Since the advent of the web2.0, the amount of digital data available became increasingly overwhelming for a user looking for specific information. As a consequence, personalisation systems aiming at assisting the user in this task have emerged. The use of semantic web technologies to represent user profiles and their interests has shown some promising results allowing to infer preferences not directly gathered via explicit or implicit profiling. On the other hand, linguistic values, often conveniently used by humans when expressing their tastes or preferences, are another way to provide richer representation of user preferences. The aim of this paper is to propose a combination of semantic user modelling and linguistics values, and to show how a recommender system could benefit from this representation. To achieve this objective, we first propose an integrated semantic user model based on FOAF, permitting the expression of contextualised and weighted interests. An integration of linguistic values within this user model is then exemplified and, finally, we also propose an aggregation method to exploit linguistic values in recommender systems.

The wide adoption of web2.0 services has resulted in an increase in the amount of information produced. The quantity of errors contained in such information has grown even faster. Indeed, in traditional information production process documents were produced by professionals while in the web context the content is generated by the users themselves. It is therefore necessary to take into account the errors particularly when such systems need to manage information of variable quality. Our state of the art leads us to identify difficulties in the comparative evaluation of error correction systems. Our proposal consists in an evaluation model for error correction systems and low-level string similarity (and distance) metrics they rely on. This model is implemented in an extensible platform providing a framework to evaluate those systems.

The adaptation in Social and Semantic webworkshop analyzes the benefits adaptation and personalization have to offer within the current web and the web of the future, and the numerous open challenges, putting together the Semantic web, Social web and adaptation field. The workshop discusses the state-of-the-art, open problems, challenges and innovative research approaches in adaptation and personalization for web2.0 and web 3.0. It provides a forum for proposing innovative and open model, applications and new data sharing scenarios, as well as novel technologies and methodologies for creating and managing these applications.

The rapidly developing web environment provides users with a wide set of rich services as varied and complex as desktop applications. Those services are collectively referred to as ``web2.0'', with examples such as Google Docs, Flickr, or Wordpress, that allow users to create, manage and share their content online. By switching from desktop applications to their cloud-based web equivalents users release even more data online. It is the user who creates this data, who disseminates it and who shares it with other users and services. Storing and sharing resources on the web poses new security challenges. Access control, in particular, is currently poorly addressed in such an environment and is not well suited to the increasing number of resources that are available online. We propose a new approach to access control for the web. Our approach puts a user in full control of assigning access rights to their resources which may be spread across multiple cloud-based webapplications. Unlike existing authorization systems, it relies on a user's centrally located security requirements for these resources.

Most Europeans use the Internet for searching health information [1] and many of them use the web2.0 to access health information and services, share knowledge and socialize. There is an emerging trend towards the developing of personalized Health 2.0applications which could dramatically change how the health consumers use the web. This paper provides an overview of personalization in the Health 2.0 domain and it presents the ongoing project MyHealthEducator, which is an early example of personalization in the Age of Health 2.0. MyHealthEducator aims to study the feasibility of using Recommender Technologies for delivering personalized and adaptive recommendations of web health information based on the user's Personal Health Records and content from their community (e.g. user's comments).
