Network link failures can cause heavy congestion and skewed bandwidth usage. It is crucial for traffic engineering to switch multi-tunnel flow from faulty to non-faulty tunnels. Most existing studies on network link failures focus on achieving optimal network performance in terms of bandwidth usage, network congestion, and reliability, while neglecting to adequately consider flow completion time for applications. We propose AptTE, an efficient scheduler for multi-tunnel flows in traffic engineering aimed at reducing flow completion time and improving bandwidth utilization, even in the event of network link failure. The essence of AptTE lies in employing minimum impact scheduling to minimize the overall impact of scheduling one flow on subsequent flow scheduling. Simulation results demonstrate that AptTE enhances bandwidth utilization, reduces average completion time for multi-tunnel flows, and exhibits superior adaptability to network link failures compared to alternative approaches.

The video game industry has a fast-growing multi-billiondollar market. Due to the fast evolution of game technologies and industry, there is a pressing need to survey and analyze the current game development processes so that students who have an interest in game development can have better knowledge and skills for their projects in game software engineering education. In this paper, we present our survey and analysis of multiple aspects of modern game development and provide useful insights for students who want to work on game development. We also present a model of the common components of the game development process as well as the amount of the workload involved. This can help students, who are interested in developing their own games, craft a realistic plan for such projects.
