Wave-based human tracking is a key enabling technology for smart applications. Most of the existing works on this topic employ the conventional approach of device-free object localization, which treat any person as a general moving target rather than distinguish different persons. As a result, the existing approaches have poor performance in the scenarios of multi-person tracking, especially when there are crossovers among different persons’ trajectories. This paper presents mMTAI, a novel approach for multi-person tracking with a mmWave radar. By exploiting mmWave sensing to capture a human’s biometric features, MMTAI augments mmWave radar based human tracking with the ability of identifying different persons. Specifically, MMTAI is able to sense persons’ scalp responses to the signals and their head-shoulder distances, which are then continuously mapped to their trajectories using a bipartite matching algorithm. We implement MMTAI with a commercial mmWave radar and evaluate its performance under various settings. The results show that in the multi-person tracking scenarios, mmTAI has a median tracking error of 12.33 cm, which is $35.88 \%$ lower than that of the state-of-the-art approach.

Dynamic channel pruning is a technique aimed at reducing the theoretical computational complexity and inference latency of convolutional neural networks. Dynamic channel pruning methods introduce complex additional modules for dynamically selecting channels for images. Due to the additional modules, dynamic channel pruning methods never achieve optimal acceleration effect in real world. To address this problem, we propose Consecutive Dynamic Channel Pruning (CDCP), a novel dynamic channel pruning framework unified for almost all dynamic pruning methods designed for continuous image processing. The core idea of CDCP stems from our observation that adjusting the network for all frames in semantically continuous scenes is unnecessary since adjacent frames often share similar network structures in dynamic channel pruning. CDCP introduces a simple binary classifier to determine whether the network structure needs to be adjusted for a new frame. Our method can also be used for semantically non-continuous image processing tasks with a slightly lower probability of model reuse. We validate the effectiveness of CDCP on three dynamic channel pruning methods and better acceleration effects are achieved when applied them with CDCP to the semantically continuous Waymo dataset, the nuScenes dataset, and the semantically discontinuous COCO dataset.

The task of talking head generation for the media interaction system is to take images and audio clips of the target face as input, and generate a realistic video of the target synchronized with the audio. Most of the existing works directly take all the information in the image as input, which causes the problem of feature information redundancy. At the same time, in the stage of feature fusion, the image and audio information is directly spliced, and the relationship between the two modal information is ignored. To solve the problems, we initially implement the disentanglement of image by introducing a loss function to separate the image into identity features and content-related features. Besides, we introduce a multi-head selfattention mechanism to learn the relationship between the two modal information of image and audio, and implement the full fusion of multi-modal information. In addition, we validate the effectiveness of our model through extensive quantitative and qualitative analysis of two datasets. Extensive experiments show the superiority of the proposed model in all aspects.

In recent years, container technology has gained significant attention in the software industry, with many businesses opting for its elasticity, cost-effectiveness, and ease of implementation. The most common way to ensure a seamless user experience is to keep a substantial number of containers active throughout the day, which causes resource over-provision. Conversely, closing the container right after handling the requests can reduce memory consumption but generate a cold start whenever the request arrives. Cold start occurrence and resource usage is a trade-off and presents a significant challenge on the container *** address this challenge, we observe that serving consecutive requests with the same container can notably decrease the number of cold starts. We propose TAC, a Temporal Adjacency Function Clustering algorithm, to meet the challenge. TAC selects the functions with time adjacency requests into a cluster from the historical data. TAC packs functions serving time adjacency requests into a cluster to reduce cold starts and enable efficient resource utilization. The experiment result shows that TAC reduces 8% cold start occurrences and 53% memory usage with the real-world traces compared to the state-of-the-art methods, e.g., Defuse [1] and Hybrid histogram policy [2].

Meteorological decision-making is a crucial element in the meteorological disaster warning and prevention field. With the increasing frequency of meteorological disasters and the rapid development of edge intelligence, there is an urgent need to establish a meteorological early-warning platform that reduces human resource investment, decreases operating costs, and provides targeted information and response suggestions. Therefore, we propose the development of real-time decision-making based on edge intelligence-driven meteorological knowledge graph (EMKG), and aim to achieve meteorological emergency decision-making by combining the knowledge graph with edge intelligence. First, we collect data through edge devices and perform preprocessing and preliminary analysis on these devices to reduce the time and bandwidth requirements for data transmission to the cloud. Based on the above data, meteorological entity recognition and relation extraction were completed using techniques such as BERT, BiLSTM, CRF, and data augmentation. Then we trained a text generation model and deployed it on edge devices to achieve real-time meteorological decision-making. The experimental results show that EMKG effectively integrates edge intelligence and knowledge graph, and further improves the real-time and accuracy of meteorological decision-making.

