In order to secure internet of Things (IoT) devices, this research has developed a revolutionary lightweight encryption method that draws inspiration from the concepts of DNA. Our approach incorporates secret code utilization, SHA-256 hashing, and harnesses the inherent randomness of DNA sequences to generate robust keys resistant to attacks and difficult to decipher. A fundamental aspect of cryptography, the avalanche effect, is crucially addressed, ensuring that even minor alterations in plaintext produce vastly distinct ciphertext, thereby thwarting pattern recognition by potential attackers. Through comprehensive experimentation, the proposed algorithm has demonstrated exceptional performance across key metrics including key size, encryption speed, resistance to deformation, and efficacy of the avalanche effect, outperforming conventional encryption methods.

Real-time teleoperation of robotic systems over the internet is a desirable technology in many ways. Latency of the video feedback has been hampering its development. This paper takes the application of remote driving to introduce an unconventional codec that provides a very low latency for internet-based video streaming. The proposed method preserves just enough information in the video for essential perception and decision-making of a remote driver. Thanks to a unique integration of several image processing and data streaming techniques, the proposed codec can realize a glass-to-glass latency of around 90ms. A series of tests are conducted over the real consumer internet to analyze the latency and verify the effectiveness of remote driving with the proposed codec.

The inter-protocol communication system acts as an interface and is the link where problems of communication may occur. This paper is dedicated to exploring wireless communication through the ZigBee system, which offers short-range communication and supports mesh networks. ZigBee plays a pivotal role in wireless sensor network (WSN) and their related applications. Nevertheless, the WSN can be linked to the internet system through several approaches, but this study focuses on the connection through a gateway (GW) using Narrowband internet of Things (NB-IoT) technology, which is particular to the IoT system. The GW testing has been performed to measure the data transfer rate and received signal strength indicator (RSSI) for detecting the limits of the system. Our WSN consisted of 8 nodes and this was more than twice the number of the XBee buffer that was capable of receiving packets simultaneously. In addition, GW devices have been installed in the different types of enclosures to determine the signal levels for future real installation guidelines.
