This paper presents a method of urine detection based on front vision and image recognition. Urine detection apparatus is composed of a conveyor belt, a urine detection card, an automatic detection needle and an automatic detection camera, a mobile device and so on. In order to realize the rapid and accurate identification of the circular hole in urine, the model of the front vision of the urine detection instrument was modeled. Firstly, the forward monocular vision imaging model is presented, including the design of software and hardware, and the coordinates of the target center in the image are obtained by combining the characteristic of the target. Then, through the visual calibration model, the target location of monocular vision is achieved, and the coordinates of the center of the circular hole in the camera coordinate system are obtained. The center coordinates of each circle center coordinate of the urine detecting card are consistent with the coordinate of the automatic dripping needle, and the automatic dripping needle can drop down the test liquid to the center of the circular hole of the urine detection card. The experimental results show that this method can detect the urine of different patients in large scale. This method has high sensitivity, shorter detection time, more rapid and efficient, simple and convenient operation. This method has accurate and reliable detection results.

Blood cell analysis, including blood cell counting, is the key point for modern pathological study as well as medical diagnosis. Taking into account both resources and environment of the medical research, analyzing blood cells under the microscope, instead of dedicated blood cell analyzer, provides a more intuitive and convenient way for research uses. This paper aims to provide a method to count red blood cells (RBCs) automatically by analyzing blood cell images collected from a microscopic hyperspectral imaging system. The classification algorithms-spectral angle mappings (SAMs) and support vector machines (SVMs) are used to segment blood cell image. In order to identify RBCs in the image, a standard RBC model has been built to match RBCs in the segmentation results based on SAM classification algorithm. RBC counting results are therefore obtained from the identification and the counting accuracy reaches about 93%. For the sake of higher precision, an improved algorithm, using segmentation results based on SVM classification algorithm to screen the previous matching results, is proposed and the counting accuracy increases to about 98% after applying the improved algorithm.

Retinal images can be used for helping ophthalmologist to diagnose the eye diseases, and glaucoma, hypertension, coronary heart diseases and so on, so it's very important. The most important content of this article is a new structural feature for retinal registration. There are many methods of retinal image registration;some are also used by this time. Lots of methods used the main bifurcation points and angles. This method is well and effective, but there are some problems, for example, the angles about bifurcation maybe repeat, so in two images, the bifurcation registration may be failed. On the basis of this, in this paper we proposed a structure-matching registration method. The bifurcation structures are consists of a main bifurcation point and its three connected branches. The each numerical value of bifurcation is composed of the bifurcation angles and its three lengths by normalized. On the other hand the bifurcation structure will be invariant against rotation, translation and scaling. By this method, we can reduce the matching error caused by repeated. This method could be used alone, also could be used with other methods. © 2016 IEEE.

This paper introduces a fast blind deconvolution strategy for image deblurring by modifying a recent natural image model, i.e., the total generalized variation (TGV), which aims at reconstructing an image with higher-order smoothness as well as sharp edges. But, when it turns to the blind issue, as demonstrated either empirically or theoretically by a few previous blind deblurring works, natural image models including TGV are more often than not inclined to trivial solutions, e.g., the delta blur kernel and the input blurred images. Inspired by the discovery, a simple, yet effective modifying strategy is applied to the second-order TGV, leading to a novel l(0)-l(1)-norm-based image regularization adaptable to the blind deblurring problem. Then, a numerical algorithm is deduced with O(NlogN) complexity, via borrowing ideas of the operator splitting method, the augmented Lagrangian, and also the fast Fourier transform (FFT). Experimental results on both synthetic and real color blurred images demonstrate the superiority or comparable performance of the new approach to state-of-the-art ones, in terms of deblurring accuracy and efficiency.

Recent learning-based face super-resolution methods, such as Yang's Sparse Coding Super-Resolution (SCSR) are promising with sharp edges visually. But it also leads to obvious artifacts. In order to eliminate the artifacts, Online Dictionary Learning (ODL) algorithm is introduced in the dictionary learning phase to generate accurate overcomplete dictionary. On the other hand, the reconstruction regularization parameter is tuned independently to acquire the optimal sparse coefficient. With the solved dictionary and sparse coefficient, the recovered high-resolution image patches are predicted to reconstruct the target output image. In the experiments, the PSNRs and SSIMs of the proposed method are much higher than some state-of-the-art super-resolution methods. The PSNR is 0.85dB higher than SCSR in average, while the SSIM is 0.0133 higher. The artifacts and noise along the edges and corners are both eliminated effectively. More details of the faces are added to make the recovered high-resolution image clear. Additionally, the PSNRs decreases more smoothly while the noise level of the input lowre-solution image increases. It means that the proposed algorithm has promising performance in super-resolution reconstruction with good denoising effect. © 2016 IEEE.

