This paper presents a hybrid pixel-based background (HPB) model, which is constructed by single stable record and multi-layer astable records after initial learning. The image foreground object detection must face the problems of moving background, illumination changes, chaotic, etc. in real word applications. In our approach, the HPB model can be used for background subtraction to extract objects precisely in various complex scenes. Using the multi-layer astable records, we also propose the homogeneous background subtraction that can detect the foreground object with less record memory. based on the benchmark videos, the experimental results show that single stable and 3-layer multi-layer astable records can be enough for background model construction and then updated quickly to overcome the background variation. The proposed approach can improve the averages Error Rate of foreground object detection up to 86% when comparing with the latest works.

Universal steganalysis detect the presence of secret messages. In this paper, we proposed a new methodology which will be created different groups of images based on image features as an unsupervised learning and proposed methodology can enable us to design specific models of steganalyzer in order to improve system accuracy. These models will be differentiated all the infected JPEG images from the rest of JPEG images as a supervised learning. In the current steganalysis systems, all images with different statistical properties are treated equally but in our method, we can distinguish between images to build better steganalyzers. For this purpose, we have used fuzzy clustering algorithm to construct images models specific in the training phase and have also used fuzzy decision making strategy to predict the class label of test data in the comparison phase. The above features focused on DCT statistics and could be used to distinguish between images. We have employed Large Scale Support Vector Machines (SVMs) to design our models. Experiments confirm the advantage of the proposed method over the current steganalysis systems.

image fusion is basically a process where multiple images (more than one) are combined to form a single resultant fused image. This fused image is more productive as compared to its original input images. The fusion technique in medical images is useful for resourceful disease diagnosis purpose. This paper illustrates different multimodality medical image fusion techniques and their results assessed with various quantitative metrics. Firstly two registered images CT (anatomical information) and MRI-T2 (functional information) are taken as input. Then the fusion techniques are applied onto the input images such as Mamdani type minimum-sum-mean of maximum (MIN-SUM-MOM) and Redundancy Discrete Wavelet Transform (RDWT) and the resultant fused image is analyzed with quantitative metrics namely Over all Cross Entropy(OCE), Peak signal -to- Noise Ratio (PSNR), signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), Structural Similarity Index(SSIM), Mutual Information(MI). From the derived results it is inferred that Mamdani type MIN-SUM-MOM is more productive than RDWT and also the proposed fusion techniques provide more information compared to the input images as justified by all the metrics.

In this paper, a Dynamic Stochastic Resonance (DSR)-based robust watermark extraction technique has been presented in combined DWT-SVD domain. The singular values of grayscale watermark image have been embedded in the singular values of the approximation sub-band of audio signal, obtained after DWT decomposition. DSR has been used in the extraction process to improve the authenticity of the extracted watermark by utilizing the noise or degradation introduced during different signal processing attacks. DSR is an iterative process that tunes the coefficients of a possibly attacked watermarked audio signal so that effect of noise is suppressed and hidden information is enhanced. An adaptive optimization procedure has been adopted for selection of bistable parameters to achieve maximum correlation coefficient between original and extracted watermark to ensure minimum computational complexity. Resilience of this technique has been tested in presence of various signal processing attacks like amplification, zero-cross, exchange, smooth, stat, add dynamic noise and cut-sample. Using the proposed technique, a robust extraction of watermark is achieved without trading-off the audibility of audio signal. Comparison with plain DWT-SVD-based technique suggests that the proposed DSR-based audio watermarking scheme gives remarkably better performance in terms of correlation between original and extracted watermarks.