The recently proposed class-imbalanced semi-supervised learning (CISSL) algorithms achieved impressive performance by effectively leveraging unlabeled data. However, these algorithms often rely on a pre-defined fixed confidence threshold to filter unlabeled data during training, which overlooks the varying learning dynamics across different classes in class-imbalanced scenarios. Consequently, valuable data could be discarded, leading to degraded performance on minority classes. To tackle this issue, we introduce a novel method called Class-Adaptive Threshold (CAT), which dynamically defines and adjusts the confidence threshold based on the learning status of each class. The core idea of CAT is to iteratively update the thresholds for different classes at each time step, enabling us to fully exploit valuable information that would otherwise be ignored using fixed threshold algorithms. Importantly, CAT does not introduce any additional inference processes. In our experiments, the proposed algorithm achieves state-of-the-art performance on various class-imbalanced datasets. Furthermore, we show that CAT can be seamlessly integrated into the renowned CISSL algorithm, resulting in a remarkable boost in their performance.

Smart contracts typically involve the transaction and management of digital assets in blockchain, and their security has always been a focal point. Current vulnerability detection methods often suffer from low efficiency, high costs, and limited accuracy. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a vulnerability detection method that fuses local data flow and global structural features. This method comprises two sub-networks: DFGPNet and SASTNet. The DFGPNet sub-network takes the contract source code and its corresponding data flow graph (DFG) as input, using a pre-trained model based on programming languages to extract local vulnerability features, focusing on the key data flow information of contract vulnerabilities. The SASTNet subnetwork serializes the abstract syntax tree (AST) corresponding to the contract as input, and extracts global vulnerability features by combining a bidirectional long short-term memory network (BiLSTM) with a self-attention mechanism, focusing specifically on the global structural information of contract vulnerabilities. The features from both sub-networks are fused and passed through a fully connected layer and sigmoid function for vulnerability prediction. To validate the model's effectiveness, experiments on a dataset of 26,080 smart contracts, covering three common vulnerability types, demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms seven state-of-the-art detection techniques in precision, recall, and F1 score.

The current Internet makes forwarding decisions based on only destination addresses, leading to a prevalence of IP source address spoofing. To mitigate the risks posed by IP spoofing, Source Address Validation in Intra-domain and Interdomain Networks (SAVNET) has been recently proposed and become a hot topic in both academia and industry. While all network equipment can not be upgraded to support SAVNET during one night, incremental deployment is needed for network operators. However, SAVNET can not defend against all spoofing attacks under partial deployment. Thus, we need to carefully choose nodes to be deployed, to improve incentive benefits during incremental deployment. In this paper, we formulate the incremental problem and prove that the problem is NP-Complete. To efficiently solve the problem, we propose a heuristic deployment scheme named SOID (SAV protocol optimized incremental deployment). The intuitive idea of SOID is using the sink-tree to get the detectable flow sets of each router. Then, it selects the routers which have the maximum total weight during each iteration. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, we conduct comprehensive simulations with generated and real topologies. The simulation results show that SOID performs much better compared with traditional schemes, such as random deployment and minimum vertex cover algorithms, with a manageable overhead.

Mining high-quality logical rules is crucial as they can provide beneficial interpretability for predictions. Recent methods that incorporate logical rules into learning tasks have been proven to yield high-quality logical rules successfully. However, existing methods either rely on the rule instances observed to support rule mining, or simply embed the rule head and the rule body to learn from them. Additionally, they can not fully utilize the rich semantic information contained in logical rules and overlook the intrinsic correlations between all relations within the domain. In this paper, we propose a model called Correlation and order-Aware Rule Learning (CARL) that captures deeper semantic information in rules by allowing relations to be co-aware of each other and paying attention to logical sequence sensitivity. CARL utilizes semantic consistency between the rule body and rule head as its learning objective, continuously introducing more semantic information and logically simplifying the rule body while considering logical sequence sensitivity. We explored the internal correlations between domain relations and used the thought of knowledge distillation to simplify modules so that relations in CARL can share or perceive each other’s information or state efficiently. Experiments on link prediction tasks have demonstrated that CARL can learn higher-quality rules and yield state-of-the-art results on four popular public datasets. https://***/burning5112/CARL

With the continuous evolution of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency platforms such as Ethereum have emerged as centers for digital asset transactions and smart contracts deployment. However, this nascent financial ecosystem also introduces potential money laundering risks. The traditional financial industry has accumulated significant antimoney laundering (AML) experience and technical means for monitoring and detecting money laundering activities. Yet, the adaptability of these established AML algorithms in the context of blockchain remains unclear. This paper aims to investigate the practical adaptability of traditional AML algorithms on Ethereum data through empirical experiments. We gather eight real-world money laundering case datasets collected from Ethereum and conduct experiments using three traditional AML algorithms on these datasets. We evaluate the performance of these algorithms from various angles, including precision, recall, and the distribution of detected accounts' labels in comparison to the original datasets. It turns out algorithms demonstrate distinct performance in diverse money laundering cases, indicating that the adaptability of traditional AML algorithms on Ethereum data presents certain adaptability and limitations. Holoscope's accuracy demonstrates the value of dense subgraph properties in Ethereum money laundering detection, and further research can be conducted based on this model framework combined with the money laundering characteristics of Ethereum. Our study provides valuable insights for strengthening AML mechanisms on blockchain platforms and offers guidance for further research on detecting money laundering accounts in blockchain environments.
