Theories on sphere-structure support vector machine (SVM) and multi-classification recognition algorithms were studied in the first place, and on this basis, in view of the issue of the difference in the hypersphere radiuses resulted from the difference in the quantity of the training samples and the discrepancy in their distributions, the concepts of relative distance and weight were introduced, and subsequently a new algorithm of sphere-structure SVM multi-classification recognition was proposed on the basis of weighted relative distances. Accordingly, the data from the UCI database were used to conduct simulation experiments, and the results verified the validity of the algorithm propose.

soft segmentation takes an important role in partial volume segmentation for MRI brain image. soft segmentation is also more flexible than hard segmentation. But the membership functions are usually sensitive to noise. In this paper, we proposed a multiphase soft segmentation model for nearly piecewise constant images based on stochastic principle, where intensities of the image are modeled as random variables with mixed Gaussian distribution. Our contributions lies in two aspects. On the one hand, by introducing mixed Gaussian distribution to the fidelity term, our model is robust to noise and bias. On the other hand, by developing a bi-direction projected primal dual hybrid gradient algorithm (PDHG), the model can be implemented efficiently with simplex constraint.

In this paper, we present a novel multi-ensemble technique for decision fusion of bimodal information. Exploiting the dichotomic property of 2D emotion model, various ensembles are built from given bimodal dataset containing multichannel physiological measures and speech. Through synergistic combination of the ensembles we investigated parametric schemes of decision-level fusion. Up to 18% of improved recognition accuracies are achieved compared to the results from unimodal classification.
