In this article we present a 2D cellular automaton (Class_AC) to solve a problem of text mining in the case of unsupervised classification (clustering). Before to experiment the cellular automaton, we vectorized our data indexing textual documents from the database REUTERS 21,578 by the approach of N-grams. The cellular automaton that we propose in this paper is a grid cell structure with a flat neighborhood arising from this structure (planar). Three functions of transitions were used to vary the automaton with four states for each cell. The results obtained show that the virtual machine parallel computing (Class_AC) effectively includes similar documents on near threshold. Section 1 gives an introduction, Section 2 presents representation of texts based on the n grams, Section 3 describes the cellular automaton for clustering, Section 4 shows the experimentation and comparison results and finally Section 5 gives a conclusion and perspectives.

A single flash-based Solid State Drive (SSD) can not satisfy the capacity, performance and reliability requirements of a modern storage system supporting increasingly demanding data-intensive computing applications. Applying RAID schemes to SSDs to meet these requirements, while a logical and viable solution, faces many challenges. In this paper, we propose a Hybrid Parity-based Disk Array architecture, HPDA, which combines a group of SSDs and two hard disk drives (HDDs) to improve the performance and reliability of SSD-based storage systems. In HPDA, the SSDs (data disks) and part of one HDD (parity disk) compose a RAID4 disk array. Meanwhile, a second HDD and the free space of the parity disk are mirrored to form a RAID1-style write buffer that temporarily absorbs the small write requests and acts as a surrogate set during recovery when a disk fails. The write data is reclaimed back to the data disks during the lightly loaded or idle periods of the system. Reliability analysis shows that the reliability of HPDA, in terms of MTTDL (Mean Time To Data Loss), is better than that of either pure HDD-based or SSD-based disk array. Our prototype implementation of HPDA and performance evaluations show that HPDA significantly outperforms either HDD-based or SSD-based disk array.

Dynamic program execution monitors allow programmers to observe and verify an application while it is running. Instrumentation-based dynamic program monitors often incur significant performance overhead due to instrumentation. Special hardware supports have been proposed to reduce this overhead. However, these supports mostly target specific monitoring requirements and thus have limited applicability. Recently, with multi-core processors becoming mainstream, executing the monitored program and the monitor simultaneously on separate cores has emerged as an attractive option. However, communication between the two often becomes the new performance bottleneck due to large amounts of information forwarded to the monitor. In this paper, we present compiler techniques that aim to minimize the communication overhead. Our proposal is based on the observations that a monitor only requires specific information from the monitored programs and some information can be easily computed by the monitor from data that have already been communicated. We developed a code generator and optimization techniques to decide the set of data items to forward and the set to compute, so that the total execution time of the monitor is minimized. Our compiler can optimize a variety of monitors with diverse monitoring requirements, taking as input the control flow graph of the monitored program and the set of data that needs verification. Using a static binary rewriter, we evaluate the performance impact of the proposed compiler techniques on the SPEC2006 integer benchmarks for two intensive monitoring tasks: taint-propagation and memory bug detection. Comparing to instrumentation-based monitors, the proposed techniques can bring down the performance overhead of the two monitors from 10.6× and 9.0× to 2.36× and 2.17×, respectively.

For some sensor network applications, the problem of sweep coverage, which periodically covers POIs (Points of Interest) to sense events, is of importance. How to schedule minimum number of mobile sensors to achieve the sweep coverage within specified sweep period is a challenging problem, especially when the POIs to be scanned exceeds certain scale and the speed of mobile sensor is limited. Therefore, multiple mobile sensors are required to collaboratively complete the scanning task. When the mobile sensor is restricted to follow the same trajectory in different sweep periods, we design a centralized algorithm, MinExpand, to schedule the scan path. When the scan path of the existing mobile sensors has been exceeds the length constraint, MinExpand gradually deploys more mobile sensors and eventually achieves sweep coverage to all POIs. When the mobile sensors are not restricted to follow the same trajectory in different sweep periods, we design OSweep algorithm, where all the mobile sensors are scheduled to move along a TSP (Traveling Salesman Problem) ring consists of POIs. We conduct comprehensive simulations to study the performance of the proposed algorithms. The simulation results show that MinExpand and OSweep outperform CSWEEP in both effectiveness and efficiency.

It is significant for companies to ensure their businesses conforming to relevant policies, laws, and regulations as the consequences of infringement can be serious. Unfortunately, the divergence and frequent changes of different compliance sources make it hard to systematically and quickly accommodate new compliance requirements due to the lack of an adequate methodology for system and compliance engineering. In addition, the difference of perception and expertise of multiple stakeholders involving in system and compliance engineering further complicates the analyzing, implementing, and assessing of compliance. For these reasons, in many cases, business compliance today is reached on aper-case basis by using ad hoc, hand-crafted solutions for specific rules to which they must comply. This leads in the long run to problems regarding complexity, understandability, and maintainability of compliance concerns in a SOA. To address the aforementioned challenges, we present in this invited paper a comprehensive SOA business compliance software framework that enables a business to express, implement, monitor, and govern compliance concerns.

This paper presents educational content of the vocational education and education at all as a broad information system. The authors point out the absence of formalization in educational content notation analysis and design on the contrary of other fields, where modeling plays irreplaceable role. For modeling this information system they use Unified Modeling Language UML, which is specialized language for system specification primarily in object-oriented manner. The paper further refers to a parallel between object-oriented analysis and design OOAN and object-oriented didactical transformation OODT. Modeling in OODT context leads to models with zero redundancy in educational content which represents so called basic curriculum. Identifying that basic curriculum is still unresolved and discussed because the pedagogical theory hasn't defined methodology for explicit expression of the basic curriculum yet.

While the advances in networking technologies actually enable mobility and ubiquity of access to computing resources located at different administrative domains, the progress in multimedia technologies has created large amounts of digital content that can be purchased and distributed on the Internet. Within this setting, the problem of the copyright protection of digital content has become a well-known research topic. This paper presents the architecture of a web software platform able to implement the copyright protection of digital content based on digital watermarking technology. The platform is structured as a service-oriented architecture composed of a federation of coordinated web entities and service providers which play distinct roles and interact within a trusted environment. Furthermore, the proposed architecture enables service providers to use a specific middleware to exploit the computing resources they need to provide their protection services. In fact, the middleware can aggregate computing resources directly available on the Internet as well as those belonging to multidomain, non-routable networks, thus enabling service providers to build internal computing environments arranged as cluster grids.

In order to effectively handle the growing amount of available RDF data, a scalable and flexible RDF data processing framework is needed. We previously proposed a Hadoop-based framework, which takes advantages of scalable and fault-tolerant distributed processing technologies, originally proposed as Google's distributed file system and MapReduce parallel model. In this paper, we present a method extending the Pig data processing platform on top of the Hadoop infrastructure. Pig compiles programs written in a high level language, called Pig Latin, into MapReduce programs that can be executed by Hadoop. In order to support RDF, Pig was extended with the ability to load and store RDF data efficiently. Furthermore, as reasoning is an important requirement for most systems storing RDF data, support for inferring new triples using entailment rules was also added. In this paper, we describe these extensions and present an evaluation of their performance.
