A number of other important tasks can not be effectively carried out without proper time synchronization in wireless sensor networks. So time synchronization is an important part of wireless sensor network, and it has high research value. In this paper, an improved IROS synchronization algorithm is proposed based on the study of ROS synchronization protocol. By studying the correlation between the random components of different time points in the ROS algorithm, and the use of generalized least squares method to estimate model parameters. Thus, improve the accuracy of the time, and enhances the robustness of the algorithm, to achieve the purpose of optimization. The simulation results show that the IROS algorithm is less than ROS algorithm, and the average error ratio is 10 μs, and IROS broader scope, more robust.

The time-domain response is analyzed by precise integration method in condition of non-uniform coupled transmission lines in this paper. Different to the traditional method, this method directly analyzes it according to the non-uniformity of non-uniform transmission lines so as to avoid decoupling the coupled telegraph equations. The accuracy and speed of the analysis are improved greatly. It is a novel method to analyze time-domain response in condition of non-uniform coupled transmission lines.

Wireless Capsule Endoscopy (WCE) is a novel revolutionary medical technology obtaining visual information of the entire gastrointestinal, especially the small intestine. However, reviewing a WCE video is a highly time-consuming assignment for the doctors. Focused on the salient region of the WCE images, this paper has proposed a new method to obtain the video abstract. The most representative frames are detected combined mutational and gradient detection. The experiments were performed on 8 video clips and the results demonstrated a promising performance of the proposed method. The average sensitivity, specificity, accuracy and compression are as high as 98%, 84%, 87% and 72%.

Object occlusion is widespread in video surveillance due to the influence of angle and environment, which brings a great impact on the target tracking and makes the development of video object tracking encountered meeting many constraints. The challenge in video object tracking is how to track accurately when the target is obscured. We use the frame difference method to detect the target and smooth the target trajectory by using Kalman filter. When the target is occluded, we can select the appropriate fitting section after smoothing trajectories and use the least square method to fit the target motion path adaptively, so we can predict the object location. By comparing the experimental results with the actual motion of the target, it shows that the algorithm can be used to track most of the occlusion targets precisely.

Geometrical warp model for alignment is a key issue in image stitching. For robustness, most of the commercial tools for stitching use global parametric warps to bring image into alignment, which is suitable for ideal imaging conditions that the images to be stitched differ purely by rotation or the imaged scene is purely planar. When such conditions are violated alignment artifacts or “ghosting” will appear in the final result which leads to unconvincing visual effect. For this reason, J. Zaragoza et al [1] proposed a local homography based registration warp model which reduces the alignment error and improve the stitching quality greatly. But we find that this model is in general not optimal mainly due to the involved parameters is same for all positions in the stitched images. In this paper, we propose an optimal local warp model in which the parameters for computing the local warp model are location dependent. Experiment results verified that our model obtained a more accurate alignment; hence the final stitching quality is improved.

In order to recognize the hand gesture and provide the application in human interaction and rehabilitation training, we designed a system based on wireless surface electromyography signal collection and recognition. The system was mainly composed of the hardware and software. For the hardware design, the center control unit of each module was enhanced by 80C51 MCU. The electrode patch collected surface EMG signals that were amplified by the instrument amplifier AD8422 and A/D conversion, then the information was send to the host computer. For the software design, we extracted the feature of average, root mean square and AR coefficients, and achieved the recognition results by support vector machine. The device is small and portable, i.e. 37mm×27mm×15mm. The part of host computer can meet many kinds of signal analysis as well as the human interaction.

The ROI (region of interest) extraction is the key step in palmprint or palm vein recognition, which is very important for the subsequent feature extraction and recognition. In this paper, the ROI extraction method for palmprint and palm vein recognition is mainly studied. Firstly, the preprocessing operation of palmprint and palm vein is carried out by using binary and morphological denoising technology, then the ROI regions are located and extracted based on the maximum inscribed circle and centroid methods. Finally, the algorithms are tested on PUT palm vein database and CASIA database, the experimental results show that the methods of this paper have a good effect, which are feasibility and validity. Furthermore, an online ROI extraction simulation system is designed in this article. The palmprint or palm vein image can be obtained in real-time by using the camera through the system, then the ROI can be extracted. The simulation system is intuitive and easy to operate, which provides a reliable experimental platform for the study of palmprint and palm vein recognition technology.

Background subtraction is a fundamental and critical component in many high-level video processing applications. It remains a challenging task in complex scenes due to difficult factors such as illumination variations, cast shadows and dynamic backgrounds. In this work, we propose a novel background subtraction method for coping with RGBD videos. Our method is built upon a recent random sampling-based model and employs two consecutive procedures of multi-cue fusion to achieve foreground detection. In the first procedure, we obtain coarse foreground detection result by weighted fusion of separate outputs of color-based and depth-based background subtraction. Then multi-cue based adaptive refinement with spatio-temporal consistency is performed in the second procedure to produce the final foreground detection output. Experimental evaluations on several datasets demonstrate that the proposed method can handle challenging difficulties in complex scenes and it outperforms state-of-the-art methods both qualitatively and quantitatively.

A programmable low-frequency filter for biomedical signal sensing application is presented here based on the principle of fifth-order Bessel transconductance capacitor (Gm-C) ladder filter. Current division and current cancellation techniques are used to achieve ultra-low Gm for operation transconductance amplifier (OTA) design. Active inductor is designed through a gyrator structure composed of an OTA and a capacitor. In order to achieve tunable cutoff frequency for the filter, constant Gm and variable capacitor structures are utilized in the design. The cutoff frequency can thus be adjusted as 35Hz, 150Hz and 250Hz through two digital control bits CTRSA and CTRSB. Gm is also adjustable to compensate frequency drift caused by the process and temperature variation. The filter was designed with 0.18μm 1P6M CMOS technology and achieves a THD of 61.2dB and consumes 12.38μW under 1.8V supply voltage.

Digital content creation become an indispensable part of our lives. In addition, massive internet images provide us abundant creation material. To construct a computer-aided graphics creation system, interaction and convenience are the critical factors. With somatosensory interactive technology, we can interact with our devices in a more natural and intuitive way, and gain immersive experience at the same time. In this paper, we present a sketch driven image creation system by retrieving and composing internet images automatically. These images are retrieved according simple freehand sketch annotated with text labels. With the help of RealSense depth camera, user only need to make various hand gestures to draw the sketch in spatial and tag with the text labels by speech. Then our system will complete a series of tasks to generate image automatically, thus it greatly reduce the burden of painting and increase the fun and interactive friendliness.
