Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is a promising technique to increase spectral efficiency and support various emergingapplications by sharing the spectrum and hardware between these functionalities. However, the traditional ISAC schemes are highly dependent on the accurate mathematical model and suffer from the challenges of high complexity and poor performance in practical scenarios. Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a viable technique to address these issues due to its powerful learning capabilities, satisfactory generalization capability, fast inference speed, and high adaptability for dynamic environments, facilitating a system design shift from model-driven to data-driven. Intelligent ISAC, which integrates AI into ISAC, has been a hot topic that has attracted many researchers to investigate. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive overview of intelligent ISAC, including its motivation, typical applications, recent trends, and challenges. In particular, we first introduce the basic principle of ISAC, followed by its key techniques. Then, an overview of AI and a comparison between model-based and AI-based methods for ISAC are provided. Furthermore, the typical applications of AI in ISAC and the recent trends for AI-enabled ISAC are reviewed. Finally, the future research issues and challenges of intelligent ISAC are discussed.

In the emerging fields of flexible electronics and bioelectronics, protein-based materials have attracted widespread attention due to their biocompatibility, biodegradability, and processability. Among these materials, silk fibroin (SF), a protein derived from natural silk, has demonstrated significant potential in biomedical applications such as medical sensing and bone tissue engineering, as well as in the development of advanced biosensors. This is primarily due to its highly ordered beta-sheet structure, mechanical properties, and processability. Furthermore, SF-based memristors provided a material choice for producing flexible wearable, and even implantable bioelectronic devices, which are expected to advance intelligent health monitoring, electronic skin (e-skin), brain-computer interface (BCI), and other frontier bioelectronic technologies. This review systematically summarizes the latest research progress in SF-based memristors concerning structural design, performance optimization, device integration, and application prospects, particularly highlighting their potential applications in neuromorphic computing and memristive sensors. Concurrently, we objectively analyzed the challenges currently faced by SF-based memristors and prospectively discussed their future development trends. This review provides a theoretical foundation and technological roadmap for biomaterials-based memristor devices, aiming to realize applications in flexible electronics and bioelectronics.

Machine learning (ML) and computer vision (CV) play a crucial role in precision agriculture (PA) by enabling data-driven solutions that enhance crop yields, resource efficiency, and sustainability. These technologies have transformed PA by addressing complex agricultural challenges through real-time monitoring and predictive analytics. This systematic review aims to investigate the recent advancements in ML and CV methodologies within PA, focusing on crop, harvesting, soil and water management. Guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology, the study analyzes 213 articles from the past five years, providing insights into publication trends, key application area, and the distribution of research efforts across various crops and vision data types. The review highlights the predominant use of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) in PA, particularly in crop detection, disease and pest detection, and weed detection. emerging deep learning techniques, such as Vision Transformers (ViTs) and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), are also explored for their potential in visual data analysis. Findings show that maize is the most frequently studied crop, Red-Green-Blue (RGB) imagery is the primary vision data type and self-collected datasets are preferred over public ones. Key challenges include limited access to high-quality and diverse datasets, and the need for adaptable solutions across diverse agricultural contexts. By summarizing these advancements and challenges, this review provides direction for future research and highlights opportunities to expand ML and CV applications in sustainable and efficient agricultural practices.
