In a increasingly globalized world, it is very important to help students to acquire the hard and soft skills needed to cope with the challenges they will face when working in such environments. However, even though students find this subject interesting and volunteer for it, it is hard, even impossible to teach college students such a distributed fashion of teamwork. In this paper, a case study is provided to illustrate the methodology and experiences of a joint course, distributed software development, of multiple universities from Asia, Europe, North and South Americas. The results show that student can get the spirit, effective communication for such web-based teamwork environment and achieve software project development. The recent developments because of the Covid-19 pandemic are the facts that now students have to cooperate remotely with each other not only across continents but also inside their own city or country. It has increased the awareness of the need for this kind of training and effectively improved the interactions between team elements in different countries and improved the students' feeling of belonging to their team.

Teaching machine to answer arbitrary questions is a long-term goal of natural language processing. In real dialogue corpus, informative words like named entities can often be infrequent and hard to model, and one primary challenge of dialogue system is how to promote the model's capability of generating high-quality responses with those informative words. In order to address this problem, we propose a novel pre-training based encoder-decoder model, which can enhance the multiturn dialogue response generation by incorporating external textual knowledge. We adopt BERT as encoder to merge external knowledge into dialogue history modeling, and a multi-head attention based decoder is designed to incorporate the semantic information from both knowledge and dialogue hidden representations into decoding process to generate informative and proper dialogue responses. Experiments on two response generation tasks indicate our model to be superior over competitive baselines on both automatic and human evaluations.

Since IoT sensor nodes have narrow bandwidth and fault-prone wireless channels, sensor-based logistics systems are subject to incomplete data services. The surest way to minimize the this unstable service is data replication at multiple sensor nodes. In this study, we propose a replica management scheme called Bridged Replication Control(BRC) in order to achieve sufficient data accessibility in fault-prone moving sensor networks such as smart logistics. BRC provides temporary opportunity of replica access even to the disconnected wireless cell and handles the access opportunity via one temporary privilege called WLanBridge token. Since BRC has a generic functionality of efficient data management for mobile sensor devices, it can be widely employed in IoT service networks.

We propose a tool-based approach to allowing caregivers to define services for in-home daily living activities, leveraging their knowledge and expertise on the older adult they care for. This approach consists of two stages: 1) a wizard allows caregivers to define an assistive service, which supports aspects of a daily activity, specific to an older adult; 2) the wizard-generated service is uploaded in an existing smart home platform and interpreted by a dedicated component, carrying out the caregiver-defined service.

As the largest source code repository, GitHub has played a vital role in modern social coding ecosystem to generate production software. Despite the apparent benefits of such social coding paradigm, its potential security risks have been largely overlooked (e.g., malicious codes or repositories could be easily embedded and distributed). To address this imminent issue, in this paper, we propose a novel framework (named GitCyber) to automate malicious repository detection in GitHub at the first attempt. In GitCyber, we first extract code contents from the repositories hosted in GitHub as the inputs for deep neural network (DNN), and then we incorporate cybersecurity domain knowledge modeled by heterogeneous information network (HIN) to design cyber-guided loss function in the learning objective of the DNN to assure the classification performance while preserving consistency with the observational domain knowledge. Comprehensive experiments based on the large-scale data collected from GitHub demonstrate that our proposed GitCyber outperforms the state-of-the-arts in malicious repository detection.

In this paper, we first propose an Ignorant Spreader Vacciner(Immune) Fence-sitter (ISVF) diffusion model, which focuses on the symbiosis and confrontation of rumor and antirumor in social networks. based on it, a stochastic game model is proposed to overcome the incomplete knowledge and the uncertainty in user's choice of behavior. We design a utility function that matches the characteristics of user diversity to interpret the confrontation between rumors and anti-rumors. In order to learn neighbor strategies effectively, a Deep Q-Network (DQN) based approach is proposed. Simulation results based on the real datasets reveal that this model significantly accelerates positive information propagation.
