Brain tumor segmentation is a critical task in medical imaging, essential for accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring of gliomas, including high-grade and lower-grade gliomas. The Brain Tumor Segmentation (BraTS) challenges, held annually from 2017 to 2022, have significantly advanced the field by providing standardized datasets, evaluation frameworks, and fostering innovation in segmentation methodologies. In review examines the progression of BraTS challenges, highlighting key developments in data complexity, tasks, and evaluation metrics. Starting with BraTS 2017, which introduced standardized segmentation tasks and datasets with 285 subjects, subsequent iterations expanded the dataset size to 1,251 subjects by 2021 and introduced survival prediction tasks, advanced preprocessing, and enhanced segmentation algorithms. Each iteration addressed the unique challenges posed by LGG, such as diffuse boundaries and infiltrative patterns, by adopting cutting-edge architectures like 3D U-Net, nnU-Net, and Transformer-based models. These advancements have improved segmentation accuracy, robustness, and generalizability across diverse clinical settings. The review underscores the transformative role of the BraTS challenges in shaping the future of brain tumor segmentation, bridging the gap between research innovations and practical clinical applications.

Building on our previous work, this paper investigates the effectiveness of interpolating control (IC) for real-time trajectory tracking. Unlike prior studies that focused on trajectory tracking itself or UAV stabilization control in simulation, we evaluate the performance of a modified extended IC (eIC) controller compared to Model Predictive Control (MPC) through both simulated and laboratory experiments with a UAV. The evaluation focuses on the computational efficiency and control quality of real-time UAV trajectory tracking compared to previous IC applications. The results demonstrate that the eIC controller achieves competitive performance compared to MPC while significantly reducing computational complexity, making it a promising alternative for resource-constrained platforms.

The recent integration of neural networks into the domain of direction of arrival estimation marks a promising fron-tier in the landscape of next-generation wireless communications. Our paper meticulously delves into the architecture of the proposed deep convolutional neural network (DCNN), presenting a novel framework designed to streamline the classification process within the output layer. Operating on correlation matrices created by signals received by a 4 × 4 planar antenna array, our DCNN predicts angles of arrival in 3D space. We assess the model's performance in scenarios involving the simultaneous reception of signals, employing the mean absolute error as a metric to gauge prediction errors in the angle domain. The simulation results affirm the superior performance of the proposed deep learning-based scheme. The model's robustness is rigorously examined across various validation cases, providing conclusive evidence of its potential in real-world applications.

This paper studies tracking control problem which is applied on the 16-wheel heavy-duty AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle). Firstly, the trajectory detection scheme is designed based on magnetic navigation sensors. Secondly, the 16-wheel heavy-duty AGV control model is simplified as a two-wheel AGV model according to Ackermann steering principle, and fuzzy trajectory control regulation is established based on car driving experience. Finally, a trajectory control simulation system for circular/straight trajectories is built in MATLAB Simulink to verify the effectiveness on trajectory control. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Hydrogen (H2), as a carbon-free fuel, is considered as one of the most promising solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of hard-to-decarbonize energy and transportation sectors. As such, hydrogen-fueled internal combustion engines (H2 ICEs) have recently been receiving increasing attention, particularly in applications such as on-road/off-road heavy-duty transport and combined heat and power. The direct injection (DI) of gaseous hydrogen into the combustion chamber offers great potential for achieving high power density and high engine efficiency, while mitigating the ris of bacfire and reducing pre-ignition. However, the numerical simulation of H2 DI system remains a formidable challenge associated with the high computational cost of reproducing compressible supersonic flow and shocs in narrow injector passages and in near-nozzle regions. In general, there is a lac of well-established and validated practices for the modeling of high-pressure H2 DI in large-bore engines. To this end, this study focuses on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling of the mixture formation process in a heavy-duty optical engine employing a medium-pressure H2 DI system. Both Large Eddy simulations (LES) and Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stoes (RANS) simulations are performed and evaluated against optical data. Gaseous hydrogen is injected into the combustion chamber via a centrally located outward opening hollow-cone injector at a pressure of 40 bar. simulations are carried out for two injection timings, namely, -120 and -60°CA. The numerical predictions for H2 distribution in different horizontal and vertical planes during the compression stroe are systematically compared against optical data obtained through planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) measurements. Overall, the LES approach using the Dynamic Structure model is found to have good predictive capabilities for the early jet penetration in terms of length and shape, as well as the later H2 distributions. The growing interest in 2D materials for novel electronic devices has sparked extensive research into their properties. These atomically thin materials, such as graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides, possess unique properties that make them highly appealing for various applications. In this context, our study focuses on investigating the material and non-ideal properties of the 2D layered semiconductor bismuth oxyselenide (Bi 2 O 2 Se) and its native oxide Bi 2 SeO 5 . Through a multi-scale simulation approach combining density functional theory (DFT) with technology computer-aided design (TCAD), we extract critical parameters and simulate transfer characteristics, demonstrating the potential of these materials in nano-electronics.

