Microstrip patch antennas are more popular because of its advantages compared to other types like size, weight, cost and conformability. This paper presents a novel star shaped patch design is proposed to improve the bandwidth and also introduces triband radiation for microstrip antenna for satellite applications. The designed antenna used for C, X and Ku-band applications resonating at 5.3 GHz, 11 GHz, and 17 GHz simultaneously. To achieve tri band resonance a partially reflected star shaped surfaces are introduced. The total dimension of 25 x 25 mm 2 with substrate dielectric constant as 2.2 with 1.6mm thickness, and the antenna model contains truncated rectangular patch along with four star-shaped radiators. The antenna model is simulated using Computer simulation Technology (CST) software. Through analysis and simulation, the designed antenna demonstrates excellent return loss characteristics of -25.0dB, -13.0dB, and -17dB at the respective frequency bands. This indicates strong impedance matching and the compact size and lightweight nature of the microstrip antenna make it suitable for integration into various communication and satellite systems.

In the current digital dispensation, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) fronts itself as key to the user experiences across all the other technological platforms. Human-Computer Interaction will continue rising to the fore with rapid advancements experienced in technology and demand for seamless interactions between man and machine growing. Adaptive interfaces have been designed to meet the manifold demands and preferences of users, with the sole aim of improving the overall user experience. This paper thus goes further to try and understand the importance of adaptive interfaces within the domain of HCI toward improving user experience. How do adaptive interfaces optimally change their behavior with user inputs, context, and other determining factors to optimize a user’s interaction with the system. It synthesizes prior knowledge and extracts main principles and methodologies of adaptive interface design from an extensive literature review. The basic ideas of adaptive interfaces and their roles in HCI are described. The theory could be, in return, a guide for the designers and developers for the efficient use of the adaptive techniques to develop interfaces more in accordance with users. It further explores several adaptive approaches based on advanced context-awareness, user modeling, and machine learning algorithms, and their implication on HCI. It further outlines various case studies and examples in their respective application domains, from web browsing to mobile applications and assistive technology, showing adaptive interfaces in use.

Existing Deep Learning (DL) frameworks typically do not provide ready-to-use solutions for robotics, where very specific learning, reasoning, and embodiment problems exist. Their relatively steep learning curve and the different methodologies employed by DL compared to traditional approaches, along with the high complexity of DL models, which often leads to the need of employing specialized hardware accelerators, further increase the effort and cost needed to employ DL models in robotics. Also, most of the existing DL methods follow a static inference paradigm, as inherited by the traditional computer vision pipelines, ignoring active perception, which can be employed to actively interact with the environment in order to increase perception accuracy. In this paper, we present the Open Deep Learning Toolkit for Robotics (OpenDR). OpenDR aims at developing an open, non-proprietary, efficient, and modular toolkit that can be easily used by robotics companies and research institutions to efficiently develop and deploy AI and cognition technologies to robotics applications, providing a solid step towards addressing the aforementioned challenges. We also detail the design choices, along with an abstract interface that was created to overcome these challenges. This interface can describe various robotic tasks, spanning beyond traditional DL cognition and inference, as known by existing frameworks, incorporating openness, homogeneity and robotics-oriented perception e.g., through active perception, as its core design principles.

The integration of Generative Artificial Intelli-gence (GAI) into Digital Twins (DTs) marks a revolutionary stride in the evolution of virtual replicas for physical systems. This paper explores the cutting-edge advancements brought about by the incorporation of GAI technologies, specifically Large Language Models (LLMs), into DTs. These technologies herald a significant transformation, propelling DTs beyond their current capabilities to become more dynamic, predictive, and interactive tools that can simulate complex scenarios and anticipate future conditions with remarkable accuracy. By systematically examining the levels of GAI integration within DTs, this study delves into the methodologies and strategies for embedding AI capabilities into these virtual models. It outlines how GAI can enhance the functionality of DTs, enabling them to generate synthetic datasets, simulate unprecedented events, and provide actionable insights with LLM-based agents for decision-making. Furthermore, the paper highlights the extended applications of DTs, enriched by GAI, across various domains such as healthcare, urban planning, and beyond. The implications of this integration for operational efficiency, innovation, and decision-making processes are profound. By offering a comprehensive overview of the current state of technology and projecting future trends, this paper aims to provide stakeholders with a deep understanding of the syner-gistic potential between GAI and DTs. It sets the stage for a new era of DT technologies, where the boundaries of what can be achieved with virtual models are continually expanding.

