In this paper, we discuss optical scanning systems based on galvanometers. Such systems, widely used both in image projection and signal reading, present undesirable characteristics of signal deformation. The main idea of this work is to determine an analytical mathematical model for the scan and, consequently, its deformations and propose the implementation of corrections for these deformations in an analytical way. At the end, comparisons of scan results with and without the implemented corrections are presented.

Aiming at the problem of moving targets by the laser active imaging system, a laser active imaging technology based on random coding is proposed. The laser pulse coding is used to replace the shuttle coding exposure, combining the random coding exposure imaging technique with the active range-gated laser imaging technique. In the coded exposure mode, when imaging a moving target, the pulsed laser and ICCD image intensifier are synchronously gated based on FPGA, to obtain the encoded exposure image. And the blurred images are recovered based on LO regularization, which improves the laser active imaging quality. According to the laser active imaging theory, the image signal-to-noise ratio in pulse code modulation mode is analyzed, which shows that the pulse random coding technology can effectively improve the brightness of the imaging image, improve the image signal-to-noise ratio, and have a certain inhibitory effect on motion blur. The blurred image restoration effect under the 31-bit coding length was simulated and analyzed, and the imaging effect and applicability conditions of the typical parameter laser imaging system on moving targets under the coding pulse system were analyzed. Compared with other deblurring methods, under the condition of pulse coding accuracy of 5ns, the 31-bit coding length can achieve better blurred image restoration for the target of relative speed of 10m/s. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. As the application of internet of Things (IoT) technology in agriculture deepens, the lack of security in agricultural IoT systems has become one of the main bottlenecks restricting the development of agricultural IoT. To address the data and system security issues of agricultural IoT, this paper proposes an agricultural IoT PDRR scheme based on an improved cyber kill chain. By understanding the lifecycle of network attacks through the improved four-step cyber kill chain model, and utilizing the synergistic effects of honeypot and firewall technologies, a defense system capable of adapting to attacker behaviors and effectively disrupting the cyber kill chain is constructed. The PDRR is achieved by combining proactive and passive defense methods. Experimental results show that the agricultural IoT PDRR scheme based on the improved cyber kill chain proposed in this paper can effectively interfere with and disrupt the cyber kill chain. Moreover, compared to traditional defense methods, this scheme demonstrates significant advantages in recognizing unknown attack patterns and acquiring attack intelligence. © 2024 SPIE.

This paper briefly introduces the internet of Vehicles, 5G communication and digital twins. Aiming at the driverless tracked vehicle group developed in the earlier stage, combined with vehicle network and 5G communication, a 5G communication based vehicle networking framework for driverless tracked vehicle group is proposed. On the basis of 5G communication based unmanned tracked vehicle group internet of Vehicles framework, combined with digital twins, the digital twin framework of unmanned tracked vehicle group is proposed at two levels, and comparative analysis experiments are carried out. © 2023 SPIE.

Effective management of attendance systems is crucial for organizations seeking to streamline operations and enhance productivity. With the advent of technology, such as biometric attendance or RFID card-based systems, attendance management has become more advanced. Our proposed system, poised to provide smart attendance management by harnessing the combined power of the internet of Things (IoT) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies, offers a promising solution to these challenges. This system automates attendance recording, where RFID cards assigned to individuals are seamlessly detected by RFID readers. The data is then transferred to a cloud-based server for central processing and storage, ensuring that attendance information is readily available and allowing administrators to remotely monitor and manage attendance operations. Additionally, our system notifies students immediately when their attendance is recorded. © 2024 IEEE.