This paper presents a novel approach to sensorless speed control of induction motors utilizing sliding mode control (SMC) and Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS). The proposed control scheme employs vector control, using two sliding mode regulators to achieve precise and robust control performance. The absence of mechanical sensors enhances the system’s reliability and reduces overall costs, making it a viable solution for various industrial applications. The induction motor model is developed based on its electrical and mechanical dynamics, and the control system is designed to estimate rotor speed and flux using stator current and voltage measurements. The MRAS-based estimator compares a reference model with an adaptive model, minimizing the error between the two to provide accurate rotor speed and flux estimates. The sliding mode controllers ensure robust performance by effectively handling system uncertainties and external disturbances. simulation results demonstrate that the proposed sensorless control system maintains stability and accuracy under load and speed variations.

The growing potential of organic thinfilm transistors (OTFTs) as a viable alternative to traditional semiconductor technologies, focusing on the design of complex digital circuits using p-type OTFTs. While OTFTs have gained attention, there is a gap in the literature regarding comprehensive designs that fully exploit their unique properties, particularly for logic circuits. The study proposes the design and simulation of universal logic gates-AND, NAND, OR, NOR, and XOR-using LT Spice to evaluate performance metrics such as power dissipation and operational delay, in comparison with conventional CMOS circuits. The results show that OTFT-based circuits achieve approximately 30% lower power dissipation than their CMOS counterparts while maintaining similar operational delays. Furthermore, the development of a 2-to-l multiplexer and a full adder demonstrates the practical applicability of OTFTs in flexible, low-cost electronics. These findings highlight the potential of OTFTs in advancing flexible electronic devices, such as wearable technologies and biomedical sensors, addressing current limitations in organic semiconductor applications.

The paper deals with development of multidimensional model of gas filtration in porous media and numerical algorithm for solving the initial-boundary value problem. The model consists of nonlinear differential equation in partial derivatives with the appropriate initial and boundary conditions. The model makes it possible to evaluate impact of main factors affecting the filtration process such as permeability, porosity, thickness of layers, gas recovery coefficient, viscosity etc. That gives us opportunity to solve practical problems of forecasting the process of gas production as well as making decisions on exploitation of gas deposits. © 2021 IEEE.

Over the last three decades, airports have adopted the Internet of Things (loT) technology in their core services. Luggage scanning, ticketing, and security checkpoints are be-coming increasingly automated, providing a more efficient and reliable process. However, loT merchants disregard the impor-tance of securing their devices, focusing only on the improvements following automation. This oversight has opened the door to numerous opportunities for attackers to exploit vulnerabilities in their system, resulting in damage to the company's reputation. Probable attacks are identified and ranked according to their respective damage to the system through threat modeling. After system implementation, cybersecurity professionals require peri-odic vulnerability assessments that outline potential shortcomings of the system's security to propose solutions to palliate the risks further. This project presents a test implementation of an loT-based camera system using open-source technologies and protocols commonly implemented in commercial solutions. The prototype monitors a given area in a remote location using servo motors that are connected to Raspberry Pis to support pan and tilt (PT) functionality for the cameras. This project aims to apply forensics methodologies typically used in information technology (IT) enterprise networks in the context of loT systems. OWASP's Risk Rating Methodology is used to identify and rate the likelihood and technical impacts of potential risks on the loT surveillance testbed network. Well-known and trusted tools were used to assess vulnerabilities in the system's implementation. Based on the results of the vulnerability assessment, a series of attacks were performed on the system to compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the system and data. The findings from these attacks were used to propose recommendations to secure loT systems in surveillance applications.
