Industry 4.0 technologies are gaining traction with every aspect of modern manufacturing and distribution procedures. In the context of supply chain management, where the flow of products and information is of the utmost importance, these technologies play a crucial role in achieving accuracy, speed, and flexibility while being cost effective. A central node of each supply chain is the distribution center. The main functionalities of distribution centers concern receiving, storing, packaging and dispatching goods, while managing all necessary information related to them. The paper at hand provides a short yet representative literature survey for the Industry 4.0 technologies that have been adopted so far in the logistics applications of contemporary distribution centers. The standard processes are outlined and examined in terms of their automation with novel applied or theoretical technological solutions. In addition, the emerging processes of distribution centers are discussed including demand forecasting and automation in last-mile delivery. Discussions and future trends are also presented, and the adoption pace of the new technologies is analyzed.

The journey from 2G to emerging 6G is impressive, mirroring the long evolutionary path of wireless communication technology. We address critical transitions in cellular networks in light of architectural transformation, performance metrics, and the enablers of new technologies. Key trends identified: from Kbps data rate growth exponentially in 2G to Tbps in 6G;a fall of latency from the 500-ms level to sub-millisecond latency;and more importantly, from human-centric communication to machine-centric communication. It will bring some breakthrough technologies, like terahertz communications, intelligent reflecting surfaces, and quantum computing integration, revolutionizing the network configuration and capability. 6G networks will highlight many unprecedented applications such as holographic communications and extended reality;however, that is not possible without addressing various challenges related to spectrum efficiency, energy optimization, and security challenges. This report synthesized technical literature, standardization documents, and industry insights to propose a roadmap of future wireless networks with innovative and AI-integrated spectrum utilization concepts and sustainable designs. The results are critical to researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders in the shaping of the next generation of wireless communication systems. © 2025 IEEE.

Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have grown into a powerful picture identification tool. They are an important part of making Internet of Things (IoT) apps. In this regard, CNNs make it possible to analyse visual data gathered from networked devices, like cameras and sensors, effectively and accurately. With an emphasis on its potential for real-time applications for example smart surveillance, healthcare monitoring, autonomous cars, and industrial automation, this study investigates the incorporation of CNN-based image identification into IoT contexts. We tackle important issues such as the requirement for low-latency processing, energy economy, and computing limitations on edge devices. In order to maximise CNN performance in the resource-constrained IoT ecosystem, strategies like model compression, edge computing, and distributed architectures are covered. The ability to interpret large volumes of visual data is improved by the integration of CNNs with IoT, providing creative solutions for automation and intelligent decision-making across numerous industries. © 2025 IEEE.

Cyber-attacks are ever growing and ransomware being one of the major threat to the safety of cyber users. The number of Ransomware attacks has increased considerably more so after the COVID-19 pandemic. Ransomware is targeting businesses, governments and critical infrastructure rather than individual cyber users due to huge monetary gains from bigger targets. This paper presents an overview of ransomware and why ransomware should be perceived as an Advanced Persistent Threat (APT). The current trends of Ransomware are described. In this paper, various ransomware attacks that occurred recently are discussed, the state of the art techniques for detection of Ransomware, guidelines for prevention are also presented in this paper. Robotic Process automation (RPA) is an emerging approach designed to automate repetitive human tasks through the use of software-based robots. In the context of business processes, RPA involves configuring these software robots to perform the tasks that were previously carried out by human employees within the organization. Adopting RPA has many benefits, including increased productivity, greater accuracy, shorter cycle times, strengthened data security, and increased corporate efficiency. Organizations may simultaneously free their workers from tedious and repetitive activities, thanks to this technology. However, enterprises must successfully manage the process to achieve the best results because RPA installation poses a considerable obstacle. This paper aims to help businesses successfully use RPA into their business processes. Specifically, it introduces a novel methodology aimed at guiding organizations in the analysis of business processes that are currently used and to identify the important amendable process for RPA implementation. Since most communications in vehicular networks rely on wireless transmissions, information broadcast by vehicles is highly susceptible to interception and eavesdropping by third parties, making it vulnerable to various attacks. This can result in communication messages being tampered with and the leakage of vehicle locations and identity privacy. From a security perspective, this paper introduces Yao's garbled circuit mechanism, combining random bytes with the solutions of linear equations as identity information assigned to vehicle nodes. By employing dual authentication, the proposed approach addresses issues such as privacy protection, anonymity, replay attacks, and collusion attacks in vehicular networks, thereby enhancing security. Moreover, considering the post-authentication access control scenario, this paper proposes a novel LSSS matrix transformation algorithm for ciphertext hidden access control strategy. It realizes a partially hidden policy, which makes matrix generation more efficient by supporting both AND and OR gates, thus improving the access control efficiency while ensuring security. Performance analysis indicates that in terms of identity authentication, the scheme reduces computational costs by an average of 96.25%, and in access control, the scheme reduces key generation time by an average of 80%. In order to increase automation, strengthen decision- making, and improve efficiency while reducing costs and maintaining precision, the development of intelligent machinery is becoming more and more dependent on the integration of data, embedded software, and modern technologies. Reliability of embedded software becomes essential for guaranteeing high system performance and an improved user experience as technology and hardware merge to build smart devices. This work explores methods to quantify software reliability, which measures the likelihood of residual failures in a system. The objective is to build a statistical relationship between quality parameters and product or process metrics through the analysis of software metrics produced from development data. These indicators aid in evaluating the software's dependability and performance, enabling developers to spot and fix possible problems early on. Using pattern recognition algorithms to pinpoint software's fault-prone areas is a crucial strategy for enhancing software reliability prediction. These algorithms enable developers to focus attention on software areas that have a higher likelihood of failure by identifying patterns in the product's code or structure that suggest increased risk. In summary, these methods focus on enhancing the reliability of intelligent machines by equipping developers with advanced tools to reduce defects, improve dependability, and ensure that smart systems perform optimally. This approach aligns with modern trends in using machine learning and data-driven models to tackle complex technological challenges. © 2025 IEEE.

In democratic societies, the efficiency and integrity of the voting process are paramount. The DigiVoter system presents an innovative approach to addressing the longstanding challenges of voter verification at polling booths, which have been identified as significant barriers to voter turnout and operational efficiency. By integrating facial recognition technology powered by OpenCV with a blockchain-based data storage solution, DigiVoter aims to automate and secure the voter verification process, thereby reducing queue times from the current average of 7 min to under 2 min. This paper explores the development and implementation of DigiVoter, emphasizing its potential to streamline the electoral process, enhance data security, and increase voter participation. The use of OpenCV allows for accurate and swift voter identification, while the blockchain component ensures the integrity and immutability of voting records, addressing concerns about data tampering and privacy. Preliminary results indicate that DigiVoter can significantly improve the voting experience, suggesting a promising avenue for leveraging technology to support democratic engagement.