In visual research, researchers strive to understand how optical sensors capture image information and how the brain interprets and processes this information. However, natural atmospheric haze introduces serious visual challenges in images. Haze causes loss of image details, color distortion, and blurring of depth information, posing a significant challenge for many intelligent device applications. This paper combines the strengths of the Haze-line and DCP algorithms, complementing their weaknesses, to develop a method that accurately restores detailed object information in hazy images without introducing distortion or artifacts. By constraining atmospheric light, the method aims to approximate the true atmospheric light value for each pixel in the image. It involves solving the transmission twice and imposing constraints to maximize the restoration of transmission values, which often deviate significantly from real transmission rates due to differences in depth of field. Peak signal-to-noise ratio and structural similarity are used to evaluate the dehazing performance. Experimental results demonstrate that compared to other algorithms, this approach achieves effective dehazing with restored detail while minimizing distortion in the resulting hazefree images. © 2024 IEEE.

In this study, a technique for effectively removing smoke from laparoscopic video recordings—which are often negatively impacted during surgeries—using an image-to-image generative adversarial network (GAN) with a built-in guide mask derived from the dark channel is presented. Smoke from tissue dissection tools can obstruct the surgeon’s view and introduce errors into computer vision-based systems employed for clinical navigation. The GAN addresses this issue by eliminating noise while maintaining perceptually satisfactory image quality. Using the Laparoscopic Video Quality (LVQ) evaluation dataset, the method is trained and assessed. The section on experimental results provides qualitative examples demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed approach. With a larger, more diverse dataset for training and validation, further improvements are anticipated. The proposed technique generated smoke-free images and videos, surpassing previous methods. © 2024 IEEE.

In the medical field, it is extremely important to monitor the status of use and malfunction of medical equipment during its operation and management. Furthermore, keeping proper records of people's activity is necessary to ensure security. Authentication and authorization play an important role in this purpose. However, in most cases, authentication is performed by an active action of the user, which is a burden on the person in charge and often affects normal business operations. For this reason, authentication is neglected. In this study, we aim to introduce passive authentication to achieve responsibility tracking and auditability without interfering with normal operations;in particular, we report the results of a study on the introduction of passive authentication in obstetrics.

The Power Industrial internet serves as an essential platform for the digital transformation of the electric power industry, during its implementation, the integration of Information technology (IT) and Operational technology (OT) in power production and maintenance has posed significant challenges, necessitating the development of intelligent equipment based on Cyber-Physical systems (CPS) to bridge this gap. Microcomputer platforms are well-established and reliable systems capable of running various complex algorithms. However, traditional microcomputer-based protection devices face limitations such as firmware programming, limited types of signal sampling, and insufficient data transmission capabilities. In the current era of digital transformation, there is an urgent need for intelligent devices and smart terminals that can overcome these shortcomings through cloud-edge collaboration to assist the digital transformation of the power industry, continuously creating effective applications that enhance quality and efficiency, and fostering new productive forces. This article starts from the strategic orientation of industrial development, the problem orientation of digital transformation, and the demand orientation for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement. The integration of biometric-based access control systems with robust facial recognition technology within internet of Things (IoT) environments holds paramount significance in addressing contemporary security challenges. The novelty of the research endeavours to contribute to this critical area by investigating and implementing a novel approach, employing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for facial classification within the biometric framework. The significance of this study lies in its potential to enhance security measures in IoT environments, ensuring reliable and efficient access control. Previous attempts at integrating facial recognition into IoT have encountered notable challenges, including suboptimal accuracy, vulnerability to adversarial attacks, and scalability issues. This research builds upon these prior issues by introducing CNN for facial classification, leveraging its capabilities in image processing and pattern recognition to achieve enhanced accuracy and resilience against potential security threats. The novelty of the study is underscored by the application of CNN within the biometric context of IoT, offering a cutting-edge solution tailored to the intricacies of interconnected devices. Experiments conducted on benchmark datasets showcase the promising capabilities of the proposed system, with face recognition accuracies reaching an impressive 98%. These results underscore the potential of this research to significantly advance the state-of-the-art in biometric-based access control, particularly within the context of IoT environments. The utilization of CNN introduces a pioneering element, contributing to the evolution of secure and efficient access control solutions in the era of IoT. © 2024 IEEE.
