We propose a method for enhancing cybersecurity in spacecraft operations by analyzing and reducing the attack surface of flight software. We advocate for reducing complexity in the software architecture and adopting more secure architectural principles to mitigate vulnerabilities and make spacecraft more resilient against cyber attacks. By utilizing a systematic approach, we scrutinize key areas, such as the real-time operating system (RTOS) and operating system abstraction layer (OSAL), and develop mitigations for issues we find. This study's findings suggest strategies for simplifying abstractions to make them more secure, addressing implementation issues, and providing supporting evidence for moving to a more resilient architectural approach.

Nowadays, automation software systems play a crucial role in assisting humans with specific tasks, particularly in online communication for timely interactions. However, the misuse of such systems poses risks, impacting website performance, leading to data access violations, or even posing threats to the system's security. To address these challenges, an automatic software inspection system has been developed as a prototype, aimed at preventing potential issues in the online domain. Machine learning algorithms are employed to enhance detection accuracy, with the decision tree algorithm demonstrating a maximum accuracy of 97.4%. This promising result suggests its suitability for further development into a JavaScript library, offering a valuable resource for future website applications.

Dependability is an intrinsic attribute of a system and a key decision factor for evaluating and accepting successful system performance. The dependability of a system is affected by different factors in different stages of its life cycle, and it must be properly managed. The key to achieve dependability is to adopt a life-cycle approach to obtain dependability. This paper analyzes the meaning of dependability life cycle, and on the basis of introducing the existing system, data and product life cycle models, constructs the system dependability life cycle model, including concept, development, realization, utilization and retirement/re-use of five life cycle stages. Considering the wide application of software system, the dependability life cycle model of software system is further studied and established. The implementation of dependability activities in each phase of the system life cycle can promote the realization of system dependability and create dependability value.

This work introduces a novel approach by modifying an existing solver used to calculate the curing resin process simulation analysis. The laplacianFoam solver was used as the starting point, adding new features to the heat equation and the evolution equation of the resin curing degree. This modification led to the development of a new solver with significantly enhanced capacity. To validate its efficiency, a typical differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) curve of a resin was considered, corroborating the outcome results. Furthermore, a comparison was made between the experimental data results and those from a licensed simulation software, demonstrating the superior performance of the developed solver with over 96% accuracy. This research also presents a more practical approach than the licensed simulation software.
