and Low Rank (STROLLR), and DnCNN algorithms under different levels of noise, the proposed algorithm not only has a large improvement in the Peak signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), but also maintains clear edge details in visual effects while reducing noise. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

With the development of the internet of Things (IoT) indoor location-aware applications have become a useful tool for locating objects in enclosed spaces. One of the most significant modern advances in IoT is Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which is especially suitable for extremely low-power sensors powered by CMOS coinage battery cells. With its reasonable accuracy and low-effort setup, BLE is a suitable application for indoor tracking systems. Intermittently, the BLE nodes send out messaging packets that contain the UUID (Universally Unique Identifier). In this research, an efficient tracking system has been designed for indoor localization in hospitals. To locate patients., positions, and doctors, a BLE-enabled device has been utilized to automatically scan the area. Depending on their movement the positional updates are transmitted to the server through Wi-Fi. An efficient, lightweight server-side application has also been developed to efficiently track and manage the data. To determine the coverage across the BLE node, the quantitative coefficient of transmission strength has been utilized. After a thorough investigation at various points, it has been observed that the suggested approach shows 25.9% better accuracy than the other competing scheme which shows the effectiveness of the system. © 2024 IEEE.

The security of information is closely related to our daily life and occupies an important position. The data encryption algorithm is an indispensable element in modern life. image encryption technology is one of the more commonly used technologies and methods in contemporary networks. Since the logistic transformation is sensitive to the initial value, the paper tries to employ the Phasmatodea population evolution (PPE) algorithm to train and select an optimal appropriate initial value to improve security. After the encryption simulation experiment test, the PPE algorithm in this paper has more outstanding encryption performance among several encryption methods, has better scrambling and diffusion effects, and has improved information security.

In this paper, we propose a perceptual image hashing method based on histogram reconstruction. Our method consists of three steps, pre-processing, histogram reconstruction and hash vector generation based on the reconstructed histogram. In image pre-processing, the color image is converted to a gray one, then the gray image is standardized and the standardized image is processed with a low-pass filter. Then, we reconstruct the histogram of a gray image by using the relationship between the pixels in different groups. Finally, the hash vector is extracted from the reconstructed histogram. As the experimental results show, the proposed image hashing method is robust to most of the content-preserving operations, such as JPEG compression, noise addition and rotation. Moreover, the method proposed can effectively solve the problems in traditional histogram-based methods. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