This paper proposes a wide-range current transformer structure with adaptively adjustable air gap length. The length of the air gap of the iron core of this structure can be automatically adjusted with the current harmonic ratio of the secondary side of the current transformer, so that the current transformer has good anti-saturation characteristics;on the other hand, the output voltage value of the detection winding can be adjusted after proportional calculation. The secondary side current is compensated to ensure the accuracy of its measurement. At the end of the article, the structure of the current transformer is simulated and analyzed. The calculation results show that the measurement error of the secondary side current after compensation can reach the design requirements of the 0.2-level standard current transformer during the change of the primary current from 100% to 350%. This structure can effectively broaden the range of the current transformer and improve its measurement accuracy. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In the current era, the exponential rise in security threats is a significant concern, extending beyond the realm of the Internet of Things (IoT). The data being transferred and stored requires a robust encryption and decryption mechanism. The existing system utilizes the SHA algorithm and various encryption methods to secure image data. However, with the evolution of next-generation networks, quantum techniques pose a potential threat to decrypting existing cryptographic methodologies. These quantum techniques can extract data from the internet today and process it in the future. To address this looming cybersecurity challenge, this paper proposes a novel technique—a post-quantum cryptographic method designed to withstand quantum attacks in the near future. Specifically, the paper introduces a wavelength multiplexing embedded post-quantum technique capable of encrypting multiple high-resolution Millimeter-wave images. Each image, representing a pixel value of 4160 horizontally and 3120 vertically, contributes to the overall security of the method. The proposed wavelength multiplexing method is compared with the BBM92 protocol in terms of processing speed, confidentiality, integrity, and nonrepudiation. Post quantum cryptographic method works in the quantum computers are fast, reliable in qubits ensures authentication, verify the identity of a system in IOT networks make the scope to support the future networks working in quantum environment and simulation environment shows a promising result in terms of encrypt time, and sum rate of the cryptographic system models.

As emerging technologies for power grids dominated by renewable energy, grid-forming (GFM) inverters, as well as the motor-generator pair (MGP), were proposed to enhance the inertia, damping, and system strength. Although some researches have been conducted on the transient stability of GFM inverters and MGPs, the dynamics of grid-connected generators can be dictated by the bulk power system. As a result, the stability of a stand-alone grid with mixed GFM generators should be thoroughly investigated. To fulfill this gap, first, this paper adopts a component connection method (CCM) for modeling a standalone grid integrated with multiple generators; second, the models of synchronous generators (SGs), grid-following (GFL) inverters, GFM inverters, and MGPs are studied in detail; then, the full-order state-space models of four systems with interconnected generators are built in this paper, and the simulation models are established to verify the effectiveness of the parameters; finally, the small-signal dynamics of different grids and interactions between GFM and traditional generators are fully examined.

The transition to fully automated inspection, maintenance, and repair operations in the subsea production system domain necessitates the development of new methodologies to ensure the accessibility and operability of autonomous underwater intervention drones (UIDs). This paper presents an innovative approach to enhancing the techniques for simulation of free-flying UIDs through the integration of 3Dsimulated access checks, operational experience, technology insights, and a gaming engine. This approach provides operators with improved capabilities to simulate and plan for the life cycle operations of UIDs,including navigation between tasks. Using an advanced game engine to simulate the subsea environment, including water turbidity and optical dispersion in water, the novel technique combines traditional remotely operated vehicle access study simulation with mathematical modeling of the properties of free-space optics (FSO). This gives the user a live view of not only physical vehicle accessibility to perform specified subsea intervention tasks but also a view of how the subsea WiFi communication system will enable those interventions and navigation between tasks. Among the various technologies available for subsea wireless communication, FSO offers a promising solution for high-speed communication via light propagation through free space. During the UID studies conducted as part of this development, acoustics-based communication was evaluated, and a comparison between acoustics and FSO is presented, as a key element of a subsea network. Although the simulation method and mathematical model to best represent subsea WiFi communication are still under development, the findings from these simulations offer valuable insights into optimizing network performance, reducing deployment costs, and mitigating potential risks in UID operations.
