AsaPy is a custom-made Python library designed to simplify and optimize the analysis of aerospace simulation data. Instead of introducing new methodologies, it excels in combining various established techniques, creating a unified, specialized platform. It offers a range of features, including the design of experiment methods, statistical analysis techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization tools. AsaPy's flexibility and customizability make it a viable solution for engineers and researchers who need to quickly gain insights into aerospace simulations. AsaPy is built on top of popular scientific computing libraries, ensuring high performance and scalability. In this work, we provide an overview of the key features and capabilities of AsaPy, followed by an exposition of its architecture and demonstrations of its effectiveness through some use cases applied in military operational simulations. We also evaluate how other simulation tools deal with data science, highlighting AsaPy's strengths and advantages. Finally, we discuss potential use cases and applications of AsaPy and outline future directions for the development and improvement of the library.

The urgent need to develop strategies for predicting and managing flooding disasters has become increasingly important due to the rising frequency and severity of such events largely attributed to the effects of climate change. Artificial intelligence presents an approach to effectively tackle this pressing issue. This study thoroughly examines how artificial intelligence techniques are being used in flood forecasting and control. It explores the utilization of data sources like satellite imagery and Internet of Things (IoT) sensors to enhance the accuracy of AI based predictions. However like any advancement utilizing artificial intelligence in this field comes with its own unique set of challenges. The aim of this research is to investigate concerns that require attention in the realm of AI powered flood management. These challenges encompass aspects such as ensuring data integrity across geographical regions, efficiently handling the computational requirements of deep learning models and addressing issues related to fair distribution of AI powered flood control technologies. By examining methodologies employed in this domain along with their associated challenges, this paper seeks to provide an understanding of how artificial intelligence profoundly influences the future direction of flood prediction and control.

This study aims to explore and analyze the significant role of Operations Research/Management Science (OR/MS) in the field of cancer research. The purpose of this work is to identify and highlight the various applications, methodologies, and contributions of OR/MS techniques in advancing cancer research, as well as to establish how OR/MS can effectively contribute to the development of innovative strategies, optimization of treatment protocols, decision-making processes, and overall improvement in cancer treatment. Fifteen papers with an extensive diversity of motivations were explored. Optimization of radiation therapy treatment plan, cancer prevention and personalized cancer therapy were some of the objectives of these works. Robust optimization, multi-objective optimization, Mixed Integer Programming, simulation and optimal control are some of the OR/MS techniques applied to cancer analysis.

Problems of control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are investigated. The problem of developing an automatic controller to maintain the spatial position of UAVs is addressed. The spatial position here is altitude, yaw, roll and pitch angles. It is assumed that the initial information comes from the MPU6000 type sensors. An approach to solving the problem of signal denoising and tuning is proposed. Sensors of this type output loads (accelerometers) and angular velocities. To calculate the current angle, it is necessary to integrate the angular velocities. In doing so, it becomes necessary to solve two problems. First, angular velocities are measured in the local coordinate system, while the spatial position of the UAV is calculated relative to the global coordinate system. Second, when integrating angular velocities, the effect of error accumulation occurs. The possibilities of refining gyroscope readings based on accelerometer readings are investigated. A simulation program is developed on the basis of a mathematical model of quadcopter motion. The source of forces and torques acting on the system is the Earth's gravity, the thrust force and torques generated by the motors, and the drag force. Numerical methods are used to solve the system of equations. A PD controller is proposed to maintain the spatial position of the quadcopter. The coefficients are found experimentally. The proposed approach is verified in a computer simulation program.