Parking cars in a crowded parking lot is nontrivial for many drivers. Car cameras have been used extensively to assist parking. However, due to the limitation of the Angle of View (AoV), dead zone still exists. In this paper, we give the design of a panorama parking system based on DM6437. Our system captures videos around a car through four wide-angle cameras mounted at different sides of the car. Then, it leverages image mosaic techniques to provide a real-time panorama video of the car. With the help of our system, drivers can observe the environment around the car as far as three meters from a top view. Experimental results show that our system can satisfy the requirements for practical use and provide strong assurance for parking cars safely.

Learning-based methods have been the mainstream in single image super-resolution (SISR) over the past decade or so. This paper, however, returns to the reconstruction perspective to SISR, and studies the possibility of achieving competitive or even better SISR performance compared with state-of-the-art learning-based approaches in the literature. Specifically, through the (fast) iterative shrinkage-thresholding algorithm, a general, simple, yet accurate SISR framework is proposed by embedding off-the-shelf image denoising algorithms into the reconstruction process rather than struggling to develop advanced image priors. Numerous experiments on the benchmark dataset are performed accompanied by comparisons against a few recent learning-based methods, e.g., A+, SRCNN, etc. The results have demonstrated well the rationality and superiority of the proposed framework in terms of the super-resolution accuracy as image filtering schemes such as BM3D, WNNM, and other possible candidates, are used. Note that, learning-based filtering schemes can be also plugged into our framework, which hence leads to hybrid reconstruction/learning-based SISR approaches, demonstrating the flexibility as well as the potential of the proposed framework.

This paper aims to combine the practical application of artificial intelligence and modern navigation collision avoidance, to solve the difficult collision problem of ships which going through the complex water area. Based on AHP (The Analytic Hierarchy Process), ANN (Artificial Neural Network) and other methods, this paper proposes the T minutes prediction algorithm. In this algorithm, the parameter T varies with the changes of ship's specific environment such as the speed, the direction and the weather conditions and so on. According to the value of T, it predict the coordinates of ships T minutes later, marked as P and estimate whether there exist any collision risk there. If the ship is in a dangerous situation, it will sound a warning in advance and build a collision avoidance priority list in accordance with the different risk value of the target ship. This list will be provided to the driver to alert them to take early action to avoid collision according to the different risk level, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing maritime collisions. © 2016 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a method to analyze epileptic electroencephalogram based on time series that is transformed from improved k-nearest neighbor network. The study of complex networks has become a hot research of electroencephalogram signal. Electroencephalogram time series generated by the network keeps node information of network, so researching the time series from the network can also achieve the purpose of studying epileptic electroencephalogram. The results of this experiment show that studying power spectrum of time series from the network is more easily than the power spectrum of time series directly generated from brain data to distinguish between normal and epileptic patients. In addition, studying the clustering coefficient of improved k-nearest neighbor network is also able to distinguish between normal and patients with epilepsy. This study can provide an important reference for the study of epilepsy and clinical diagnosis.

To feature the location and morphology of inkjet printed dots, the printing quality characterizing and testing method of inkjet printed single dot is established. The digital single dot image of several tens of single dot on the square lattice point was designed. Then, the single dot image as the testing pattern was printed. The optical reflectivity of the testing pattern on micrometer-scale was acquired by the optical microscope, CCD capturing and optical calibration. The shape and location of each dot are determined with the optical reflectivity. The ideal coordinate distribution of the several tens of dots is derived from the statistical distribution of the measured values. The difference between the two mentioned distributions is used to represent the location accuracy of the dots. The area of dot and the parameters derived by elliptical fitting of the border of the dot are used to characterize the shape quality of dot. The method is applied to the inkjet printing plate process. The location accuracy of dot reached to the level of several micrometers. The diameter of the single dot is about 30 micrometers. The major axis of the fitting ellipse of dot has the certain statistical quality indicators. It indicates that the method can provide a general quantification characterization of the location and morphology quality of inkjet printed dots. This method can meet the demand of testing and analysis on the inkjet printing.
