According to continuous increasing of spam email, 92.6% of recent total email is known spam email. In this research, we will show an adaptive learning system that filter spam emails based on user's action pattern as time goes by. In this paper, we consider relationship between user's actions such as what action is took after one action and how long does it take. They analyze that each action has how much meaning, and that it has an effect on filtering spam emails. And that in turn determines weight for each email. In experimentation, we will compare results of system of this research and weighted Bayesian classifier using real email data set. Also, we will show how to handle personalization for concept drift and adaptive learning.

In this paper we analyze in detail the central role of number '137', the so-called fine structure constant in the collaboration of Pauli and Jung. First, we present the fascination or the obsession of Pauli for the interpretation of number '137'. Second, we treat the spontaneous messages originating from unconscious concerning number '137' in the well-known dreams of Pauli. We restrict our investigations to the dreams containing the especially important formulae of fine structure constant (4pi 3 + pi 2 + pi), and also that containing the so-called background models of mathematical control systems. Third, we shortly mention four of the numerous synchronicities arising during the Pauli-Jung collaboration.

One of the aims of the research in the field of the human-computer interaction is the design of a natural and intuitive interaction modalities. In particular, many efforts have been devoted in the development of systems able to interact with the user in natural language. Chatbots are the classical interfaces for natural language interaction. Such systems can be very sophisticated, including support for 3D avatars and speech analysis and synthesis. However, all of them present only a text area allowing the user to input her sentences. No doubt, an interaction involving also the natural language can increase the comfort of the userwith respect to common interfaces using only graphical widgets. However, multi-modal communication must be preferred in all those situations when the user and the system have a tight interaction. Typical examples are cultural heritages applications (intelligent museum guides, picture browsing) or systems presenting to the user an information integrated from different sources as in the case of the iGoogle (TM) interface. In this work we present the Graphical Artificial Intelligence Markup Language, an extension of AIML allowing merging of verbal and graphical interaction modalities. A chatbot system, Graphbot, is also presented that is able to support this language. The language is able to define personalized interface patterns that are the most suitable ones in relation to the type of data exchanged between the user and the system during the dialogue.

Interval data is attracting attention from the data analysis community due to its ability to describe complex concepts. Since clustering is an important data analysis tool, extending these techniques to interval data is important. Applying traditional clustering methods on interval data loses information inherited in this particular data type. This paper proposes a novel dissimilarity measure which explores the internal structure of intervals in a probabilistic manner based on domain knowledge. Our experiments show that interval clustering based on the proposed dissimilarity measure produces meaningful results.

Glycosylation is one of the most important post-translation modifications steps in the synthesis of membrane and secreted proteins and more than half of all proteins are glycosylated. In this paper, we propose a principal component analysis (PCA) based subspace approach for patternanalysis and prediction of O-glycosylation sites in protein. PCA is used to find principal components and subspaces of glycosylated residues and nonglycoslylated residues, respectively. From the calculated principal compoents, we found that the glycosylted proteins all have a high serine, threonine and proline content. The prediction can be viewed as a 4-classes classification problem or 2-classes classification problems. We project the protein sequence (test vector) into each subspace and calculate the distance between the test vector and its projection on the subspace. The protein sequence can be classified into the "nearest" class. The prediction accuracy for nonglycosylated sites (negative sites) is about 70%-90%, and the accuracy for O-glycosylated sites (positive sites) is about 70%-100%.

In this paper, we propose an image mining using wavelet transform. It uses general pattern matching, pattern recognition and data mining concepts so that a real life scene/image can be related to a particular category, helping in different prediction and forecasting mechanisms. It is a three-step process i.e. image gathering, learning and classification. As wavelet transform uses time frequency relation, it can be used for image mining instead of Fourier transform. Wavelet transform is used to decompose an image into different frequency sub bands and a low frequency sub band is used for Principal Component analysis. Classification relates to identifying the category to which an image belongs. We have developed prototype system for recognition using DWT + PCA system. The concept of image mining thus can be efficiently used for weather forecasting so that we can know the natural disasters that may occur in advance.
