Preservice teachers in primary education should be well equipped to meet the challenges of teaching primary science effectively in 21 century. The purpose of this research was to describe the projects for the implementation of science-Technology-Society (STS) approach in Basic Concept of Natural science course as application of optical and electrical instruments' material by the preservice teachers in Elementary Schools Teacher Education Program. One of the reasons is the lack of preservice teachers' ability in making projects for application of STS approach and optical and electrical instruments' material in Basic Concept of Natural science course. This research applied descriptive method. The instrument of the research was the researcher himself. The data were gathered through observation and documentation. Based on the results of the research, it was figured out that preservice teachers, in groups, were creatively and successful to make the projects of optical and electrical instruments assigned such as projector and doorbell. It was suggested that the construction of the instruments should be better (fixed and strong structure) and more attractive for both instruments, and used strong light source, high quality images, and it could use speaker box for projector, power battery, and heat sink for electrical instruments.

The study aimed to develop a 7E model lesson on Earth Systems and implement it through the lesson study approach. The developed lesson was based on the standards provided by the Department of Education in the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Senior High School where it underwent a series of validation, revision and evaluation for further improvement prior to its implementation. The study tested the effects of the developed 7E model lesson on the conceptual understanding of the respondents. The developed 7E model lesson was implemented through lesson study approach to the three class sections of Grade 11 STEM of Iligan City National High School, School Year 2017-2018. Achievement test was conducted to the respondents. The result of the study shows that respondents exposed to the developed 7E model lesson had significant higher test scores in the post-test as compared to the pre-test. Result implies that there is a positive significant impact of the 7E model lesson on the conceptual understanding of the respondents on Earth Systems.

Improved learning outcomes will be obtained whereby strengthened learning process. One of the things that must be fulfilled in, the strengthening of the learning process is through the use of contextual relevant and hands-on activity-based learning media. One of the learning media that meets the criteria is the butterfly house. The purpose of this research is to focus on how Pre Service biology teacher can improve their creative thinking skills through a series of project-driven activities that lead to fluency thinking, flexible thinking, original thinking, elaboration, and evaluation. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test design. The results showed that the ability of the pre-service Biology teacher had a significant improvement in creative thinking skills (thinking fluently, fluid, original, detailing and assessing) after following a series of project-based practicum. The category of increase (N-Gain) is 0.89 which is included in the high category. So it can be concluded that there are significant a differences in creative thinking skills consisting of fluency thinking, flexible thinking, original thinking, elaborating thinking and thinking of evaluating pre-service biology teacher students before using project-based practicum and after being given a project-based practicum.

The low and medium frequency signal generator with high precision and high stability is widely used in experiment courses, mechanical, engineering and other fields. In order to meet the special needs of these fields, this paper puts forward a design scheme of signal generator based on DDS. Combined with the advantage of virtual instrument technology, the user can set the signal parameters on PC control panel made by Lab VIEW. And the lower computer can generate kinds of signals with specific frequency, phase and amplitude efficiently. The experiment results show that the design scheme introduced in this paper can accurately produce sine wave, square wave, triangle wave within 0.1 Hz to 1 M Hz frequency and this design has been successfully applied to the experiment courses in colleges and universities.