Watermarking is the process of hiding a predefined pattern or logo into multimedia like image, audio or video in a way that quality and imperceptibility of media is preserved. Predefined pattern or logo represents the identification of the author. In recent years, rapid growth in digital multimedia has been noticed. Digital videos are widely exchanged on the internet with great ease and monetary involvement, thus the security of video is main concern in todays digital world. H.264 is currently proposed standard for low bit rate video applications. H.264 provides high quality than any other previous standards with implementation of integer transformation. The proposed algorithm has been implemented for video with Integer based Discrete Cosine Transform for higher speed and low complexity. The blind algorithm based on scene change detection scheme has been implemented and verified to check robustness against temporal as well as some standard attacks. The algorithm has been implemented on VIRTEX-4 FPGA board and results evident the fact of the watermarking algorithm being efficient in terms of low complexity and high speed.

For the purpose of obtaining high-resolution staring image of ground targets by high-altitude imaging platforms, this paper proposes a super-resolution imaging approach based on random radiation radar array by combining random signal radiation and correlated imaging. Firstly, this super-resolution imaging principles are analyzed, and the definition of temporal-spatial stochastic characteristics of the radiating electromagnetic field on the target space are presented, and on this basis, the super-resolution imaging potentiality of random radiation radar array is demonstrated theoretically beyond the limitation of antenna aperture. Then the imaging model of stochastic radiation radar array is founded. The influences of random signals and the spatial configuration of the radar array (number of array elements and array aperture) on stochastic characteristics of the radiation field are discussed in detail. Finally, the imaging simulations are performed and the results show that random radiation radar array can improve its resolution by more than 20 times compared with a real aperture radar array with the same size.

In this paper, a CMOS interface circuit as part of an optical sensor-based microsystem for pH monitoring applications is presented. The proposed circuit is capable of processing a voltage signal produced by the light transducer and generating 8-bit digital outputs representing the color information (i.e. wavelength). A resolution of 8 different colors has been achieved as a proof of concept and can easily be extended to a higher number of colors without a major modification in the architecture. The proposed interface circuit is a mixed-signal solution that consists of analog as well as digital building blocks along with a light transducer. It can be used as a portable and non-intrusive optical sensor for biomedical and environmental sensing applications.

In the future of display technology, laser display with its realistic display effect has drawn attention of people all over the world. In order to make the exiting color signal and laser display compatible, the existing color signal must be converted into laser color gamut. This paper according to the trait of laser display, makes the Xilinx System Generator as the foundation, uses the modularized way to realize the gamut conversion from the existing display color gamut to the laser color gamut. System Generator generated IP Core which is easy to transplantation and modification and getting software and hardware collaborative simulation results through the Xilinx FPGA development platform.

Spotlight SAR accumulates large Doppler bandwidth to improve azimuth resolution. On condition of certain pulse reputation frequency (PRF), Doppler bandwidth accumulates at the cost of imaging scene. This is a classic tradeoff between azimuth resolution and scene size in spotlight mode. A novel algorithm is proposed here to break the restriction. Firstly, a deramping based method is presented through bulk data processing to finish azimuth Fourier transform under low PRF. Omega-k algorithm is then applied to focus the full image. This algorithm is free of classic restriction and requires PRF only larger than the instantaneous bandwidth. Its bulk data processing is efficiency with no sub-aperture or interpolation. In this case, this algorithm is qualified to wide scene spotlight SAR imaging. The effectiveness of this algorithm is demonstrated by point target simulation.

Recognizing persons over a system of disjunct cameras is a hard task for human operators and even harder for automated systems. In particular, realistic setups show difficulties such as different camera angles or different camera properties. Additionally, also the appearance of exactly the same person can change dramatically due to different views (e.g., frontal/back) of carried objects. In this paper, we mainly address the first problem by learning the transition from one camera to the other. This is realized by learning a Mahalanobis metric using pairs of labeled samples from different cameras. Building on the ideas of Large Margin Nearest Neighbor classification, we obtain a more efficient solution which additionally provides much better generalization properties. To demonstrate these benefits, we run experiments on three different publicly available datasets, showing state-of-the-art or even better results, however, on much lower computational efforts. This is in particular interesting since we use quite simple color and texture features, whereas other approaches build on rather complex image descriptions!
