In wireless laser communication systems, beam acquiring, pointing, and tracking (APT) technology is the key to establishing and maintaining a laser communication link. In order to solve the problem that the capture cameras used in APT systems usually have a small field of view and are inefficient in scanning the uncertain area and capturing the target spot, which leads to the inability to precisely locate the spot position, an image processing-based omnidirectional laser communication spot image detection technology solution is designed under the condition of using a large field of view of the capture camera, which has the characteristics of strong anti-interference capability and high detection accuracy. Firstly, the block design was simulated on matlab platform, and then the APT system of omnidirectional laser communication was built based on the panoramic camera with large field of view and two-dimensional turntable to verify the scheme. The scheme is implemented in 0.1° steps to sample the laser spot within 180° of the horizontal and tilt directions and obtain the spot coordinates. The spot position information is sent to the two-dimensional turntable through the serial port, and the 0.1° pointing of the turntable to the laser light source is accomplished, which verifies the feasibility and accuracy of the system solution. © 2023 SPIE.

In order to solve the problem of fire detection in the heat exchange station, an intelligent fire early warning system based on image analysis is proposed, which realizes the network, digital and intelligent design of video monitoring system. This paper introduces the framework of the platform and the functional structure of each subsystem, gives the overall structure diagram of the system, focuses on the basic algorithm of background modeling, flame segmentation and morphological filtering in the fire identification and analysis module, and puts forward the design scheme and workflow of the alarm and linkage module. Experiments show that the system has low complexity and good real-time performance, which can improve the efficiency of fire emergency command in heat exchange station and meet the actual requirements of heating security. © 2024 SPIE.

With the rapid advancement of information technology, the modern battlefield is characterized by a highly complex electromagnetic environment. Radar radiation sources exhibit wide-ranging parameter variations and strong random characteristics, presenting formidable challenges to the signal selection of radar radiation sources in missile-borne countermeasure systems. This paper addresses the issue of reliable identification and selection of radar source signals by on-board countermeasures systems. Through the analysis of source signal characteristics, the Smooth Pseudo Wigner-Ville Distribution (SPWVD) method is employed for time-frequency analysis to extract the time-frequency features of the source signals. Furthermore, a lightweight network based on SqueezeNet is implemented to achieve high-precision source signal selection. The results demonstrate that, when the SNR of the source signals is greater than 0dB, the network model achieves a recognition accuracy above 94.59%. The selection accuracy is comparable to that of the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), thereby meeting the requirements of on-board countermeasure systems for reliable selection of radar source signals. The analysis confirms that under low signal-to-noise ratio conditions, noise significantly affects the network's selection accuracy by impacting the time-frequency clarity of the modulation signals. © 2023 SPIE.

Integrating convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with the internet of Things (IoT) is paramount in agriculture, particularly greenhouses. By leveraging IoT capabilities, operators can collect agro-environmental information inside the greenhouse based on installed sensor nodes. This data-driven approach minimizes water, fertilizer, and energy waste. Simul-taneously, CNNs enhance the monitoring systems by facilitating early detection and classification of crop diseases. Our research proposes a comprehensive solution: an online technology platform for intelligent greenhouses based on IoT and CNNs. This platform effectively collects environmental and physical variables and detects diseases in real time using image-based analysis. The results of our study demonstrate that the system architecture is a reliable IoT platform, leading to significant energy savings. Moreover, the disease identification accuracy and classification process achieved an impressive rate of over 98 %, ensuring the system's efficacy in identifying and categorizing diseases. Additionally, the system exhibits a recall rate of over 90 %, indicating its ability to identify and recall crop disease instances accurately. © 2024 IEEE.

image processing and style transfer techniques have evolved rapidly with advances in deep learning, especially in Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). This study explores the effectiveness of Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN)-based style transfer techniques on animal image datasets. The popular DCNN architectures VGG16 and VGG19 were investigated and compared for their performance in transferring artistic styles to animal images. This study used three types of animal images as content images: wolf animals, dogs, and cats. This process includes image preprocessing, model architecture, and model optimization using an ascending gradient algorithm. Evaluation is performed quantitatively using Peak signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) metrics to measure the similarity of the output image with the content and style images. Results showed performance variations between VGG16 and VGG19. For wolf and dog images, VGG19 showed higher PSNR and SSIM values. However, for cat images, VGG16 produced better PSNR and SSIM values. This difference indicates that the effectiveness of the model may vary depending on the type of animal image being processed. This research provides new insights into the effectiveness of DCNN architectures in performing style transfer on animal images and may contribute to the development of future digital art and creative design applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Data security has become more crucial to individuals from all walks of life as a result of the current advancements in communication engineering and the widespread use of the internet. Numerous communication protocols with high levels of security are now in use. There are also critical management, user identity recognition, and secret image encoding, and random number requirements for various applications. Compared to figures that were shown to be pseudorandom, true random numbers offered more irregular number patterns in the form of codes with significant advances (PRNs). Sensitivity to initial circumstances, unpredictability, and periodicity are the hallmarks of chaos. These predictions line up with the development of TRN generating techniques in the chaotic sector. In order to provide a thorough assessment of chaos-based TRNGs, this overview research seeks to address these concerns. The formation of True Random Numbers depends on two types of chaotic systems: uninterrupted chaotic systems and separate time chaotic systems. To help researchers choose the ways and difficulties that best suit their requirements or goals, the fundamental procedures and difficulties are presented. The evaluation of existing methods emphasizes both their contributions, their significance to the subject. Additionally, consider TRNGs for this issue that are based on current-mode chaos in a portion of the research. Lastly, quantitative results are shown. Explanation of the results for the strategies outlined in the previous sentence once they have been put to use. Finally, the purpose of this study is to present some hypotheses for future research that may be more beneficial in various applications and lead to the creation of novel chaos-based TRNGs. © 2023 IEEE.

The acoustic channel in ice-covered water largely limits the transmission capacity and performance of the communication signals. Spread spectrum systems have stable performance and strong resistance to multipath interference, which can effectively cope with the interference caused by the ocean environment on signal propagation. Nevertheless, traditional direct-sequence spread spectrum systems have a low communication rate. This paper focuses on the research of an M-Ary spread spectrum communication system in ice-covered water based on energy monitoring technology. It explores a robust underwater acoustic communication system that can exponentially improve information transmission capacity and bandwidth utilization. The communication encoding mode is validated in an ice-covered underwater acoustic outfield experiment, achieving zero error code transmission. With the rapid development of the internet and information technology, the traditional encryption methods suffer from drawbacks such as poor processing capacity and low security, making them vulnerable to attacks. This paper presents a hybrid encryption algorithm that combines the Lorenz chaotic system and the generalized Arnold transform to enhance information security and confidentiality in digital images. The proposed quantum encryption scheme involves two stages: interfering with pixel coordinate information and grayscale values using the generalized Arnold transform, followed by spatial domain scrambling of pixel positions using the Lorenz chaotic system. MATLAB simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of this algorithm in achieving the desired confusion and diffusion of pixel values, making it a superior encryption method for cryptography. © 2025 SPIE.

The integrated detection and jamming signal, which can realize radar detection and jamming functions at the same time, is an important research content of multifunctional RF systems. In this paper, we propose an integrated detection and jamming signal with convolution modulation of LFM signal. This integrated signal can form coherent smart noise jamming to the enemy and achieve radar detection by deconvolution and matched filtering of the echo signal. By optimizing the convolution sequence, the performance of the integrated signal after deconvolution and matched filtering is similar to or even better than that of the original LFM signal. Finally, the simulation results verify the performance of the integrated signal. © 2023 IEEE.
