The parallel algorithm of Petri net based on multicore clusters is put forward in order to make the Petri net system with concurrent synchronous function realize parallel control and ***,select different Petri net structures and conduct transformation,and give the partitioning method of the subnets of place invariant-based Petri net ***,put forward the parallel algorithm of Petri net based on multicore clusters according to the MPI+OpenMP+STM(STM,Software Transactional Memory and transactional memory)three-level parallel programming model and combining with the parallelized analysis of the changes of internal subnets and among the *** experiment results show that the algorithm can better reflect the actual running process of Petri net system,and it is a feasible and effective method of realizing the parallel control and running of Petri net system.

OCSVM(one-class support vector machine)is a variant of SVM which only use positive class sample set in *** only positive samples can be used in OCSVM,Fully exploiting and using the features of the training samples is of great significance to improve its classification ***,two aspects of study on kernels have been done in this paper: first,we propose a kernel constructing method called WFCD(weighted feature-contribution-degree)kernel constructing method,in which a PCA(principal component analysis)is performed to the training samples to obtain a vector set with the dimension being sorted by corresponding eigenvalues and then using this vector set to apply a weighed kernel method to concentrate on the larger eigenvalue dimensions;second,we employ the Fisher kernel in OCSVM to decide whether a kernel constructed based on the training sample set has better *** results on UCI standard data sets indicate that our method outperforms the general kernel methods and promotes the classification effect considerably.

The benefits of Vehicle Electronic Stability Control(ESC)are well understood with regard to assisting drivers to maintain vehicle control during extreme handling maneuvers or when extreme road conditions are *** goal of this paper is to study and develop an Electronic Stability Control(ESC)system model by utilizing the functionality of Matlab-Simulink and used Carsim to validate the developed ESC model.A certain vehicle dynamics model created in CarSim was validated by comparing simulation results with quasi-static and dynamic test *** ESC system model was built in Simulink and was tuned through cosimulation with the CarSim vehicle *** ESC system was designed to operate in Yaw Stability Control(YSC)and Roll Stability Control(RSC)*** performance of the system was evaluated using the Sine with Dwell and Fishhook *** study proved the possibility to develop functional ESC system given a Carsim vehicle model and simulate the performance comparable to actual ESC system onboard the vehicle.

Through the linear correlation analysis between the local feature and its K-nearest-neighbor visual words and significance testing of locality-constrained linear coding,this paper finds that the fundamental reason for causing nonsignificance of the weight coefficient is the multicollinearity of K-nearest-neighbor visual words in Locality-constrained Linear Coding(LLC)***-constrained principal component linear coding can solve the multicollinearity and improves the classification accuracy,but it increases the time overhead of the *** paper presents an improved scheme called Locality-constrained linear coding based on the principal components of visual *** determine the principal components of K-nearest-neighbor visual words of each local feature is simplified to only determine the principal components of visual *** have been conducted for comparing and evaluating the proposed method utilizing the Caltech-4 *** results show that locality-constrained linear coding based on the principal components of visual vocabulary reduces the time overhead and the same time it retains the advantages of Localityconstrained principal component linear coding.

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology has been widely used in applications such as inventory control, object tracking, supply chain management. An important research is to estimate the number of tags in a certain area covered by readers. This paper extends the research in both temporal and spatial dimensions to provide much richer information for monitoring the dynamics of distributed RFID systems. More specifically, we are interested in estimating the joint properties of any two snapshots taken at arbitrary locations and arbitrary times in a system. With many practical applications, there is however little prior work on this problem. We propose a joint RFID estimation protocol based on a simple yet versatile snapshot construction. Given the snapshots of any two tag sets, although their sizes may be very different, we design a way to combine their information and more importantly derive formulas to extract the joint properties of the two tag sets from the combined information, with an accuracy that can be arbitrarily set. Through formal analysis, we determine the optimal system parameters that minimize the execution time of taking snapshots, under the constraints of a given accuracy requirement. Our simulation results show that the proposed protocol can reduce the execution time by multifold when comparing with the best alternative approach in the literature. Copyright © 2015 ACM.

A healthcare cloud is used by healthcare service providers for storing, maintaining, and backing up personal health information along with structured management of the health data across multiple healthcare providers. On a daily basis, healthcare services deal with different kinds of digital information ranging from structured to unstructured. The widespread adoption of electronic health records have resulted in an improved patient health and safety as well as significant savings in healthcare costs. Moreover, deploying healthcare records over cloud environment will enable access of critical patient's information at any time and from anywhere. But many enterprises are facing a major research challenge due to the unavailability of suitable cloud architecture for design, development, and deployment of healthcare services. In this paper, a flexible architecture for SaaS-based healthcare services has been proposed specifically for healthcare applications, which is capable of semi-structured healthcare data management and storing compatible with Health Level Seven (HL7) standard (Hennessy et al. in A framework and ontology for mobile sensor platforms in home health management, 2013;Liu et al. in iSMART: ontology-based semantic query of CDA documents AMIA annual symposium, pp. 375-379, 2009) [6, 7]. HL7 specifies the structure and semantics of "clinical documents" for the purpose of sharing;therefore, data can be easily shared among the applications. © Springer India 2015.

To solve the poor performance of existing cloud platforms in high-performance computing, our research team developed a high-performance cloud computing platform based on MPI. As a cloud platform, massive data storage is a key technology. In the research, we mainly studied how to build a MPI cloud platform that supports massive data storage, and implement a distributed cluster constructed by MySQL. This paper introduces the feature of MPI cloud platform, how to build the cloud platform database and the implementation of related SQL operations on the database. Based on this, we test the related operations in the database, and elaborate the shortcomings and challenges of the distributed database in this cloud computing platform.

As multicore processor architectures are now prevalent in server nodes of parallel and distributed computing systems, it has become important to characterize the performance of applications run on these architectures. This study investigates the performance degradation an application experiences from memory interference due to other applications colocated on cores of the same multicore processor. We propose a methodology for designing models that are capable of utilizing varying amounts of information relating to an application and its co-located applications to predict the application's execution time performance degradation due to co-location. We evaluate the models sing several application co-location scenarios based on real world test data from two scientific benchmark suites on two server class Intel Xeon multicore processors.
