The development of Indoor Positioning systems (IPS) is being catalyzed by the growing influence of the internet of Things (IoT). In the field of indoor positioning, balancing low cost and high precision has always been a challenging task. Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology stands out for high precision but comes with higher costs, while Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), on the other hand, is costeffective but faces challenges in signal stability. Therefore, this study explores the integration of BLE and UWB, presenting an innovative approach aimed at enhancing the accuracy of indoor positioning while maintaining cost-effectiveness. The proposed approach leverages BLE trilateration for initial solutions and optimizes coordinates through network adjustment using UWB distance observations between neighboring users, achieving more stable and accurate indoor positioning. The experiments conducted with varying user counts demonstrate that UWB adjustments outperform Bluetooth adjustments and trilateration, significantly improving positioning accuracy by up to 65% of trilateration. The results highlight the potential of this integrated approach to overcome challenges in indoor positioning systems, offering a more robust and precise solution.

Fake news and its dissemination are growing more popular as social media becomes more pervasive in our daily lives and Facebook users are particularly vulnerable. Numerous studies on detecting fake news have already been published. However, a study focusing on fake news in low resource languages like Bengali propagated through Facebook is rare due to data extraction challenges. In this paper, we work with fake news in the Bengali language and used various supervised machine learning algorithms to classify Facebook posts as fake, real, or satire and found XGBoost to generate the best outputs. Instead of the content, we trained our model with the interaction data of the posts to make it resilient against adversarial attacks. We observed that ensemble methods perform well with such social media metrics.

The Federated Learning (FL) approach can be exploited to build a solution to data sparsity and privacy protection issues (e.g., utilization of user-sensitive data) in Quality of Experience (QoE) modelling. In this paper, we investigate whether it is possible to obtain improvements in FL-based inference by grouping data sources to build separate inference systems. To this, we adopted an experimental based approach: firstly, we identified different clusters of users, from a public QoE dataset, based on user-related QoE influence factors and the distributions of the quality rating scores provided by the users;secondly, we developed a Cluster-based FL QoE predictor and conducted experimental tests to compare the QoE prediction performance with that obtained by a centralised learning approach and a standard FL approach. The obtained results show that the proposed approach achieved the best QoE prediction performance (in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-Score), followed respectively by the standard FL and the centralised approach.

This paper presents the design of a monolithically integrated Gallium Nitride (GaN)-IC gate driver based on Enhancement-mode p-GaN HEMT technology. The design uses 650V GaN-on-SOI Process Designing Kit (PDK). The design complexity of this technology lies in the absence of p-type devices. Consequently, Resistor-Transistor Logic (RTL) inverters and Push-Pull Buffers are introduced instead of a complementary logic. To effectively handle the power device (650V/10A) switching, the gate driver is sized to achieve 7V in the output. To validate the performance of the proposed gate driver, transistor-level and post-layout simulations are carried out considering an input signal of 2MHz. Turn-on/turn-off time (3.77ns/2.32ns), overall circuit efficiency (99.3%) and temperature variation effects are analysed.
