In this paper, the identification of arousal and valence levels in people monitored by means of electroencephalograms is presented. More specifically, different images were exposed to several volunteers in order to induce different basic emotions i.e. happiness, sadness, fear, and anger, where brain activity was recorded employing a BCI Emotiv EPOC X helmet. The measured signals were processed and modified accordingly to determine the main areas of the brain activated during the experiments through statistical analyses.
