Surveillance systems have been becoming an essential part of restricted areas, industries, organizations, and homes for automation as well as security purposes. Nowadays, a variety of surveillance systems are available in the market with motion detection (video) or human detection (image) facilities. But, the installation of such surveillance systems will cost huge amounts, and traditional CCTV cameras can only record live video. In this work, a prototype of the hardware and software implementation of the cam motion alert has been developed using Espressif's latest microcontroller ESP32. internet of Things (IoT) is an ongoing development of the internet by which everyday 'things' objects have communication capabilities that allow them to send and receive data. This article presents a lowcost prototype of the smart monitoring system developed by using a motion-triggered image-capturing technology and a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor. The motion trigger and alert camera consist of a motion sensor along with a vibration sensor that captures images using an ESP32 cam module. The PIR sensor detects a slight movement, immediately it wakes up the ESP32 cam, which will capture the human image and send it to an authentic telegram account anywhere in the world using a continuous Wi-Fi connection. © 2023 IEEE.

internet of Things (IoT) enables connectivity and interoperability between users' devices, systems, services, networks, and especially control systems. Smart video surveillance is an IOT application as it uses the internet for a variety of functions. IOT-based Intruder Detection System (IDS) is the latest technology used in a wide range of places. It serves as a remote eye for the security force. In the existing technique, the AdaBoost algorithm needs a quality data set. And also, noisy data and outliershave to be avoided before adopting this algorithm. So, in this study, machine learning techniques such as the Haar-Cascade and local binary pattern histogram algorithms are used to overcome the above disadvantage to clearly detect the face. The camera module captures an image of a person as soon as the smart home switch is pressed, sends the still image to the Android device through the Telegram app, and alerts the owner about the person who is trying to enter through the door. The entire systems programming has been established in Python and Embedded C for a controller. © 2023 IEEE.

Synchronisation of Fractional-order Non-linear systems can be used by incorporating additional security attributes. In this work, a Recurrent Neural network with Backstepping controller is designed used for synchronizing two identical non-linear fractional-order chaotic systems in master-slave configuration. The controller is split into two parts. One is designed at the sender's end and the other at receiver section to obtain synchronisation between Master and Slave systems. Also, two signals are transmitted in which one has message signal embedded in it and the other is a complicated combination of master states which is used for synchronisation purpose at the receiver end so that information signal can be recovered. A complex key set is designed with system parameters, fractional orders, initial conditions, so that no intruder can decode the message signal and receiver system should also know the keyset. The efficacy of the proposed scheme is demonstrated with the help of results presented in the end. © 2024 IEEE.

The requirement to protect the authenticity and accuracy of images motivates the implementation of water-marking on these images. Any alteration or interference with medical images might lead to erroneous diagnosis or treatment, as these images are vital for diagnosing and tracking diseases. Moreover, these photographs are regularly transmitted across the internet, increasing the potential for unauthorized access and alteration. Therefore, medical image watermarking is essential to safeguard the reliability and accuracy of these medical images in research and clinical environments. This paper presents a framework of a highly safe and reliable dual watermarking technique that utilizes the NSST-Radon transform to improve medical data security. The ultimate watermarked image is created by incorporating fingerprint and patient information into a medical image, resulting in dual watermarking. After embedding, the final watermarked image is compressed and encrypted to add a security layer. Moreover, our approach uses the best scaling factor to manage the robustness and imperceptibility tradeoffs. The experimental results indicate that the suggested approach demonstrates exceptional overall performance, a high level of imperceptibility, and resilience. The proposed scheme uses dual watermarking to safeguard original medical and non-medical images. The experimental and comparison results show that this strategy produces superior results with remarkable resilience, invisibility, and capacity. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid development of autonomous driving technology, the autonomous driving ability of vehicles has become an important research direction in intelligent transportation systems. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) has become one of the core technologies in autonomous driving vision systems due to its excellent performance in image recognition and classification. Embedded systems also play an important role in the realization of autonomous vehicle driving due to their high efficiency and real-time nature. In this study, a vehicle autonomous driving scheme based on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and embedded system is proposed. Firstly, the convolutional neural network was used to perform real-time image processing and feature extraction on the road scene. Specifically, through the superposition of multi-layer convolutional layers and pooling layers, features such as edges, textures, and objects in the image are extracted layer by layer, so as to achieve efficient recognition of complex road environments. In this process, the convolutional layer is used to extract local features, while the pooling layer is used to reduce dimensionality and prevent overfitting to ensure the robustness and efficiency of the model. Secondly, an embedded system was designed and optimized, and the trained CNN model was deployed on the system to ensure real-time processing power and efficient energy consumption management. The design of the embedded system focuses on the optimal allocation of hardware resources and the effective control of energy consumption to meet the real-time operation needs of vehicles under different road conditions. Specifically, the embedded system uses high-performance processors and low-power hardware modules to ensure fast inference and real-time decision-making capabilities of CNN models. In addition, the overall performance and reliability of the system are further improved through the co-design of software and hardware. Combining the above two techn

The laboratory, as a research base for university students, is becoming increasingly important to manage. With the development of technology, intelligent laboratory management systems have become a trend. Therefore, how to implement a fast and accurate laboratory management system has become a key issue. To solve these problems, this paper constructs a preliminary laboratory personnel counting system based on the improved YOLOv9 target detection algorithm. The following research work has been done in this paper: The important downsampling part ADown in YOLOv9 is improved, and the convolution module SPD-Conv for low-resolution image detection is combined, which improves the detection effect of YOLOv9 in low-resolution scenes. A laboratory personnel entry and exit counting system is designed. By dividing the entrance line, the statistics of the laboratory entry and exit personnel are achieved. When the number of laboratory personnel returns to 0, an alarm reminder can be given. © 2024 SPIE.

Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) provides a powerful guarantee for the accurate identification of various targets due to its rich spectral and spatial information. Anomaly detection, a significant application of HSI, is inevitably affected by noise during the imaging process. To achieve effective HSI anomaly detection in complex environments, this paper propose minimum noise fraction (MNF) and tensor low-rank anomaly detection by replacing principal component analysis (PCA) in PCA-tensor low-rank and sparse representation (TLRSR) with MNF as a preprocessing step. Experimental tests using real hyperspectral data demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively reduce noise in HSIs and significantly enhance the anomaly detection accuracy. © 2024 SPIE.

The indoor imaging visible light positioning (VLP) technology based on the image sensor (IS) utilizes existing indoor lighting infrastructure to provide high-precision indoor positioning services. However, due to the high complexity of traditional image processing algorithms, existing VLP systems are unable to provide real-time positioning services. In response to the above issue, we propose an image processing mechanism based on the inter-frame color feature matching method, which includes the equidistant sampling processing, low complexity decoding algorithm, and color feature matching-based LED region of interest (ROI) determination method. The results show that the system average positioning delay is 80.2ms, indicating better system real-time performance. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to solve the problems of 'digital signal processing', such as many common knowledge points, difficult teaching, difficult visual teaching, and so on, a software platform for 'signal processing' open teaching is built based on Visual C++6.0. This system is to cooperate with the teaching content of CIM, but also to improve the practical ability of students, so that they can more easily and quickly understand some of the more complex digital signal theory. The timing of the beam position signal is optimized based on the existing down sampling method, and the digital AGC and slow application signal processing modules are completed. We need to get turn-by-turn, quick application, and track closing data simultaneously. The experiment shows that the system can obtain the multi-frequency position information including the actual running state well. The advantages of this system are easy to control parameters, easy to use, and strong expansibility. This project plans to further improve the system in the future research work so as to achieve better teaching and practical application purposes. © 2024 IEEE.
