The Jewish orthodox community is considered a secluded group within the israeli people. In the Jewish orthodox community in israel it is common that only the women study general studies such as mathematics and science while most of the men focus on religious studies. In such cases the women become the wage earners in their families. In order to fulfill their potential orthodox women are required to acquire higher education in the standard Academic institutes. Like many others of the younger generation they also are attracted to softwareengineering, computer science and the digital high-tech world. Since they come from an environment that does not allow women and men to study together, a special program was established for them by an academic college allowing them to study in their own separated group for a degree in softwareengineering. They study the exact same curriculum as the secular mixed group but on a different campus. Since they come from a different background it is interesting to compare their achievements in studying to those of the mixed group. To do so and avoid the influence of their initial education the author decided to look into one 4th years course given both to the orthodox group and to a mixed group. The author, who was the lecturer of this course, for both the orthodox and mixed group, compares in this work the differences and similarities between the two groups, both by addressing their measurable success in the course and in attendance, active participation and more.

The importance of social communities around open-source software projects has been recognized. Despite that a lot of relevant research focusing on this topic, understanding the structures and dynamics of communities around open-source software projects remains a tedious and challenging task. As a result, an easily accessible and useful application that enables project developers to gain awareness of the status and development of the project communities is desirable. In this paper, we present MyCommunity, a web-based online application system to automatically extract communication-based community structures from social coding platforms such as GitHub. Based on the detected community structures, the system analyzes and visualizes the community evolution history of a project with a set of semantic-rich events, and quantify the strength of community evolution with respect to different events with a series of indexes. Built-in support to quantitative analysis and machine learning tasks based on the quantitative evolutionary events are provided. We demonstrate the usefulness of the system by presenting its ability in predicting project success or failure with the community evolution features. The results suggest the system achieves a prediction accuracy of 88.5% with commonly available machine learning models.

The application of mobile technology plays a crucial part in achieving increased sugarcane productivity. Mobile applications, equipped with advanced developer features, offer rapid and user-friendly access to vital information. Traditional methods of estimating sugarcane production relied on manual data recording on paper, followed by data transfer to computersystems, typically managed by sugar factory junior plant officers. This conventional approach presents several inherent weaknesses, including time and effort intensiveness during data recording and entry. Additionally, the potential for errors in calculation and data input is a concern. The storage capacity for paper-based documents is finite, and farmers are often unable to autonomously assess their production potential. The objective of this research is to confront these obstacles by creating a sugarcane production application for Android. This application functions as an information engineering approach focused on forecasting sugarcane yields for plantation owners and their assistants. The development procedure adhered to the systematic waterfall method, following the principles of the software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model. Data collection was carried out through observations, while interviews with junior plant officers provided valuable insights into sugarcane estimation techniques. Analysis involved the synthesis of observational and interview data to inform the design of the application's interface and algorithmic system.
